• I LOVE THIS SONG REALLY MUCH!!! Nästan lika mkt som stinsen brinners musikaliska låter som till exempel längtaren och italienare

  • this is the best song on their new album, no protest allaowed! can´t understand why they have to play "the worrying kind " and " prayer for the weekend" on the radio, they are just annoying -.-

  • Can you do this to all the songs in the CD, "Prayer for the weekend"? I will listen to the song, but NOT "Live" like EVERYONE (exept(?) this) are :)

  • i love song its beautiful xxxxx <3

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • <333333

  • Well don´t think it´s quite right that with the ESC. I mean Finland didn´t give that many points to Sweden, (it´s a tradition not to,(even though the Ark is the best!)). But Maria had absolutely the best song in the competition. And I´m a die hard Ark fan I´m saying this.

  • I really love this song, it's the best from The Ark, at least I think so lol.

  • argh ESC isnt about the music any more is it? its about what country youre next to and which ones take ESC so seriously theyll make war on you if you dont vote for them...i have long maintained the belief that the only reason Turkey gave us ANY points a couple of years ago was because Javine did a bit of bellydancing. no offence intented to any country who participated/voted in ESC. just my views lol.

  • Oh calm down with the bitterness.

  • nah...my gran has a theory that former communist countries vote for each other....and my dad says its all political anyway....then again lordi won last year...i think the U.K is destined to have crap acts, im from norn iron too! clodagh rodgers was good!

  • more than love it..my neighbours hits the floor, when I listen this on the highest volume I have...

  • love this song..

  • ÄLSKA THE ARK ♥ ♥ ♥

  • I LOVE THE ARK! (:

  • How come this wasn't entered into the Eurovision songcontest? The Worrying Kind was an absolutely horrid song, but this is just ace. In fact, it's easily the best song on the new album.

  • Pfft. This would have never made it past MF. The Worrying Kind was made for a Swedish audience and was made for MF. Eurovision was a different story though.

  • I'm sorry, but what is this MF of which you speak?

  • Melodifestivalen...they'd have to win that before being allowed into Eurovision. :)And the Worrying Kind was perfect for that. People wonder why Sweden sends the same type of music every year. MF has lots of different types of music but the same kind always wins. It was a great choice by the Ark with tWK. ^_^

  • Except it wasn't cause they didn't really place notably. Now, being Danish, I know that I shouldn't be one to speak, seeing as how our contribution (the pink drag queen) didn't even make it to the finals. But honestly, The Worrying Kind was a rubbish song. The Ark can do so much better, and they came up with that tripe. Ukraine should have won.

  • It was the right choice because it's been the most popular song in MF's history. Not even Carola got as many votes. Every 1 person out of every 13 in Sweden voted for the Worrying Kind. It was an excellent choice by them. And Eurovision? Thou shall not mold yourself to fit other people's criteria of what makes a good song. It doesn't matter what Europe though in the end. They've created history in MF. ^___^

  • If you're not gonna enter to try and win, you may as well not enter at all. This goes quintuple for the Eurovision Song Contest.

  • They did. But winning in MF carries a lot of prestige and that was their first goal. Without winning MF you can't win Eurovision. Of course they aimed for that but I'm saying that winning MF is a huge thing already and just appearing in ESC has given them new fans around the world. No, they didn't win the title but they won in another way. :)

  • Winning in one's own country really isn't that big a deal. And appearing in the Eurovision nowadays is an embarrassment, more than it is prestige. I mean, come on, the lead singer had a shimmering chest plate! Are the winners of the MF really so highly regarded in Sweden? Whenever someone wins the danish equivalent, they're regarded as bad taste, mostly. The Ark can do better and shouldn't have to submit themselves to such humiliation.

  • Yes, they really are that highly regarded. They become icons in Swedish music history. MF entries from years back are still being played on the radio today, the winners especially so. I still hear the Worrying Kind on radio everyday. :)

  • And in some countries it's an embarassment, such as in the UK. But in Sweden it's still a prestige. And what's wrong with his outfit? It's glam-rock! People were proud to send the Ark and they've now been given the title (unofficialy) as the best band in Sweden. The humiliation was due to the low placing but they've gained many new fans around the world due to this competition. They've signed five new record deals in five different countries. It's going very well for them because of ESC.

