hi aeia! i've loved watching your videos... i'm on day 11 now but have had many oversleeps ... just keep persisting ... question: did you find you couldn't adapt to naps equally 4 hours apart? why the irregular spacing of your schedule?
It is not possible to oversleep because you havent hit REM. Many times you will 'black out' instead of dreaming during your acclimation to polyphasic sleeping. This goes away only after months, I was fully adapted and still had periods which I only 'blacked out" vs REM sleep. It should not affect your oversleeping in any way. Your body simply needs time to release the proper chemicals and be done with it. It doesnt need additional nourishment, although REM sleep is nourishing
So first I have to say, are you following a strict schedule? I.E. "Sleep 25 minutes" set your alarm and DO NOT CHANGE IT? Or have you been setting it back because you havent fallen asleep yet? Try to envision you and someone else guiding you down to the stairs to the first floor, and then envision them taking you further down to basements, below cellars, and continue down until you reach the furthest depth. Do this over and over. I find certain songs repeating in your head help too.
I had decided to place a few naps pretty close because my circadian cycle had been during those hours .
How I chose 22-17 was through expirimentation. I tried intervals up to 30 minutes and I mess around with intervals as low as 10. I figured out which was the best for me. 30 is wayyy too long for me ;D

There are two forms of sleep, Rem and SWS, hitting either will work, and by day 12 you should have NO problem falling asleep quickly.

i wonder if taking naps of 40 mins then working your way down over like 2 weeks would work? to prevent oversleeps bad idea?

It doesn't sound like it would work, but why not try it?

Short but sweet, appreciate u explaining your schedule also.
Hav been trying 12pm-4am-8am-12am-4pm-8pm etc w 20min naps but couldn't adjust to the 4-8am period without regular over sleeps.
Will give yours a try. Thinking the 2-4-7am naps might B a solution 2 above.
Can I ask how u decided on 17-22min napping interals?

Had to give up on Uberman. Too many interruptions from work and back at Everyman.
Might go for the Tesla Cycle in a couple of weeks. Depending on schedule.
Congratulations on your 2-4month anniversary.
