  • This is stupid

  • All religion were man-made. Though, I refuse to worship the Big Bang, nor accept primates as distant relatives. The underlying theme to, (if not all religion), is that men killed God. In the physical world that we live in, Science (modern age God), has replaced the old. Our modern day God has given us all power to be like sons/suns=stars (i.e. constellation/astrology). How ironic.

  • @MrHouth Science religion ? ask Tom Cruise . Science let us understand how thing work and let us take advantage on those understandings. Cars, GPS, airplanes, computers, and MRI.

  • What if the signs in the sun & stars are just witness to what actually was to & did occur, & all these religions are divided without realizing they believe in the same one and just refer to him by different names?

  • If religion is fake then why Lady Gaga worshiping Horus?

  • @achillesPoint TO MAKE A MOCKERY OF EGYPTIAN AFRICAN CULTURE

  • @achillesPoint Lady Gaga is original.

  • @barataaustralia original wannabe Madonna?

  • Here's a brutally honest question for religious ppl (of any religion).... How do u reconcile the fact that if u grew up in another geographic location or culture, your religion would be a different one? Honestly, what Christian could say that had they grown up in Syria, they wouldn't be a muslim? How many muslims could say if they grew up among a white x-ian american family, they wouldn't be x-ian? How many PC Darwinist stereotypical atheists follow this just b/c it sounds better than x-ianity?

  • ok guys. religion is religion. no one knows what religion is real because they are all just an opinion. Even if this was fake don't trash on it because its a point of view. just like every other religion. Also if religion was all 1 religion or no religion at all then we would have no war like we have a comment war going on so relax and believe what you want.

  • Your theory is just that a hypothetical theory , its not true, the birth of Jesus was fortold, long ago, and the sequence, of events that led up to that moment can not just be explained away, as you have done here so methodically, the idea you have put forth is to discredt, the birth of Christ, and in place, give Credence to Mythology, and heresy, a tragedy to say the least. You claim to know the Bible, but I choose differ, your knowledge, is minimum, and narrow, you should examin Your Belief's

  • Look up the historian Josephus ,he is an historian who lived in the times of early Christianity and talks about Jesus and his ministry and his death on the cross. He was certainly NOT christian, but a historian of that time.In fact he was a devout jew who didnt belive that Jesus was the messiah,my point here is to show you that Jesus was born and that he was put on the cross by the romans and jews to die.

  • You also get the symbol of the 8 being eternity because of the sun and the earths wobble. Saw the fugue 8 on an old globe at its equator an then it DAWNed on me.

  • Bull's Eye

  • Jesus was born in the spring, the bible never say's there were 3 wise men,it says there were wise men ,not how many,Mary is a catholic myth and is not in christianity,if you want to know the truth just do some research and you will find the truth, please don't just believe what people say, this guy is blasphemig God name.I really hope HE finds the truth,He is leading people to the pit,and the bible says, woe to him who leads even one to the pit,he is leading any who are uneducated about truth.

  • You do realize that ,all these religeons copy God's plan ,and Jesus is in the old testament ,which is 5000 bc and the oldest book ,btw the bible say's there were wise men ,not how many, and it also say's Jesus was born in and then died for our sins ,no where near december ,i hope you come to the real truth, and soon, because our King Jesus is coming soon!I could totally destroy this theory of yours but i have better things to do then that,God bless!

  • @TheKith88 Could you totally destroy this theory? Really? I challenge you to try.

Excellent video, btw. As a suggestion, you should mention that Christianity had all of its holidays (if it actually had any on it's own) altered to match the Roman calender. Also that nearly everything that is taken as "christian" in modern times is basically a Roman belief - i.e. all of this sun god stuff.

  • @LlamaTheory My bad, I should've watched the other videos before I mentioned anything. Good stuff.

  • @LlamaTheory You are mixing True Christianity with catholosism,2 totally different faiths altogether, also astrology was corrupted by the first world rule and religion which was in fact babylonia and not egypt.I just don't have the Horus was not born in december ,not born of a virgin not ressurected, had 4 disciples and was not named the lamb of God and was not crusified ect, that just horus, now look up the rest he bring's up ,don't know why he would lie, probably MOST people wouldnt cehck.

  • @TheKith88 From what I've been able to find, the Horus stuff in this video is actually true... I know, hard to believe. It's not in encyclopedia entries, so don't bother looking there. But in any case, I've done some research on early 'true' christianity. You are correct, Catholicism is a major distortion of the original faiths. Yes, that is plural, because there were already 3-4 major branches of Chrisitanity before the Council of Nicea. Look up 'Gnostics' for example. Fascinating stuff.

