Okay, is there a secret to turning the bezel so easily? Should I keep some pool chalk with me? I have the same watch but can never quite get a grip on the scalloped bezel (my ONLY complaint, but at least it never turns accidentally in my pocket).

after a couple of years not being serviced, my seamasters - ring - became very very loose.

after latest service it was very tight again for some weeks.

so i guess, the more you turn it, the looser it will get over time :)

though i got mine 1996, i still love this watch.
