    Sift some flour

Sift some flour and bake a cake

All that we need is some sugar and spice

Put it in the oven and it will turn out nice" Dun-Duh!

    Bwahahahahaha.

  • 01:00 JUMP JUMP JUMP!!!!!!! JUMP JUMP JUMP!!!!!!

  • This is is for no one

  • What shit

  • youtube.com/watch?v=nM4Wy7JN3LI check out my cover!

  • Comment removed

  • i love his voice be it live or studio. the song is just SO AWESOME

  • The great song, perfect video!

  • Don't prog metal vocalists feel kind of obsolete on stage at times, when they don't play an instrument in the band as well?

  • @ZGoten Probably.

  • @ZGoten not really especially in the case of dream theater because it adds so much more to an already amazing song

  • mancaaap...!!! great improved by Jordan Rudess...

  • quee buen videoo

  • so cool...great song, great band.

  • DT is the best band on earth

  • first note of song rings: instant audience orgasm

  • who is that justin bber or rebeca black .. i dont know who are those nameless pieces of trash.. but i know god's real name its PETRUCCI!!!!

  • @sheenzengumi FFS stop mentioning failed abortions in videos about real music!!!

  • @AnnVillim < you said it brother ;)

  • omg !!!why doesn't he jump into the crowd !?

  • 30 people listen to Rebecca Black

  • It's funny after hearing it live, the cutoff ending feels right as opposed to the live one.

  • 5:28 MIke Portnoy throws his drumstick into the air :D

  • muito lokoooooo

  • @leebo470 Another day has to be among cheesiest and most dissapointing tracks I have ever listened to. Pull Me Under is hard, heavy, melodic, angry, passionate, etc. Another day sounds like an 80s hair metal band gone south.

  • @muzaklover78 If it's not hard, heavy, and angry, that doesn't mean it's cheesy. I'd understand you if you said "I walk besides you" was cheesy, but not "Another Day". If you're the kind of person that only listens DT for songs like Panic attack and Dark Eternal night, then I think you're better off listening to Dragonforce.

  • @freetrader0000 Actually I only even know of DT because Pull Me Under was played constantly on the radio when I was in high school (yes, most of us did not yet have CD and mp3 players). I was revisiting old music and was hoping to find other similar tracks. I have not yet heard any of the others you mentioned. Truth be told, DT is outside the realm of my music rotation. Most musicians/bands I enjoy listening to regularly are either dead or no longer performing together.

  • @muzaklover78 DT probably has a lot of material that you'd like. Most of their albums have at least one song suited for a mainstream audience.

  • @muzaklover78 I know this post is old, but you may like their new song On The Backs of Angels. It's very similar to Pull Me Under in many ways.

  • @Fezek0 LOVE the music on that track but the vocals seem very strained to me. Perhaps it takes some getting used to. Pull me Under seems like it must have been written by someone else, its so unlike anything else from DT. I'm sure to get flamed by adolescent pimply-faced DT maniacs so bring it on.

  • @muzaklover78 "I'm sure to get flamed by adolescent pimply-faced DT maniacs so bring it on" What? I'm a big fan of DT but I agree completely with you. The vocals on Otboa are really weak compared to Pull me Under, but I feel that, overall the song is a worthy successor of their biggest hit ever. I just thought you would enjoy their new "version" of this classic.

  • @leebo470 Another day has to be among cheesiest and most dissapointing tracks I have ever listened to.

  • J Myung! Marry me! D:

  • I like this song a lot, can anyone recommend similar DT tracks I might like?

  • @muzaklover78 Constant Motion, As I Am, The Count of Tuscany, Octavarium, Panic Attack...just to name a few. check those out.

  • Its weird listening to this song without the cut off ending...

  • coooool!

  • James LaBrie is my favourite vocalist after Bruce Dickinson. In this song the vocals are especially good especially the entry... lost in the sky....