  • @TheKith88 My point is: even 100 years after after the supposed life and death of Christ, there were already major divisions in the beliefs in Christianity as a whole, so that really does lend credence to what the video says about the whole thing being fiction. My other major point is that ALL modern Christianity is based on the catholic bible, so no matter what version you practice these days it is just a different flavor of Catholicism. Please tell me if I've missed anything, I want to know

  • @LlamaTheory Christianity and its bible are not the same ,the catholic's have more books and they have something called the book of catholicism ,which teach false doctrines and is books about rules that past priests and past popes have written.Christians have been persecuted almost as bad as the jews were over history,We teach 2 totally different faiths. There are historians that had no beliefs at all who wrote about Jesus and the miracles he did ,that he DID die horribly on the Cross.

  • @TheKith88 Shoot i forgot to reply to you ,read the other post pls ,it was directed to you ,its about josephus, before we continue this conversation and if your going to mock me and laugh and call me names then there is no point in the conversation,I don't blame people for saying things that are rude or name calling because i know that it is not really them speaking these words but forces that have corrupted there minds and speach. But if your serious, send a tell back and we can talk,GOD BLESS!

  • @TheKith88 I don't remember calling you names, I'm trying to correct your knowledge of history. I've studied this stuff for years, so I have damn good understanding of the who's and when's of the early church structures. If you think the devil taught me history, you're insane. Oh, I called you a name there, my bad.

  • @TheKith88 Actually, there is just one historian, and the credibility of the account is shaky at best (I do believe it's been completely discredited, but I'm not sure). And, there is no book of Catholicism. There is a Catholic Bible, which is nearly identical in content to the King James Bible. The major differences are the supposed divinity of Mary and some other strictly Catholic beliefs that got removed during the reformation. I know, I was raised Catholic (yes, you can pity me for that)

  • The Bible refers to the originla MAN or Son(Sun) Of Man As God! So what sum see As religion others see as science! Ex. Sodom and Ghommora Really existed!

So did solomans temple. But a Mystery unseen God is fictional. So the right minded among us discern Lie from truth. Peace

  • mindninja'd

  • Wow.

  • Supposition at best!

  • BULL CRAP

  • While I'll admit that this video is not 100% fact, isn't it more than likely that most of what it says is based on some truth? Of course not. Only YOUR deity is the true one and all others all false...

  • @AresCassell Dude I would say its only about 25% correct at most, don't try and defend deceit or support lies.

  • @Domodeath Of course not. Only YOUR deity is the true one and all others all false...

  • @AresCassell Of course not? Can you clearify that statement please, also I challenge you to prove any other deities exist.

  • @Domodeath No, I totally agree with you. The thousands of deities other cultures believe in are imaginary but yours is real...

  • @Domodeath The thing that AresCassell is trying to say is that for any person, only the deity that they personally worship is the right one, all the others are mythological. In other words, it is self-interest at it's finest, the 'I'm right, you're wrong' statement, the 'My horse is bigger than your horse' kind of thing, or, in the words of George Carlin, "My god has a bigger dick than your god!"

  • @MrFridaythe17th Sigh... Look, Truth is Truth, you can call it narrow minded all you want but eventually you'll see the One Truth and the many lies, and I pray and hope that you do some research before you die.

  • who cares its all bs , thats the bottom line

  • @BowMasoku2010 Yeh, he mad. And skeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerd (like little girl).

  • This video, which is part of the Zeitgeist documentary, is mostly Wrong on the info it shows AND IS MADE IN A PERSUASIVE MANNER just to make you believe every little word.. C'mon, 5 or 6 gods on a list and comparing them like a Car's top speed, milage... This is pure BrainWashing..

  • @Watchthephotosmove SO, let's apply your logic: let's say someone made a For-Profit (which religion is) ripoff (which religion does) of Bugs Bunny. So, by your logic, not also do you need to be shown how he has CORE PERSONALITY FEATURES like Bugs Bunny, but also Peter Rabbit, Peter Cottontail, Oswald the Rabbit (Mickey Mouse's older 'brother'), the cast of Watership Down, Pooh's Rabbit, and any other cartoon lapines... THEN, you'd start to say "Ok, MAYYYYBE it's ripping off *just* Bugs Bunny."

