  • im 16 years, i workout 5 days a week doing this: 5sets 5x wide pull ups, 5 sets 5x biceps pull ups, 5 sets 20x crunches, then 2sets 5x 65kg bench press (shoulder wide grip) , after that 3sets 5x 75kg bench press (shoulder wide grip) , and 5sets 5x shoulder wide push ups. I don't train legs! I do this program every 5days, am i overtraining?

  • do not take 1 week off every 3 months. 1 week of no training would reduce your strength vastly if you work out regularly happens to me all the time if I go overseas etc and cant workout

  • I work out for an hour doing intense training like 5 times a week and my muscles don't get sore or anything but at the gym they don't get rock solid and pumped even when i'm increasing the weight until I can't physically lift it anymore, I haven't gained any significant strength in about 3 months.

  • Monday-Friday I usually do 50 decline push-ups then 2 sets of 25, go jog for 30 Minutes, then when I get home do a Ab or Ab Burner workout, or I do 10 Push-ups/burpee's and do 10 lunges for each leg I rest Saturday and Sunday.... I had a sleeping problem before working out and I don't eat after 6:00 P.M. Monday -Friday but I do eat breakfast, lunch , and dinner I take a whey protein drink after doing all this then eat dinner is that good or bad ?

  • hi, i rested 2days and i feel very strong today like i can lift a 100kg but just the feeling not that i can and the gym was closed today so i have to take another day off which is 3day ): is resting 3days too much to lose str and muscle mass? becasue i feel that i need to get pumped today so badly which my body tells me to but i can't due to gym closed.

  • So between this and your video on cortisol I'm suspecting my rest has gone to shit. Noticed a couple weeks ago that I can't sleep through the night anymore. I think I'm getting into a negative feedback loop that's affecting my gains.

  • You should only do 100-150 reps a dat and get 7-8 hours of sleep,and DRINK ALOT OF WATER TO BE HYDRATED,after you wake up you will feel tieed and dehydrated,if your piss is yellow that means you are dehydrated

  • People i swear this guys are right. I been doing 30 to 40 set per workout very intensely. I thought i the more i will workout, the better the result will be. But now i actually got smaller. I sure taking a week off to recover my body all the way.

    I just want to be certain I'm not overtraining. Also, I drink a Whey Protein Isolate Shake before and after each workout. This stuff works. It actually helps build lean muscle, and I believe it helps with the recovery process.

  • I work out really hard compared to you guys. Not dissing you but i train every day 6 days a week for an hour to an hour and half. I have had great results with this in strength size and burning fat. I havent had any side effects either. I think that works for you guys since you are in your 30's. Im 15 so it may not always be like this. You guys have good advice but every body is different. Just wanted to share that.

    I'm watching for fitness too. I take in all this advice. I weighed 148 at 5'3. I weigh 127 lbs now so I'm trying to build a little muscle and get toned.

  • I agree with most of what you guys say and I like most of your videos but over-training is a myth. Your body will adapt to any amount of training eventually and then when you hit a plateau increase intensity or volume. Most olympic lifters train twice a day 6-7 times a week and they are tested. Soreness is a consequence of lifting heavy. It doesn't make sense to take time off before your body adapts to the training. Sounds like your bodies have adapted so instead of rest change up the workout

  • your info is correct always take a week off once in a while, but what your talking about is not over training i forget the actual name tho. over training u will get very depressed and start losing weight and make 0 gains and probally go down in weight and reps in the gym. i wasn't eating enough and was training 5 days a week and going as hard out as I could magazine style and thats what would happen to me.

I was recently out of them for about a week and felt extremely fatigued, head aches and what not. Got back on them and was back to normal. Also a good fish oil, Nordic Naturals has done wonders for my joints I deadlift heavy squat heavy bench press heavy and always recover
