Satyajit Ray used Rabindra Sangeet very less.......and Mrinal Sen perhaps considered Rabindranath bourgeois...............Tarun Majumdar also used Rabindra Sangeet, but most of the time when he was helpless...like in "Alo".....He found no lyricist and music director to match such a serious theme....

ei magic ta sudhu George dar dwaray sombhob. he knows how to respect silence in Robindrosongeet. there are lot of versions of this song. the ones by Dwijen and Hemanta... awful... I heard one by Mohan Singh, fabulous.