  • @Watchthephotosmove You're right. Time and time again these Zeitgeist videos have been proven wrong with an abundance of facts that directly contradict what it says. I wouldn't listen to any of its claims.

  • @mmmmmmarcus! More like MMMmmmmmMORON. what percent of your brain did you use to become the genius that you are? In the holy book it speaks about your type of people as well,Wandering souls, Geniuses are souls Possesed by the smart devils called Jinnis. I am sure you look up to Einestein and Tesla as your Role models. even maybe Alister Crowley,( Bush's Granny ) . I hope you will search deeper before making a staement as such.

  • @1ITOPIA Or like how in Dianetics and other Scientologist holy books, it speaks of psychologists as evil minions of Xenu-- because they coudn't POSSIBLY be the kind of people who's JOB it is to see the BULLSHIT in a faulty and laughable self-absorbed, egotistical, evil, self-serving, religious belief system!

    Impossible!

  • This is bullshit! Actully look up the stories for these mythical gods and you'll find out that zietgiest was lying!

  • @HyperNessie proof now

  • why bother going through all the work of setting up a supposed documentary based on complete fabrication.

check out wikipedia.... horus wasn't crucified... he wasn't born of a virgin... actually he was closer to a child of frankenstein cause his mom- isis -rebuilt his dad who was ripped to pieces and she had to make a new phallus out of gold cause his was eaten by a catfish.... it's actually interesting but in no way similar

  • @tabra7777 lol wikipedia

  • I shat brix...

  • None of these are facts

  • this guy is lying horus was not crucified, i think he needs to re read the story.

  • @selftrainedjedi

Horus was crucified in heaven according to Egyptian mythology. You should read the story again.

  • Parthenogenesis-- Impossible in mammals. If god actually made Mary preggo, her baby would actually come out as a human. Miracles=/=Magic. Your a fucking retard if you actually believe a fucking god in the sky made Mary pregnant. Goddamn creatards are stupid. Don't bother debating them. Just talk about them and ignore their replies, since that's all they do with everyone else!

  • If morality is again purely instinctual then any instinct is justified including the serial killer's. After all, isn't he quelling the herd of the sick and slow?

So the most moral government according to the standards of evolution is Nazi germany in which the strong are bred, the weak destroyed, peace maintained and survival insured.

Call it the worlds most star social experiment.

  • Almost all of the information on here was falsified. If you do some research on Jesus' relation to other Dieties. He doesn't really bare any relation to Horus. And Horus didnt battle Set every day. As far as Egyptologists know. They had one major battle in the book of the dead. I'm against religion in every form,. but you can't just make up stuff to sway people. If you do that, your no better than any other religion. Changing information to suite your cause.

  • Think about it, religion is bred by the people on top and seemingly like their gods only helped people when it suited them. The Romans are a prime example of this power they and their religion held over the world. People worshipped their gods in the hopes that this pleased there masters and they were very afriad people. The British Empire had a similar foothold on the world, and forced christianity on whoever was beneath them. Like their god they murdered people who did not agree with them.

  • @megaed99

Christianity was written by Jewish laborers under Roman occupation. Um...on top?

Also Christianity successful earned its writers no power but actually had them living lives of poverty until they were executed by their own people.

    So...what was your logic again?

Also, think about scientists being 'on top' now and all the fear and respect they receive...

  • @bloodrunsclear

The point of my argument was just that we don't need a religion to be authotarian right-wing facists - we had communism for that. I repsect that it can give people some good morals to follow, but its sadly overshadowed by all the evil that humanity brought to the table, this is also including some of its followers. I don't think it matters where these religions come from, just what they have become. Christianity was popularized by romans, thats what I meant sorry.

  • @megaed99

No argument. Christianity, like environmentalism and politics in general, has been corrupted by many to further a violent agenda. Look at the man who held the Discovery Channel HQ at gun point so that the message of Global Warming would be spread. Anything taken to extremes can be used for evil.

But I find that doesn't diminish what they were to begin with. Do you believe environmentalism is a crock because its followers are coo-coo?

Neither do I, so why Christianity?

  • @bloodrunsclear

There good people, alot of christians are, so are many muslims, so are many jews, tribals, sikhs, they are ALL good people, but the people on top twist them and start things and it ruins the whole establishment. On the sruface what do people see? Jews killing weaker foes, muslim extremeism, tribal warfare and execution and the tyrranical heirachy of the western christian world. It does humanity an injustice to have these people on top. This also counts for politics too.

  • @megaed99

    Again, no argument.