  • @9dinesh4 good answer with the vocalist lol, i would of had to murder you if it were the other way

  • @MyMytalMajesty

I know he was born in Chicago, but he has korean blood!! Im not trying to say that he is born in Korea, if i did, sorry for the misunderstanding lol

  • @MyMytalMajesty

He is Korean, dude. Im im not wrong, he stated in his biography that he is from Seoul, Incheon or some city in Korea.

  • John Myung's hometown lol...

  • Lead singer looks like Meat Loaf, seventies version

  • if i count all the people head banging i would explode

  • Few years ago I saw them do the first part of IRON MAIDEN... Pure enjoyement for the ears!!!!!!!!

  • Someone request to harmonix to put this in rock band 3 and with the pro guitar upgrade.

  • BOSPOP 2011

  • their singer looks like someone that would be in lynyrd skynyrd

  • @RandyRhoadsIsAwesome YOU CAN LOOK LIKE LYNYRD SKYNYRD

  • his voice reminds me of Dave Mustaine but with much greater control, no offense to dave mustaine, i like his voice too

  • High Voltage Festival here i come!! :D

  • @naits95 Me too, I'm forming a group from Poland :D

  • I love this song!

They opened for Maiden last year in Calgary and it was freaking epic. They put on one hell of a show.

  • Labrie must be given credit from 1994-2002 his vocals cords had been severely damaged and still on all the albums during that time live and studio he still managed to sing brilliantly

  • so sick at 04:56 when MP goes into triplets

  • 1:22

  • His voice is like Geddy Lee's, either you love it or hate it, but they suit each other bands perfectly

  • @mgirardi1 You're right, he does sound a lot like Geddy Lee! I personally think both Geddy and the singer here (cant remember his name lol) have great voices

  • @mgirardi1 so like marmite then? ;)

  • @mgirardi1 That is so true i love rush and dream theater anybody else think they should tour together??? :)

  • @RushLedZeppelin That would be great!

  • @nahuelgrox i cant wait to see DT im going Oct. 4 this is my first time seeing them im pumped lol

  • @mgirardi1 everyone loves geddy lee's voice ...

  • @waltermcbobom everybody with a brain u mean...

  • @mgirardi1 Soooo true.

  • @mgirardi1 2 prog legends

  • how can people say rock is shit just listen to the instruments if you blank out the vocals (not that ive got anything against him good guy) it is actually some fucking great music been written

    long live rock/metal

  • hi everyone, i have made a tribute to this great band playing Pull me under keyboard solos. feel free to visit my profile. best regards from Portugal!

  • whoa! was that John Myung running @ 2:58?!?!?!

  • @0689tk yea =)...must be epic live

  • The keyboards seem a little too loud in some parts for me

  • what dvd is this from?

  • alright the bass is kickass and the drums and how the hiutar sounds so fuckin epic

  • @fallen4dead guitar im bad at typing

  • You guys are trashing Avenged Sevenfold and at the same time are talking about how bands don't progress. You go and listen to every Avenged sevenfold album from the beginning and tell me there is no progression there. They get better every album and more is still to come. Obviously Mike Portnoy realizes that because he didnt have to join A7X.

  • @jeremyMarshall716 A7X are a good band. Yes.

    HOWEVER:

Mike didn't 'join' them. He was a studio and touring musician only, that was the whole point. And he was the Rev's favorite drummer, that's why he said he would do it.

  • James LaBrie (is that how you spell it?) has the strangest voice... not bad just strange... LOVE U DT!!

  • @theAsh2197 Thats why he is so awsome. Strange different powerfull unique

  • avenged Sevenfold sucks, let's get that straight.

  • @BloodHarvest21 I'm not too partial to them myself, though they suck is still an opinion. so no reason to trash the music of another, the purpose of music is to be enjoyed and perhaps enhance ones life, if avenged sevenfold does it for them, then that's right.