  • In Denmark, that kind of think is regarded as kitsch. We never hear old winners cause frankly, the songs that Denmark put up for entry are horrible. Not as bad as the ones England put up for entry, but still, it's pretty awful. Sweden does have a rich history of popmusic (ABBA, Cardigans, The Ark, etc.) so maybe that's why your old MF-songs are still played.

  • Perhaps...in England (or Britain or whoever is entering) they usually see Eurovision as a joke. To enter ESC there is to say goodbye to your musical career in the UK basically. xD That's an exaggeration but it's pretty true.

  • In Sweden they are (overly) proud of Melodifestivalen. It's this huge event each year which most of the country watches. Who knows why it's so popular here. Other countries are amazed at this too since they want to know how to boost their watcher-numbers for ESC. It's a mystery. o_o But yes, not everyone would agree that the songs are good but Swedes like them at least. So they're popular here. :) And I wouldn't agree that Danish winners are bad. o_o I usually like the Danish entries. :D

  • Oh, and another interesting thing. You can see how big the idea of MF and ESC are here because of the radio. MF entries are played the most but there are even entries of other countries played here. Yesterday I was surprised to hear Turkey's winning entry of 2003 on the radio. O_O

  • You like the danish entries? I can't understand that. DramaQueen was awful, and the song that won for us in 2000 (Fly On The Wings Of Love) was appalling. Then we had the girl who finished last with "Listen to your heart" and so on, so forth. The best we've had is probably last years entry, the girl who sang "He didn't know how to twist". Other than that, Denmark also has lousy entries.

  • I loved Fly on the Wings of Love! O_O Drama Queen was ok. It was quite catchy. I liked your entry last year too. And of course I don't like all the entries, but generally speaking Denmark brings quite a high standard. :) Maybe you just dislike ESC music since Eurovision is often associated with a certain style of music. It's often very old-fashioned. ^_^

  • No kidding. I generally dislike it cause I associate it with boring and often corny music. It's become so gimmicky, and in Denmark the music that is entered is always going for the broadest demographic possible. You have to try to make everyone like it, meaning it has to be very accessible. Sweden's entries are rarely as boring, but then again, Sweden gave the world ABBA and The Cardigans. Denmark gave them Aqua.

  • Yeah, that's true. That's another reason why The Ark did badly. Glam-rock doesn't have many fans. :( Sweden has sent lots of corny music too and sometimes it works. xD But it's true that Swedish music is rarely boring but it's often similar. It does have influences from ABBA. But Europe seems to like it. O_O

  • Everytime we send something different we end up with a low score. xD So it'll probably be schlager again next year. The bouncy-bouncy music. xD And hey, I liked Aqua. xD As a kid. :P That's who Scooch this year reminds me of - but they're kid groups so you must give them a break. :P

  • Hmm, good point. Still, I prefer the Swedish entries - "Dikkeloo dikkelei, alle tittar på meg" or whatever, I have no idea how to spell it, but that song was great as well. Or was that a Norwegian entry?

  • that was a swedish one :D

  • It was corny and Eurovisiony, but in the good way. What other entries have Sweden had that were worth noticing?

  • Diggiloo diggiley. :D :D :D I love it. xD Hahaha

And noticable swedish entries? It depends. People always have different favourites. O_O I know nearly all of them. o.o xD

  • Knock yourself out. xD That's all the swedish entries ever. Sorry that it posted so strangely. o_O Ut seems to have seperated weirdly and it's taking up more space than it should...it makes it look like spam. :/ But anyway, yeah, I have too many favourites. :P

  • Wow, that's a lot. The danish ones are not worth remembering, really. But Sweden has a rich musical history, as stated before. You have great songwriters like Björn Afzelius og Cornelius Klaksvig as well. "Dansa samba med mig, ayayaya!" :D

  • o_o Who are they? xD I'm no expert in Swedish music history myself. I just became interested in it recently. My mum's Swedish and she was born here, but my dad's Australian and I lived abroad for 7 years. Swedish is my second language and I just recently moved back here. :) So I'm not great on the music history of neither Sweden nor Denmark so I can't make much of a judgement. But I know that there were many Danish entries I liked. :P

  • You should check out Björn Afzelius, definitely.

Which danish entries did you like? I thought they were all horrible, with the exception of the twist song.

  • 80, 81, 85, 86, 95, 99, 2000, 2001, 2002 (yes, I know you came last xD), 2005 :D No laughing please. I know many are old and corny but I love that type of music. It's one of the reasons I watch ESC. :P

  • Hmmm, the code didn't work. o_o But some are bolded...