But should we abolish politics because it leads to wars?

How about freedom? The pursuit of freedom has caused more wars then anything else.

    Maybe freedom is the problem.

  • @bloodrunsclear

I just think that maybe we gotta be more careful when it comes to who we want on top. Of course its impossible to stop all war, take away all freedom, there will be war, give it all away and someone gets jelly and starts a war. Maybe they got a reason for doing what they doing, but the fact there willing to veil there transgressions under such drivel is what makes the people on top untrustworthy, to me at least. We need GOOD politics, GOOD leaders, fight the GOOD fight! :D

  • @megaed99

Take away all freedom how could there be war?

'We need GOOD politics, GOOD leaders, fight the GOOD fight!'

Um...you don know every dictator in history has said the same thing, right?

  • @bloodrunsclear

Take away all freedom? Like that hasn't been the start of a billion trillion wars :D

Every dictator probably has said that, but I am an internet nerd, so it means something else :D

Besides, my good fight involves rocking the establishment, killing all the evil ones and all that bollocks. :)

  • @megaed99

Sure, but after all freedom is gone, no more wars. Russia proved that. Germany proved that, at least internally.

So maybe its worth a war to secure peace after dispelling the lie of freedom being good.

So your good fight involves wars for peace.

Again, what's the difference between you and the million or so killers before you?

I'm glad you don't have any followers XD

  • @bloodrunsclear

Yeah! Have a big war to end all wars, because that works so well everywhere!

But people have gotta fight for there right to party, and I would totally do that. :)

But do you really think that a dictatoral rule is the best kind? Just wanna know.

  • @megaed99

A big war is exactly what you're proposing! 'rocking the establishment, killing all the evil ones'

What do you think that means?

I don't think dictatorial rule is good, but then again I'm a Christian.

    Why don't you?

  • @bloodrunsclear

Well I didn't say itd be right did I? It doesn't even need to be a war, could just be a internal conflict or a change of power. Na I am not a big fan of dictators, a lot of them get greedy, or nutty.

  • @megaed99

Most animals have dictators, Alpha males and the like.

Why should humans be any different?

  • @bloodrunsclear

I dont mind the idea of a dictator, just that I would prefer a fair and kind leader. But unfortunately that doesn't happen to much :(

  • @megaed99

And how would you know that the dictator was truly fair or kind? Wouldn't he have to get 'rough' with people who weren't with the program?

  • @bloodrunsclear

Well I guess what I mean is that as long as he doesn't do something retarded such as kill lots of Jews like Hitler, or kill off his populace to prove a point like Stalin, I don't like mindless killing. Along with genrally knowing what hes doing, frocing his law as much as needed, and not being a butthurt bumnugget. Thats what I look for in a leader :)

  • do we have a proof god is existance?

  • @ripper269

The Bible is a strong argument, and that's provably historical.

  • @bloodrunsclear i believe the power of god. god creates the universe and everything in it. i don't really care about what people say about god. because i believe god is behind me and helping me in any situation i've been through. he show me the power of will which is people like will never understand. i hope god will lead you to the right way

  • @ripper269

    That's a courageous declaration :)

I'm glad to hear that you keep the faith. You're not alone.

  • Religious people study their whole lives too. The Bible isn't an end, its a beginning, its a revelation of a historical event that was outside of even modern understanding and helps guide human lives.

Science however is declaring that something works when it does, and when it doesn't work the declaration is 'we'll understand later how it works'. You might accept that as sound reasoning except as an atheist you cannot possible concede anything to god, limiting your understanding.

  • Tell me this, what are you against? Religion is likely against that too.

You're against love of money? So is religion. War? So is religion. Rape? So is religion. Selfishness? So is religion. Ignorance? So is religion. Theft? So is religion.

You want peace? So does religion. You want unity? So does religion.

If you're not fond of hope then I guess you're in trouble there because religion is all about hope.

  • @bloodrunsclear Im not sure this one was directed to me but ill answer. People would act better in many cases had religion not been introduced to there country. And in some cases people act better due to having a faith based religion.

You seem to wonder why religion has a long list of human natural instincts outlining good actions vs bad, this is because :drumroll: it was written by humans. If cats somehow wrote the bible it would be dogs = evil and a pond full of tasty fish would be heaven.

  • @noahalmighty77

    Define 'act better'

Act better according to morality that doesn't even exist without religion? Why love our neighbors if according to evolution they're just cobbled together cells we compete with for food?

    Do you ever explain anything?

