@jerrycapone2010 most of the tone in this is in the guitar and the amp. You could probably use a compressor to add a little sustain, but that's about it for pedals. Try to play with the EQ of your amp, maybe add juuuuust a little reverb.

I've seen him in concert several times, and from what I can tell you, is that the media will always spin things, but this guy comes off as just enjoying living out his dream. You can tell that he genuinely loves music. He's realized his dream has come true, and he's just making the best of it. He'll always be known more for his music than his tweets.

Just like anyone under as much media scrutiny as John, he's had some crappy moments but he always seems so grateful for his fans and the life we've all given him in music. He creates absolutely incredible music and I don't see why we have to compare him to dead musicians. If anyone really listens to these guitarists and songwriters, they aren't ever putting each other down (minus Kanye). I've never heard John say anything but praise toward other musicians.
