I won all mission's execpt the last one, my brothers amiga died while i was attacking the main target in the last mission.. I'm still suffering from that :)
How did you get the adlib working? I thought this game didn't have Adlib but just Roland. I can't find any way to get it working other than the standard beeper
Very nice, warm feelings from the late 80s and very early 90s. (Dos version)
The copy protection on this one was tough, had to use a special hardware controllercard designed by 'Central Point Software' together with their 'Copy II PC' duplication utility. (Didn't have access to a patch for F19 at that time)
The game ran from 5.25" disks with a lot of loading so a backup instead of wearing out the orignal discs was a good thing.
God. My dad bought a Packard Bell 486 SX 2 25 mghz (with over drive) and a 25 mb hard drive...he gave me one shot to get a game and I chose this....awesome still. Even though every mission was the same after a bit but it was great. Keyboard overlay and CD\f19
This is my second most played game besides TIE FIghter. I was the only one in my class who could land that thing on the carrier...seems they didn't know about the arrestor cables at the back..hehehe. Great fun, and not at all easy; never go with the "recommended" loadout!
Yeah, though..missed several times at that range? Luckiest MiG31 pilot alive!
I used a Canoups Twinpact to capture the video. I like it because unlike dosbox, you see the real thing- actual framerates, audio, and correct aspect ratios.
Thanks for posting this video of an all time classic. Nice to see it run with such fluidity on a 486. Back in the day I only had a lowly 286 which meant turning off a lot of details to get a decent frame rate.
For a game that looks like it was made with MS Paint it's actually pretty cool.

I also didnt like the fact that most of the missions are in the day...otherwise great game however when 2.0 came out...this was kind of obsolete

Spent hours playing this game. Don't remember it looking so basic. Was such a cool game back in the day.