Ah, so in your opinion because humans wrote religion (and history and science for that matter) then religion is inconsequential. If thats true what non-human standard of morality have you found that allows you to say anything is right or wrong?

  • @bloodrunsclear Well this may not count as evidence so do your own google search of "statistics of religion and higher crime rates" I tried to put a link and it wouldnt take it but its true that more religious countries have higher crime rate so if "religion was great & if put in a country would make it better" idea is out the window. I dont think any amount of evidence will sway your mind when it comes to this topic so if you need religion to calm your mind about the world then so be it.

  • @noahalmighty77

Of course there's a higher crime rate of religious people because it usually exists in countries of free thinking. In China there's no crime and no religion but no freedom either.

So maybe freedom is the problem.

I need religion to make sense of the world but apparently you don't even try to make sense of it.

  • @noahalmighty77

I'm still waiting for an answer to my question on your page.

Unless you erased it because you don't like questioning your own beliefs.

    Not very scientific.

  • Consider. Evolution is amoral if not encouraging of evil; survival of the fittest, everything done to live, no moral impetus on any action but to survive and breed.

Societal concerns also are not necessarily an argument for morality. Sometimes a dictatorship can lead to peace, so one moral sin produces a moral good?

Personal morality based on perspective or whim is self defeating; that means a person believing child murder is just actually is as morally justified as someone who doesn't think so

  • Ruh-Roh.

  • Its still amazing how god-bots watch this , yet refuse to pull there heads out of the sand.

  • @noahalmighty77

Its amazing how many atheists watch this and believe its confirmation of their beliefs despite nasty little things like logic.

  • @bloodrunsclear Bravo! just another fine example on what I'm talking about.....and its the claim makers that have the proving to do and not the other way around. Until you have proof of something its just a fairy tale....but hold it thats just that crazy logic again......

  • @noahalmighty77

Ah so you're statement 'The is no God' is not actually a statement? You usually have to prove statements.

And scientists accept Global Warming, Quantum Mechanics, and The Big Bang as scientific fact with no more or less proof then religion.

From you use of the word 'fairy tale' I'll assume you have a little less then impartial view of this and I'll take your statements as I would any other biased person's.

  • @bloodrunsclear

    >And scientists accept Global Warming, Quantum Mechanics, and The Big Bang as scientific fact with no more or less proof then religion.

    Wow. Just wow.

  • @bloodrunsclear Hmm it sounds like your trying to say magical fairy tales are based on logic. So this conservation is permanently closed as theres a gross exaggeration of what logic means.

  • @noahalmighty77

Magic fairy tales are based on logic, but religion is based on history.

What does logic means? Whatever hand picked scientists say is true? No. Its reasoning through rationality.

Do you want to explain to me how logically Christianity could be fabricated? Ever thought about it?

No. Its enough for you to call it 'fairy tales' (a gross exaggeration) and then ignore the issue.

    Not very scientific.

  • @bloodrunsclear I got a great laugh at the "magic fairy tales are based on logic" , this may be the core to flawed , impressionable thinking. I have to clear up 1 thing, Im not saying there cannot be a god, there is no book on the subject that makes any good reason to indicate that. Your obviously trying to defend the infant murdering, slave sanctioning jewish tribal god that tells fathers to have there raped daughters marry there rapist. I dont even know why you try to defend this type of god.

  • Comment removed

  • @noahalmighty77

I don't have blind faith in anything. I believe because of what I've experienced and what I know. Are you telling me that its impossible for Odin, Zeus, and God to not be one and the same?

When did Jesus make false prophesies or lie? Explain please.

You are comparing morality from a book you don't believe to events in that same book. If you're tackling this from an atheist point of view you have to justify secular morality.

    Can you do so?

If not your pillars are crumbling.

  • @noahalmighty77

So you deny that fairy tales have any basis in logic? Consider a fairy tale: Thor God of Thunder. Its entirely based on logic; thunder sounds like a hammer striking stone, but it would have to be a big hammer. Logic.

Impressionable thinking is to call anything you cannot imagine a fairy tale and stop thinking about it.

If you are not saying there cannot be any God, then why are you an 'atheist'?

Also, explain to me in secular terms why you are morally upset.

  • @bloodrunsclear Ok Jack in the beanstalk is a fairy tale that is easily dismissed as illogical and inaccurate. Religion is a very bad, it makes people tend to feel false hope, it creates a path for people to do very dastardly deeds with a perfectly clear conscience. Millions have been murdered in the name of religion. Theres just not enough room on this page to list in great detail on all the negatives of religion. I will tell you however not everyone that has religious ideas are bad.

