I almost developed similar habit (I was taking codeine which I used to extract from pills), but thanks God, I didn't developed the addiction. And I think I'm bipolar too, that's why I can understand why you did that cause I did it for the same reasons. And yes, you SHOULD be proud of yourself. Well done, girl!

The problem is not with the drug at all. There is a positive good use for Oxycontin, and Morphine, and Diacetylmorphine, and Codeine , and Diluadid, and Demerol, and Hydrocodone, and all other opiates. Some people will have to become terminally ill with cancer to see this truth. People who suffer back pain, and kidney stones, and children who are burned in house fires, and people who have arms pulled off their bodies in car wrecks need narcotics for some quality of life.
After day 3 you begin to start feel a little better, not much but just enough to make you feel a little hope..after 7-14 days you start to lose the physical addiction..you will battle the mental addiction for the rest of your life..You will always be an addict, your mind will make any little thing hurt, just so you will give back into the nightmare...im going on day 4 now..I have been thru this a million times..Good luck- & dont give in!
@thesweetonemanda hey idunno if your still having problems but when i wanna get off codeine i stop and smoke weed until the withdrawl stage from codeine has passed and if you smoke weed straight for a few days when your done your feel so energized and happy and wanna do stuff, hope that has helped :)
I know a 20 year old that popped around 25-30 painpills at one time, some of these pills were oxycontin percaset and other painkillers. Truly scary stuff

Hey I hope you have stayed cleaned, smoking lil bud or drinking is one thing but oxy came real close to ruining my life. and i guess it did in a lot of ways I've had probably 4 friends die because of it and cant count how many Ive lost because they still cant get off of it or have moved on to heroin because of price..also don't get to caught up in what people are saying on here about you or the drug. this is you tube and most of the people who leave mean messages have no life...good luck girl
