@5xthejoy that depends on how you look at it the f-22 is a stealth plane and the su-37 is a dog fight plane at some things the f-22 is betters but at others the su-37 is better. Over all the f-22 is hard to spot but the su-37 has much better maneuverability

They have a Chance in Dogfights, but not in BVR Combat, we would shot these down, before they comes close. The F-22 can track the Eurofighter in 150km Range. Then we would shot 2 AIM-120D & the Eurofighter is down. The Eurofighter can track the F-22 in 30-40km.

Hellenic Air-force does it yet again. They have just won all the combat exercise in the latest NATO military exercises held in Spain last week April, 2011.This is on top of the other big win which was RED FLAG 2008 where they destroyed US Air-force in a kill ratio of 18:3. The so called best air-force and its top-guns, was their first loss and never had it been so bad.Further more the best NATO Pilot for the third time was Charalambos Eskioglou. F-15 was made because of f-14, not because it was a copy of mig-25 ,but to defeat it. mig-25 is a copy of f-14 without retractable wings. McDonnell douglas(now boeing) just improved the f-14 with newer tech in its time.
here's the thing: in air-to-air combat, the f-15 has NOT ONCE been defeated. that would've pretty much ended the us vs. Russia debate before it even started.

Then after its introduction in 76' the F-15 became a best fighter than the MIG so Mikoyan introduced the Mig-29 which was cheeper and more praticle. But still the F-15 was more efficient!

I bought a model of these. 1:15 for about 70$, took me 3 months to pre-work, build and paint before she was complete, but she was awesome. Hands down one of the best looking fighters yet.
Whoever the pilot was flying this Eagle, was a really good Eagle driver. There was a maneuver he performed at 4:50 I haven't seen other Eagle drivers do on video here on YouTube. If the Eagle is a highly maneuverable fighter, why don't the Eagle drivers show what it can do at airshows?

@lone1mis, I left the active air force long ago, but I did work on these birds for a decade. I worked on A,B,C,D's. I got a ride once in clean B too.
The D's that we had were fully combat generated alongst the Cs. Aft of the fore cockpit was either the aft cockpit or 'bay 5.' In A's and C's, this bay might be the host of 'unspecified' equipment. So if the mission did not require 'unspecified' equipment, then a B or D could be used equally.
@AIM9XSW I want to be a pilot but people say that it takes years to practice on the computer and to actually fly but they said it takes at least 7 yrs of schooling but Im also thinking ground infantry for marines but still like to fly and when i went to fly for afjrotc those double engine cesnas the pilot told me I was really good and I've never piloted one before and eventually pointed me out to my teacher and i felt confident to be a AF fighter jet pilot
@bubu2172 The F-35 is a fantastic aircraft; however, it has no combat record, has not proven itself, and thus is not technically "better." It is currently in low rate initial production, and is still being tested. The F-15C achieved a 90-0 kill ratio in Desert Storm, and to date, no other fighter on the planet has ever achieved such a lofty position. It has simply spanked everything in the sky.

If you want a pilot slot in the USAF, do ROTC (at the college level) or join the Academy and get that private pilot license -- I'm speaking from experience when I say that you are almost guaranteed a pilot slot if you have this already (I have personally seen how their selection boards work). To all of those that are clamoring that the F-22 is better, well, it is and it isn't. Not only technology plays a part in whether a plane rules the sky - economics claims its role, too. Put simply, the 22 is stunningly expensive and will not supplant the 15 anytime soon. While the war-game record is not in the 15's favor - you should realize that nobody else has the 22. Further, if the 15 can get the job done, let it do so. Only when 15's drop will the investment be necessary to replace them.
@4855712 I must be inclined to agree, especially in the area of cost. Development of the F-22 came at a cost to taxpayers exceeding $50B, and each aircraft I think exceeds $150M (compare that to the F-15Cs at $35M). My brother flies this jet at Elmendorf AFB, AK. Yes, it's getting old; but it does have a lot of upgraded stuff, and it is flown by the best trained pilots in the world.