  • @noahalmighty77

Jack and the Bean Stalk was admitted to be a fable about courage, ironically giving hope that courage will win over adversity.

So you're not fond of hope? Don't you try to encourage hope in others? You do. You hold people to a standard of morality by calling things good and bad. If people were incapable of good you wouldn't say good or bad. You're guilty of what you accuse.

Also millions have been murdered in the name of evolution, progress.

    Negative ideas abound in science.

  • i forgot how angry christfags are :)

  • OH MY GOD

    mind = blown

  • @iwantsomecookies08

Wow, it didn't take much did it?

I mean, this is obvious stuff and even Christians will admit it.

The real mind blower is you find its significant.

  • So let me understand this.

A bunch of uneducated Jewish fishermen made up a religious figure and indeed an complete religion which completely calibrates with astrology and other religions?

How the the hell did they do that? They couldn't have heard of the other religions. They can't have known about astrology.

So actually Jesus' life and death corresponding with other religions and astrology seems a bit miraculous now, doesn't it?

  • The syncretic nature of Christian symbolism is obvious, but to refute the existence of Jesus requires the refuting of secular jewish, roman, and talmudic accounts of the man. Even with astrotheological syncretism, the words and message of Christ remain a valid system of ethics and serve as an ideal archetype to emulate. Say what you will of the church as an institution, but damning criticism can be made of any social structure, especially the various institutional atheisms of the 20th century.

  • Hey, GzusFreak1, why are you so concerned about the evidence for the existence of your Christ? You're a Christian...you're supposed to have faith, a strong belief in something without evidence. Searching for evidence only weakens your faith. Why would you care so much about the evidence of Christ's resurrection when you are supposed to just accept it as fact? Could it be that you have doubts?...something tells me you won't be moving any mountains anytime soon (Matthew 17:20).

  • Biggest lie ever told.

  • SKrY209.tk

  • so thats where it all started. finally i know

  • didnt the bible say, thou shalt not steal? i lol'd

  • If you want to understand religion, you must look at what it does/represents in the world.

God is a representation of the power heirarchy seen in societies. Humans are

extremely groupy which is the survival tool that is most special to us. Even our

intelligence and language is for human interaction which is why we anthropomorphize

the world. A sin is a behavior that leaders deem to be inconsistent with group

cohesiveness. A heresy is something that undermines a religious authority..

  • This pretty much makes using Religion as an excuse to commit atrocities(The Crusades, Burning Joan De Arc at the steak, the Salem witch hunts, 9/11) obsolete

  • awesome video, very informative!

  • I have always wanted the answers to these questions on religion. Being catholic, I've never seen or heard anything clearer than this. Shame it's taken most of my life to see it put up this accessible. The information has always been around but ask me how much study and involvement one has to have to put things together. Christianity may have its roots based on the idea of good vs. evil, which I feel is intended to help guide mankind, but it certainly has taken some very wrong turns throughout

  • @rdius

Why does this video prove anything to you?

Historically the Bible was either written long after people who provably (art, writing) professed themselves to be Christians which would mean there were Christians before anybody told them how to be.

Or the religion was invented perfectly by uneducated Jewish fishermen.

Both ways don't work, but who needs sense? You have an answer you agree with.

  • I love how all the yahweh fanboys are trying to differientiate horus and jesus. Just face it man Christianity is a knock off of Egyptian culture

  • We have to remember people who lived in the biblical times, depended on watching the night sky for their very lives. The movement of the stars also gave them signs of the seasons, and told them when to plant and harvest crops. Also in that region everyone used the stars to navigate in the open deserts. So Jesus, Moses and etc all studied the stars and constellations. So it is no surprise that there would he astrological influences in the bible.

  • That is if Jesus was really born on DEC 25th. But the astrological evidence you give is rather compelling.

  • religion is frowned on in the bible. jesus questioned God on the cross. and the only thing you have proven is there is only one true God. and i as a christian thats all i need to know. thank you Jesus for showing me the way to the one true light. now everyone else my do it there own way.

  • I'm blinded by science! This is far better than any and / or all of my favorite sporting teams wining their championships!

