  • That's pretty easy to do. Sorry, not impressed.

  • No one knows :)

  • @roryando i thought that!!!

  • great job dude. exept for one thing. your losing the flam sound. there is and accent on the flam. and the accent should stand out no matter how fast you go. so try to make it stand out and it would be perfect

  • its actually lR R L rL L R

  • @RGdood actually, swiss triplets never have left hand lead.

  • @MCCProductionz a flam jerkoff then it alternates

  • @RGdood i like to flam off. but only on saturdays. call me ;)

  • @MCCProductionz ight u dirt

  • @RGdood i bet u eat cheetos dont u... pathetic...

  • @MCCProductionz cheetios?

  • man, by the speed he played it, you cant even tell if its a flam rudiment. great job.

  • He's showing what a Swiss army triplet is.. Not a proper technique. Chill out people.

  • Ah...more e-testicals ! the internet = haven for the frustrated little boys & chair jockeys LMAO

  • Am I the only one that hates those sticks?

  • Mines are faster and clean =P

  • @Youngcannonsticks

make a vid, or look ignorant.

  • @omg1a1kitten Trust me, if I could then I would of been did it sir. Lol

  • @Youngcannonsticks

    I'm sure you would.

You sound like such an arrogant fuck to do so.

And nice grammar, by the way.

  • @omg1a1kitten Relax. If it's not you, your family member, or close friend in this video then why the hard feelings? Just my opinion on a video.

  • @Youngcannonsticks

    No hard feelings.

Just annoyed by people who go on the internet, and say than can do something better than someone who actually proves their talent.

That's like going to a football game and saying you can play better than both of the teams.. as you sit there like the rest of the audience and watch.

  • wut kind of sticks are those?

  • I usually alternate hands when I do them. lR L R rL R L.

  • @skamusician Those aren't Swiss Army Triplets then... Flam accents much?

  • the hands slowly panning away after every lesson CRACKS ME UP!

  • Nice front fingers and dirt and trad....

  • i dont like this rudiment. you did it fine, i just dont like the swiss army trips

  • toooooooooooooooooooo fast

  • I thought this was a flam triplet :I

  • @SimonCrooks15 THATS WHAT I THOUGHT AS WELL. LOL

  • how do I learn double stroke rolls im just starting out but I dont know how to do them I already know single stroke .

  • damn i dont know anyone who can do swiss army triplets that fast

  • @austineatsbagels,

then you don't know anyone who can do a double-stroke roll "that fast" either. Kinda sad. You need to go see a drum corps show next summer!

  • I FINALLY learned how to do this. Only reason I couldn't do well was because my flams SUCKED. Haha but now my flams are... flam-y :D

  • bit . ly/jerku

  • i just spent about 30 mins on this. feels really nice, only been playing about 2 months.

  • @beaudjangles same here

  • Comment removed

  • Very good video

    great for instructive purposes, thankyou

  • That person does it pretty fast near the end of the video...

It doesn't show the interesting part of the swiss army triplet very well though, which is a double stroke for each hand in a controlled manner.

  • lR R L

    triplet pattern.

  • @29dave another way to say it: Flam R L not lR

  • @TheRockngrl98 True, I'm just saying lR to mean right flam.

  • @29dave i like more IR L R or rL R L seems more natural to me

  • @erikimba It's all good, just different ways of moving flams around the drumset

  • flam r l r flam

  • its a flam n a triplet

  • thats so slow..

  • this is just a typical flam roll, really easy to do just practice slow.

  • no it isn't. It's a swiss triplet.

Left hand was way too high in this video

  • I discovered this in 7th grade

  • isn't this just a cheese backflip?

  • way to stop alternating lol

  • Your not supposed to alternate buzzcut, it's meant to be played like that

  • lol oh i look at at it wrong. i know.

    thanks

  • ok yeah you can maybe do fuckin anything but.. all i said was you came out a little to fast. it doesnt matter if you learned the shit in drumline or not. i dont fuckin care about that. i learned it from the drummer of rascal flatts. jim riley. i cant go from fast to slow to fast that well. and apperintly you cant either. your not the best in the wotld so dont fucking acr like it. your only human

  • i wouldnt tell every one that....jim riley sucks

  • it easy once you learn it. but the dumass doin it came out to fast..

  • WELL DONE!!! 5 STARS!!! I love this because it sounds very similar to the beats of a two stroke petrol engine.

  • How can people get these mixed up with flam accents?! Argh

  • They must not know what a left or right hand is.

  • its called major stupidity my dad does it all the time.

  • yeah. but can you dumbass

  • wen u go faster it practicully sounds the same for every rudiment

  • not..really.

  • theres a ittle difference but i agree with both of you. its just so fricken fast that its just a blur

  • Make sure to keep the grace note low when playing fast. It is extremely difficult, I know, but it only needs to be about a centimeter from the drumhead.

  • They are not flam accents because there is different sticking so they renamed them. Just like single flam mills are the same rythm as flamadiddles but they use different stickings. along with flam taps and inverse flam taps. So really its not weird if you think about it.

  • thease are swiss army triplets...

flam accents are a diffrent sticking like he said but one thing... accent...

flam accents also emphasize the flam and the other two notes are soft..

  • I think its weird that they call them swiss army triplets because those are actually flam accents

  • No theyre flam accents but you always use the same hand.

So yeah I guess they kind of are.

  • yeah... I do that to, the more rudiments and different patterns you know, the better you become.

  • i alternate my swiss army triplets, is that okay?

  • No that's a flam accent then.

  • exactly, flam accent is totally different sticking

  • no its not.

    flam accents:

    lR l r rL r l

    swiss army triplets:

    lR r l lR r l or rL l r rL l r

alternating swiss army triplets (which i like to do cuz they are tricky and sound good):

    lR r l rL l r

  • Oh yeah that's right. The second note of a flam accent is whatever the main note was of your flam (not the grace note)

  • no thats the swiss army triplets, with out the flam it would be R R L R R L as to where flam accents with out the flam would be regular triplets R L R L R L, and when i say without the flam i mean with out the grace note.

  • good job and all but watch your left hand on the flams it goes up with your right and its not sopposed to

  • why does it matter?

  • cause then your flams arent good and they either are flat or the grace note sounds like the accent

  • lol the right hit after the flam during the slow part is too loud

  • Scott Johnson's are sweet.

  • Instead of make derogatory or irrelevant comments both of you should first say thanks .

  • Im with Drum2live here. VicFirth Rules. The best sticks in the entire world.

  • As for the "vic firth rules" comment, that's rather silly. Both companies make quality sticks. Pro-mark is the only one I know that makes high-quality sticks in large sizes out of white oak, which is much denser and more durable than the usual hickory or oak, and also has a more defined cymbal "ping". I rarely use them (monster sticks = more wrist fatigue and dinged up heads), but for situations that call for exceptional volume and durability, I recommend Pro-mark 2S.

  • LOL, Those monster sticks are Snare Drum sticks, for Drumcorps and Marching band Alike. Those drum sticks are the best stick ever made. You can wail them so hard they won't even break, although, my dad is pro, he goes through 18 paris a year

LOL. Want to see them in action, check out BD Drumline

  • GO BLUE DEVILS!!!

  • Props for posting examples; this is a lick every drummer should know well, and I use it regularly in originals, solos and outro figures. Unfortunately the example is a bit sloppy; many times your 1st stroke is in unison instead of the correct flam. Also, why demonstrate on a practice pad? This is mostly a tom figure in modern music, but demonstrating on the snare is the usual way to go.

  • ha pro mark sticks. vic firth rulez
