Love Stanley Kubrick and i am huge fan, but Apocalypse Now is better then Full Metal Jacket. Coppola´s psychological inpact on the movie is unique and makes it the best war or Vietnam movie ever made. Brando,Sheen,Duvall,Hopper,Fis­hburne.

@TPBXDRicky420 lol Actually i LOVE film, I just felt this film while it had a good message it went the boring route to get it across. I did like the way the films story was laid out in a 'Alice through the looking glass' type of way. Introducing interesting characters that provide the story with symbolism. Unfortunately like 'Raging Bull' it seemed to be famous for the struggles behind the camera rather than in front of it.

@chubbylilloser85 The cinematography alone makes this film a work of art. Everything else is just icing on the cake. I could go on listing things that make this film great but there is not enough "characters" to do so :)

It looks like the only things you watch are babies laughing. I'm surprised you didn't say the credits were the best part.

IMO the whole movie is t he best part. Learn to watch movies outside the box.. It helps to smoke pot :)

Im sure there are alot of films of mine you would hate. I was just explaining why i felt it was a pretty poor film to me. and Having the number 420 in your name and saying you smoke pot which makes your argument invalid tbh.. :)

@7newarkdrivepollok Yes I definitely agree. Notice how during the mango scene it is very Blue. I think was filmed with a Blue camera filter. Gives the scene a great moody feeling. Also notice the extensive use of the colour Orange during the scene right before they attack the VC village from the air. So much more stuff like that in this film. Francis Ford Coppola= Genius. Chubbylilloser85 should grow up and smoke some weed. Iv watched a movie, then watched it a day later stoned. Way better.

@chubbylilloser85 Smoking pot shouldn't make an argument invalid. Plenty of famous people who are smart smoke weed. Obviously you know nothing about marijuana and movies , let alone film. If you know a good film when you see one then you should know that this one is one of them. Look past the development and production of the film, ect. Note the use of colour and symbolism,ect. The only message I think you got from this film is that the song by The Doors makes a good end sequence.