  • omg amateurs make videos , go to the Wikipedia and put in the search bar Horus.

he have a father and a mother (The most commonly encountered family relationship describes Horus as the son of Isis and Osiris) same with the rest of the proofs that can only trick people who can't read . Google the stuff he said 90% of it are wrong or from his imagination . Thx God for the internet

  • @shesha5

    Taken from Wikipedia:

Horus was born to the goddess Isis after she retrieved all the dismembered body parts of her murdered husband Osiris, except his penis which was thrown into the Nile and eaten by a catfish, and used her magic powers to resurrect Osiris and fashion a gold phallus to conceive her son. In another version of the story, Isis was impregnated by divine fire.

  • horus doesn't equal jesus....do your own research

  • I am by no means a christian, but the obvious statement to make is the facts about Horus are identical to Jesus. I have heard this many times before, for example Bill Maher's Religiulous. I have read over many different sources of ancient Egyptian gods and goddesses and I am unable to find any mention of Horus being crucified. Isis has never been mentioned as a virgin in any of my sources. The common answer is she impregnated herself either on the corpse of Osiris or used his dismember phallus.

  • Now we have to convince the North Koreans that their dictators are not gods.

  • In the name of Satan, ruler of Earth, the King of the world, the Chief of the Serfs, I command the forces of darkness to bestow their infernal power upon us. Save us, Lord Satan, from the treacherous and the violent. Oh Satan, Spirit of the Earth, God of Liberty, open wide the gates of Hell and come forth from the abyss by these names: Satan! Ba'al Zəbûb! Leviathan! Asmodeus! Abaddon!

  • Cool Video man!

  • Apparently everything he says is bullshit, everything he says about previous religions is... When he was trying to compare it to other religions its complete bullshit, THERE ARE NO FACTS HERE just random statements...

  • Mythologizing Jesus' divinity arose from more pragmatic reasons than this video suggests. Some of his mythology may be borrowed from common mythologies, which themselves originated in cosmic observations. Any myth "borrowing" was done to enhance the crediblity of Jesus' divinity to people familiar these popular mythologies.

  • it makes more sense than christianity

  • @coxin8tor69 this isnt the real origin of religion...its just trieng to prove jesus was not real but doesnt show you were religion really came from...the romans created religion.

  • @poxflaza So misinformed

  • @ObliviousBurrito turn off your computer and quit watching videos made bt bored mad at the world teenagers and read a book.

  • @poxflaza Who? Me?

  • Dude you might want to check your sources on this one. Half of the info in this vid are completely false. for example, Krishna was his mother's eighth son, she was certainly not a virgin. Anup the baptizer is bogus and doesn't exist. I don't blame you. this false info has caught on like wildfire. Horus wasn't born of a virgin. Osiris was resurrected just long enough to impregnate isis.

  • @sunset261 your info on horus is wrong. osirius was not resurrected. isis used his dismembered phallus to impregnate herself.

  • @Zendishwasher1 Kind of. Osiris's actual penis was thrown into the nile and Isis resurrected Osiris to fashion a golden phallus. and she used it to impregnate herself with Horus.

  • @sunset261 well check the sources yourself. Isis didnt have sex to get knocked up. Basically she was a virgin. Rest of your statements is also false.

  • @mendrik I have sources. Where does any good source say that horus resurrected osiris? Or The Anup the baptizer was real? Isis was considered an eternal virigin no matter what she did.

  • @sunset261 My source is the book eunuch's and castrati, a cultural history by Piotr o Scholz. Almost everywhere reliable place i've found says that Horus was the son of both Isis AND Osiris, not, just isis. I admit that the golden phallus thing may be debatable but anup the baptizer is definitely not. The oxford encyclopedia of ancient egpyt never mentions an "anup" even once.

  • @sunset261 And whole thing wite osiris having his penis thrown into the nile is from the Oxford History of Ancient Egypt, so yeah, it's not false.

  • Or maybe they are just copying eachother because they can make a lot of money and gain a lot of power, which is very much more likely.

  • Story in the old testament all people spoke the same language and had the same experiences. Until the Tower of Babel when their language was confused and they scattered around the earth. Each culture recorded history once they learned to write before that it was oral folklore stories. So 1 of 2 options occurred 1. The elite spread very same message to control peoples behavior around the world. 2. The stories are true and are interpreted differently because of cultural differences.

  • @mikejp2008

By the way, Mike, your very inlogical. According to the Christians, Jesus was hung by Romans in 0 BCE , and therefore I have disproved your inferior logic

  • @Boss5414 Not to say that you are stupid but did you watch the video? It tells you where it started and who copied all I'm saying is there may be some truth as to why billions of people believe. Jesus was crucified not hung get it right.

