Two things I have to make clear: [1] those people at the back are not a choir, they are just mere back-ups. [2] Yes, lani is a soprano but she is not a CLASSICAL soprano. She is more of a POP soprano. If you are a part of a choir, you will know all these.
I love watching lani's performances. So very pure and very heart-felt. She keeps on getting better and better everyday.
damn it, why is it that every Nessun Dorma video I've watched, the choir is crap?! They always screw up the momentum of the aria. Even with Paul Potts who also did a beautiful version of that aria as well. urgh...they should audition their choir more carefully.

I just watched her other performances. I am surprised to discover that she used her voice (which is supposed to be of an operatic coloratura soprano) to sing pop and rock songs. It seems she is a master of every aspect of singing except two of them: using the chest voice and vocal control, which she sometimes lacks (insignificantly ^^). But I heard she never had formal training? So, what she shows is sheer talent, right? Should she be trained, she'd be a true goddess.
that's what I like about Lani.. She can sing opera and at the same time she can sing pop songs and she is really good at it. Not all operatic singers can sing pop.. Lani is one of the few who can sing pop and opera at the same time.. Lani is very versatile.. She is the best!
True. It's so relaxing to listen to Ms. Lani and to all other excellent singers out there who do not belt, i.e. Bel Canto singers. I have a friend who literally shouted the F word upon hearing Lani's vocal prowess. Simply Amazing.

Amazing. Though some of the syllables weren't clearly sang(because it's hard to pronounce Italian operatic songs), I certainly like this rendition better than Sarah Brightman's. Lani's dramatic voice is truly enchanting and superlatively excellent. Brightman and Pavarotti would be impressed.
She just stands there as comforable as she is, even fixing her hair while belting out one of the most difficult arias ever written. That's how FIERCE she is. I love you ate Lans. You're the best. =)

She is a very good singer.. grabe! everytime I see her perform I always want to give her a standing ovation. She is and will always be my favorite singer.. Love her much! Oh yah in the last part the people were screaming "MORE!" Everytime she has a concert here in Cebu the people would always scream MORE!!! at the end of the show!lol We just really love Lani! She rocks!
