If you want Grand Theft Auto 4 to be on PlayStation 2, I bet you wouldn't mind compressed textures, virtually no physics, literally a 5 foot draw distance and running at 96 X 64. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it?

Let me sum it up for you good sir, because I like you. It means the textures would be choppy, crumpled, smaller and most likely in a small colour pallet. No physics, you should know what that means. A draw distance is how far you can see in the game (To game producers and nerds like myself, it's called the 'Fog'). A resolution is how everything is stretched pixel by pixel, computers usually run at 1280 X 1024, so I can just guess how shit that would look. Hope this helped you, goodbye.