  • Look @ the facts religion has just been copied over and over. Every culture has their own version of essentially the same story. Look @ the first source for the truth. Do you believe that Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, or any of ancient civilizations would foresee the internet where people can compare all religion. I think with in a few years people will begin to realize there is only 1 god and just multiple cultures.

  • How does one blindly worship a being that has shown no proof of it's existence, then threatens eternal punishment for an earthly and temporary transgression, such as actually questioning the being's existence? Faith alone? Trusting another man's word?

  • Religion is the corruption of one spirituality. Whiteman created religion or religions. Black people burn with spirituality. There is a different between religion and spirituality. Gods or God is more of a eurocentric version of their ownself. Black people neva had religion, they had spirituality which is a way of life. We need to get this notion that religion started with us. White man corrupted black man spirituality and turn it into a man made nonsense religions. Selam

  • Religion originated with Sun worship?

More like shamanism, animism and animal worship.

  • I cant wait till the AGE of Aquarius! I like the 6os song "this is the age of" fill in the blank.

I'm sick of FISH SMELL! lol..Jesus will go away and the its the water boys turn to RULE!!

    "Pagan" and "Heathen" redirect here.

  • why do you assume that something is true because it was written down. Especially after 2000 years. Have you ever played the telephone game. You get about 20 people and you tell one person a statement and they pass it down. By the time you get to the last person it is totally different. You are also only 14. Hopefully when you get out of you own culture for a while you will open your mind.

  • Ra, it is said, is an aging god, still powerful, but too old to deal with his children any longer, so he has gone exclusively to the sky to watch over the world. Horus rules over the earth and the gods in his stead, demonstrating the divine right of kingship. Horus wears the Pharaohs hat but looks just like Ra.. FYI..

  • Ra is God with the Sun over his head 2:15. Ra, was the almost universally-worshipped king of the gods and all-father of creation. A sun god, he was said to command the chariot that rode across the sky during the day. A king, he was the patron of the pharaoh. Ra is the most central god of the Egyptian pantheon.

He is the only god, apart from Osiris, who is definitely said to be not on the earth.

  • Sure, and talking snakes and donkeys are real too right. What about living in a whale for 3 days, walking on water, a world flood. The dead rising. Funny we don't see any more of these "miracles" since science can explain them now.

  • Yes those are miracles and they do happen still today all over the world, but there are so many doubters in this day and many of them aren't even talked about.

I can tell you of them if you'd like.

Many miracles have even been recorded.

Science can explain some, but there are many miracles that cannot be explained.

There are many many people who can witness limbs growing back. Type Todd Bentley. This man through the power of God preformed miracles on God T.V.

    "...seek and you will find..."

  • Ok, the day I see an amputee grow a limb back I think I will convert on the spot. until then I will just keep thinking logically.

  • Well then maybe you should go to some revivals. Well it is possible although there are few who have the faith to pray for it.

Sorry I was thinking of something else. It's not exactly limbs growing back but Reinhard Bonki (I don't know how to spell his name) Has witnessed many things like that. If you really want to see some amazing works of God, go to one of his revivals or whatever that he has.

I wouldn't say believing in an idea is very logical though. Evolution barely has any evidence.

  • Evolution has mountains of evidence. You obviously know nothing about it. I don't even see why religious types dispute it. Many christian faiths have accepted it as part of creation. Including the catholic church.

  • Majority vote doesn't change mine. I see many people have accepted it just because it's popular.

Show me evidence. I'll give you all the evidence I know of my God if you want although it may take a while to read. I think it's a funny idea, maybe sounds good for someone who just thought about it, but to put my faith in it and say this IS how the whole world and everything living came about, no way. I'd have to be out of my mind.

I have learned a whole lot about it. It just seems like impossible

  • if there was evidence there would be no need for faith. there is clearly no evidence...also if this being planned on sending people to hell because they dont believe maybe he shouldnt have created them in a way that they would expect more evidence then he has presented them with. he KNEW that certain people would need more evidence than others. i cant just believe the bible or i would also just believe all the other so called holy books. if he wants people to believe he should make it more clear

  • There is evidence and there is faith. He has made it clear, as it says, "Seek and you will find". You can get evidence, there is evidence, but you can't just wait for it to pop out of the book. Certain people do need more evidence so like Tomas, he gives it to them, but they must ask, and they must be surrendered to him unless he decides that they don't need to be at the time and he will revel himself even so.

I must believe he existed, but I know that there is also evidence for him.