  • Still, ESC really isn't my kinda thing. I'll take The Stone Roses any day instead ;)

  • Yeah, it's not for everyone. ^_^ ESC is usually never about the music but also about the performance and the..."unity" this competition creates in Europe. It's just fun. :D And I have no idea who the Stone Roses are but I'll check them out. ^_^

  • They started as a band in 1991. They got a huge hit in 2000 "It Takes a Fool to Remain Sane" you must have heard it back then, international hit! They have released 4 albums: "We Are The Ark, In Lust We Trust, State of the Ark and Prayer for the Weekend." The singer and frontfigure Ola Salo is one of swedens most brilliant songwriters the last years.

  • I think you replied to the wrong comment. xD I know who the Ark is...but I don't know who the Stone Roses are. xD

  • The Stone Roses are a band who started in the eighties. Their debut album "The Stone Roses" is probably the second best album ever (Frengers by Mew being the best, of course). Their second studio album "Second Coming" was decent, but I would recommend the first one, and the singles/b-sides collectin "Turns Into Stone".

  • "I am dangerous, `cause I´m ridiculous and it seems to me, that I´m a threat to the whole society `cause I ain´t got no dignity So if you want respect from me Well, have it for free, it´s worth nothing to me and in your eyes I see it´s something else you seek Its fear that you wanna see"

  • :D Ok, thanks a lot! :)

  • Thanks Sweden of giving The Ark to Us<33, we love you both//Finland

  • But if you vote for them in ESC you will hear them not only on youtube:)

  • Wow, I've just discovered the Ark a few days ago because of their participation to the ESC, and I've been listening to this song non-stop for two hours now O.O

I clearly put this one in my top ten of my favs songs ever! I'm quite disappointed they will not present this song to the ESC : this is the kind of song that contest needs (I'm not a big fan of "the worrying kind"...it sounds too much like a ESC for me XD).

  • <3 <3 <3

  • the Ark forever. Greetings from Poland

  • OMG! why has everyone gotten it all backwards? The Ark dont need the publicity, they alredy big enough in europe, they do this only beacuse its a fun thing to do and they gonna enjoy it all the way. It doesnt matter if they win or not. quit the whining about they being publicityhorny and look at the facts. The Worrying kind is a absolutely amazing song and if there is any justice in this world then they should win this whole ESC!

  • absolutely the best!

  • Jag alskar the Ark!!! "Absolutely No Decorum" ar sjukt bra!! Och visst ar Ola Salo en riktig lackerbit! Vi far halla tummarna for dom i ESC!

  • Some say this is a quite "un-Arkish" song, but I really like it. I can¨t really explain it... it's just great!

  • I am very happy they did not pick this one for ESC. It is far too good for that. I like "The Worrying Kind" too, but this one is ... just fantastic.

  • I guess you're right. Though, I don't get why good bands go to ESC with bad songs (Worrying kind isn't that good imo) Maybe they don't want their great songs to become 'that Eurovision song'

This would've won by a mile or at least been the best song...

  • No, I don't think so. Listen to how the competitors to "The Worrying Kind" sound like and you'll realize what kind of music taste they have to compete with o_O I suppose the publicity is far more important than the actual result in ESC, and The Ark are most likely to win in that aspect - even if they hit Bottom 10.

  • Or, to clarify this a bit: this is a clear strategy. They gain lots and lots of attention with "The Worrying Kind" (homophobics are already going ballistic, but they cannot ignore it, hehe) and then they have this one as an even stronger card to play with. Show me another artist in ESC that can do the same thing right now. I'd say this is a smart move.

  • They are fantastic. I LOOOVE THE ARK. Amazing song, and fantastic lyrics as ususal.

  • This is so...! I love this!

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH The ark owns completley

    Heja heja

  • Såå bra dem är!! Denna låten e mkt bra!! Det är The Worrying Kind också ;D

    The Ark <3

  • herregud!

  • Wow! This song rocks!!:)

  • kärlek till ola. konsert i april &hultsfred i sommar:)

  • "Oh Fuck, I'm so embarrased about our finalist(Finlands) in the Eurovision song contest"

Jep, me too! :S The Ark is so lovely<3

  • Älskar The Ark! Me encanta le The Ark! Je l´aime! Åland.

  • This song's good! =D

    Go The Ark! <3

  • I looove the Ark! Will see them in Oslo in April! I also recommend "Melody Club", a great glampop/ synth band! :)

  • GREAT SONG! the ark forever
