dont think of it as if he doesnt miss a note, there are no right or wrong notes, its only wrong if the player perceives it as wrong, but if the player believes every note is the correct note, the possibilities are endless. for example, alan holdsworth doesnt use scales, he simply plays what he feels

look..they can compare since they both play guitar...just look at the influences they have and give..and youll see that they are both accomplished musicians. jimi and tommy that is...but finger stlye grants more freedom to improvise..so i like it better..he incorporates many different little tricks and adds great dynamics with familiar and new melodies.

Like most of you, I am a huge TE fan. The Blue Moon w/ short intro was one of the 1st TE videos I saw, and I was 100% committed to him for life by the second verse.

Since then, I've tried to show TE to other good guitar players, but no real fans have arisen. So I've come to this conclusion; I'll NEVER try to "sell" TE to anyone. They have to stumble upon him themselves. So, let's just keep him our little secret for now.

My gosh, he is such a perfectionist! He dropped one chord at 2:53, and he immediately made a face like someone crapped in their britches... I wouldn't even have noticed had he not grimaced...