  • @Darkflare221 Yea your right, maybe some people like suckish music because it makes them feel better,,, TRAGDOR!!!!!!!

  • @BloodHarvest21 ahh come now, trogdor was a dragon man don't diss Trogdor lol, but really it's an opinion. you know perspective taking, people don't see the world the same way you do, as such the music that sucks to you doesn't necisarilly suck to them. you know?

  • @Darkflare221 Yea I get what your saying, but I still have no respect or fondness to Avenged Sevenfold

  • @BloodHarvest21 well, fair enough I suppose.

  • 30 people have upside-down screens

  • The 30 People Can Go Suck A Dick...DREAM THEATER IS THE VERY FUCKING BEST!

  • @filth69ify1 30 people disliked this video, but I respect their opinion. Also, their opinion is wrong.

  • @BloodHarvest21 haha! yea.

  • I loved mike in DT but now i love him even more in A7X who are my most favourite band

  • @iDRuMZzZzZ i thought he was just doing the studio stuff for a7x

  • Heyyyyyyyy from crowd but what did Jame says?

  • damn, this crowd is fuckin' lame !

  • Its so SAD!! Mike left the band!! :(

  • @iDRuMZzZzZ

I know, it hurts to even type about it...and to play with other projects like Avenged Sevenfold....ugh.

  • @adventrooster I dont think its fair to say that, A7X are actually a pretty good band.

  • @pou5691

My statement is completely biased, as I see DT as a legendary band that I've grown with. Pure favoritism. I have listened to A7X, even the recordings with Portnoy. I just feel like M. Shadows (vocalist?) is the thorn in their side. But to each his own.

  • Shut up

  • terrible terrible singing

  • @oddysseuss Eh, its not bad. Imagine if Bruce from Maiden sang for Dream Theater, that would be absolutley amazing!

  • @oddysseuss it's ok, we all tend to badly sing loudly when such amazing songs are heard.

  • the singer sounds a hell of alot diffrent in the studio difrent, a hell of alot diffrent

  • @baskastheinsane This song was made in the early 90's and this live version was recorded in 2006, so yeah he sound obviously different

  • สุดยอดฟังกี่ครั้งกี่รอบไม่เคยเบื่อ

    ร้อคบ้าอะไรละเอียดอ่อนขนาดนี้

  • Asian crowds love to do the "hey! hey! hey!" thing. | D

  • i wish i was there i saw them in Calgary and they weren't that good but hey it was a maiden concert

  • @AnnVillim 딱보면 녹음이 잘못된거지 병신아 음질이 좆같아서

    니 좆같은 귓구녁에 베이스음이 안들리나부다.

  • @SungJin :O ???

  • DT plays alternative metal nowdays.

  • @uzickismrad Nope, still prog metal.

  • 06:36-06:44 I want my future crowds to sing like that!!

  • korea has got the fucking best crowd in this world! =D

  • why at 01:50 goes faster than before??(or is it my fault?)

  • my favourited song of 'em

  • amazing musicians. they really rock onstage. someone does better live than in studio. they do IMHO.

  • 6:44 Love that YEEEEEAH xDD

  • awesome

  • How is this band not as popular as bands like iron maiden? These guys are amazing

  • @AcatNamedSteve

it's really sad but i think the reason is that dream theater are classed as "prog"

and iron maiden is classed as "rock"

and when people hear prog the think "oh no a band with more keyboards than members"

  • to see them live someday, would be one of my dreams coming true!!

  • 4 Poppy Y this is your Request

  • 4 Poppy Y, this is your request

  • i saw these guys last night in montreal

  • @Unistachio i was there too! it was fucking great! i was in the fucking lawn, but fuck it, it was a great show (both bands). cheers!

  • @Unistachio

did mike portnoy play for them?

  • @linktrivium I'm pretty sure he was there, yeah

  • @linktrivium yes

  • @Unistachio thats intense that they're opening for iron maiden.