@popsimon6 the exercise you are referring to never actually happened, it was just a publicity stunt to try and sully the performance of the F-35. it is a guaranteed farce because the F-22 can not be detected by any airborne radar from beyond 25miles, which is well within range of the 6 AMRAAMs the F-22 can carry internally, meaning that it would only have taken the 187 F-22s to win against several hundreds of Su-35Ss, let alone 100 Su-27Ms. yet is states the F-22 lost??? highly unlikely.

but can they build a 5th gen. i'm not sold on this pipedream. i believe the f-15 upgraded. w/ F-100-PW-232 but seems engine must have matv vectoring w/ mod's to the body. Hellenic Air-force does it yet again. They have just won all the combat exercise in the latest NATO military exercises held in Spain last week April, 2011.This is on top of the other big win which was RED FLAG 2008 where they destroyed US Air-force in a kill ratio of 18:3. The so called best air-force and its top-guns, was their first loss and never had it been so bad.Further more the best NATO Pilot for the third time was Charalambos Eskioglou. Hellenic Airforce leaves the rest for dust!

F-15 was made because of f-14, not because it was a copy of mig-25 ,but to defeat it. mig-25 is a copy of f-14 without retractable wings. McDonnell douglas(now boeing) just improved the f-14 with newer tech in its time.

@Biogem369 You have it all wrong here! The F-15 is a response to the Mig-25. The Mig-25 first flight was in 1964 and the F-15 was in 1972. The introduction date of the Mig-25 Foxbat was in 1970... the F-15 didn't even had its first flight! Then after its introduction in 76' the F-15 became a best fighter than the MIG so Mikoyan introduced the Mig-29 which was cheeper and more praticle. But still the F-15 was more efficient!

@CaptNDaigne Correctly F15 was designed to deal with mig25, but F15 is similar to the fuselage mig25 by 70%, but the F15 system is installed high maneuvering. But mig25 was designed to destroy SR71, B52 and other aircraft at high altitude. In addition mig25 is able to work as a bomber at an altitude of 70 km in the mode, or dive-bombing pitching.

Whoever the pilot was flying this Eagle, was a really good Eagle driver. There was a maneuver he performed at 4:50 I haven't seen other Eagle drivers do on video here on YouTube. If the Eagle is a highly maneuverable fighter, why don't the Eagle drivers show what it can do at airshows?

I worked on this exact jet for years ! It is apart of the fleet of the 44th Fighter Squadron, stationed in Kadena AB in Okinawa Japan. The 44 FS is represented by the color blue and our mascot is the Vampire Bats !!!! go bats !!!!

@lone1mis, I left the active air force long ago, but I did work on these birds for a decade. I worked on A,B,C,D's. I got a ride once in clean B too.
The D's that we had were fully combat generated alongst the Cs. Aft of the fore cockpit was either the aft cockpit or 'bay 5.' In A's and C's, this bay might be the host of 'unspecified' equipment. So if the mission did not require 'unspecified' equipment, then a B or D could be used equally.

@AIM9XSW I want to be a pilot but people say that it takes years to practice on the computer and to actually fly but they said it takes at least 7 yrs of schooling but Im also thinking ground infantry for marines but still like to fly and when i went to fly for afjrotc those double engine cesnas the pilot told me I was really good and I've never piloted one before and eventually pointed me out to my teacher and i felt confident to be a AF fighter jet pilot

@bubu2172 The F-35 is a fantastic aircraft; however, it has no combat record, has not proven itself, and thus is not technically "better." It is currently in low rate initial production, and is still being tested. The F-15C achieved a 90-0 kill ratio in Desert Storm, and to date, no other fighter on the planet has ever achieved such a lofty position. It has simply spanked everything in the sky.

If you want a pilot slot in the USAF, do ROTC (at the college level) or join the Academy and get that private pilot license -- I'm speaking from experience when I say that you are almost guaranteed a pilot slot if you have this already (I have personally seen how their selection boards work). To all of those that are clamoring that the F-22 is better, well, it is and it isn't. Not only technology plays a part in whether a plane rules the sky - economics claims its role, too. Put simply, the 22 is stunningly expensive and will not supplant the 15 anytime soon. While the war-game record is not in the 15's favor - you should realize that nobody else has the 22. Further, if the 15 can get the job done, let it do so. Only when 15's drop will the investment be necessary to replace them.

@4855712 I must be inclined to agree, especially in the area of cost. Development of the F-22 came at a cost to taxpayers exceeding $50B, and each aircraft I think exceeds $150M (compare that to the F-15Cs at $35M). My brother flies this jet at Elmendorf AFB, AK. Yes, it's getting old; but it does have a lot of upgraded stuff, and it is flown by the best trained pilots in the world.

Yeah Vietnam is kind of a sore subject for USAF and most of America. I believe our air to air combat kill death ratio was 1:1 which is a disgrace to the USAF. But our F-15 A - E have an untouchable service and combat record that gladly makes up for it =] Wish I worked on the Eagles instead of the Warthogs but it's all good in my book. USAF HUAAAA!
