@RainJetSprinklers For this time I had gators on the left and middle with a hi-lift on the right side. Now I just use gators on all 3 it fits more in the hopper by chopping them up more.
pretty good. The question I have is do you wait until the trees are almost bare before you clean up ? Or do you have to do it a few times ? I know commercially you go along when you are asked but I'm talking efficiency.
@cullyvan I go on average 3 times each property. If I wait till the end then there are too many leaves and snow may come early, plus the leaves start to kill the grass if you leave them there too long.
@catbiturfac3 I've had good luck mulching with Exmarks on a 2 week interval schedule till they are done. Saves the time spent unloading the hopper and dumping leaves. The vac is awesome but I like mulching them as they fall. The leaf fall in the video is pretty light, actually.

Also a quick pass to mulch them up when heavy probably would help with volume during cleanup of heavier accumulations.
@tdurden664 Prices mostly based on time spent. The same yard can have lots of leaves one year and very few he next just depends on the wind. I keep a log and when the season ends at the end of November I add up the hours and send a bill.
@lawnmaster26 If you can blow or dump the leaves near the woods or bushes and keep running over them with the mower until they are chopped up into little pieces then blow them into the woods or into the thick bushes. I get rid of lots of leaves by chopping them up.
@lawnmaster26 If you can't figure that out then you must not be in the maintenance business. Here are just a few reasons: 1) easier to dump on site than haul away 2) cheaper for me and customer 3) less for the landfills 4) time that would have been spent hauling out leaves can be spent on another cleanup 5) did I mention it is easier for me? 6) I work alone and don't have or want a leaf loader - already went that route once and it was a pita
@lawnmaster26 The dumped leaves will make excellent compost. The property owner should encase a fence around the dumped leaves to contain them so they won't end up back on the grass. Lime should get spread on each successive layer along with a little dirt. When decomposed, this "black gold" will make the vegetables grow wonderfully and without the harmful chemicals.
I don't mulch with a fully enclosed mulch deck. I will grind \ mulch leaves without the bagger on and then vacuum the shredded leaves. That way I can take a small yard full of leaves away in one trip in the bagger. This yard I dump on site so I just suck them up whole.
so i turn this video on to see how this thing works, and i forget it's on and now im coming back to it and im realizing right now that im watching a guy vacuum leaves in his yard. my life is so epic. lol.

Aren't the leafs good for the soil in the winter? isn't it wrong to sweep them away, just because "it looks better"