  • This is by far awesome!!!!!1

  • classic

  • singing in the rain!

  • i love this song!

  • 1:01 that "here we go~~~" was so tasty.

  • Labrie has still got it :)

  • if u guys like dream theater check out neal morse thats the band sometimes mike portnoy plays with them theyre kinda like dream theater

  • The Myoung

  • JL at his best!!!! Gave me the chills when the crowd sang the chorus perfectly too!!!!

  • hero give i love dream theater

  • excellent le choeur

  • anyone know who the back up drummer will be to sub for Mike since hes with A7X for now?

  • @5SG9 The Iron Maiden thing ends July 20 and the A7X thing starts July 25. There can be no Dream Theater without Portnoy.

  • @5SG9 dream theater is going on tour with out mike

  • @lambofgod10000: Wrong. You really think that Dream Theater would tour without Mike? Who would they get that can fill his shoes for a tour? Not happening.

  • oh my..supporting iron maiden in north america..we want this tour in greece!I can't stand having to watch lauren before the irons!!it's a torture!

    Long live Dream Theater!

  • Dream Theatre is F'n awesome

  • YES

  • Still can't believe I opened for these guys solo.acoustic at Mcguffy's House of draft in Dayton Oh. in 1992!! They've come a long way since then obviously!

  • cant believe they're touring with iron maden this summer. Oh i just jizzed agian

  • @bongrippar july 15th im seeing them

  • @VerdiKtagrad im gma c em if i c em wit maiden

  • What differences this group from many others, is that they have the essence of what music really is. As you listen to their music, you're progressing with it, until you reach a higher level.

That's something that I think most of the music today, has forgotten.

  • @MiikeCS

    Dude, you're spot on.

Nobody knows how to write songs anymore; it's all a "OK, the label wants us to release a new album, let's write it." AKA, the write your album in a short period of time. The way to go is to write your songs over time, so as you grow and develop, so does your style and music, creating hugely entertaining progression in the music. Bands like Dream Theatre, Coheed And Cambria, Tool, they get this. And so, they are awesome.

  • @FatalEden I'd be careful saying "nobody" absolutes are just risky as there are bands that certainly right good music even today and do spend the time to make a good album. when you say nobody you get rid of that. so most don't know.

  • @FatalEden i love coheed :D

  • @FatalEden obviously you've never heard Ke$ha or just beiber. Both of their music is super deep and meaningful.

  • @strongsock Justin Beiber is a fag! hopefully he dies in a fire!

  • Mcguffy's Dayton Ohio 1992 I opened for these guys. Still one of the greatest thrills of my life!

  • Damn I need to hear this live!

  • As a Korean-American, I must say, God bless these Korean DT fans...they are the ones not brainwashed by horrible, factory manufactured K-POP music.

  • @Plissken07 K and J rock is mindless. Sorta like noise rock. haha.

  • Great song :D

  • Are they...sitting down?

  • @StrikerTheLizard yeah, they usually never let anyone stand in Korea, they have riot police on stand-by just incase. They allowed it once, and then 10 minutes later they had everyone seated because they didn't want to lose control. Japan used to be/still kinda is ruled like that.

  • Thanks to all that have corrected my major blunder concerning JOHN Petrucci! If I have offended anyone by my blunder, please accept my mea culpa. Again, let me state for the record, that at time I committed my blunder, I was on some heavy duty painkillers for my back and the schmuck that was running his/her mouth about the band really got to me. I was kinda childish myself in my post. Although the sentiment expressed by me still stands, I could have worded it in a more adult fashion.

  • I think, although he recovered his range from the food poisoning, i think it changed his voice too much maybe, unless his voice is simply maturing, I don't know, I just find it was more amazing before, now it's pretty metal, his tone is just odd to me somewhat now, he's still amazing, just he doesn't sound like he did on Images and Words :/

  • @XanaduMyHome You just captured the essence of life.
