Nice. Are those S&B step ups tucked back there? I thought I was the only audiophile on reddit. I'm spinning Marianne Faithfull right this second on a gyro SE with an SME 309 and transfiguration LOMC. I wish the audiophile didn't have to endure as much ridicule as that site as we do.

@timbuns wow, so cool - another reddit audiophile !!! I have gone back-and-forth with SUTs. First, I had a separate MC phono stage - the Herron Audio VTPH-MC1Plus which was a great unit. But, I did since then get a Shindo Monbrison which has a fabulous MM and MC phon stage. The MC was made for the Ortofon, and I don't have an Ortofon... I am running out of text here to post more.. I built my own SUT now - Sowter based with Zobel network. I sold my Herron, now it's cartridge->SUT->Shindo.

@timbuns I have a Marianne Faithful LP myself - will spin it tonight.. I am using a Sowter 9990 1:20 step up transformers (pair of them) - google Sowter 9990. I used a Bent Audio Silver SUT for a while (borrowed froma friend), and it was great - I read up everything I could about the Bent Audio, and I searched for a transformer with similar or identical electrical properties - Sowter 9990 comes the closest. Right now, it gives me about 90% of what the Bent does.. $300 for my own SUT.

The important thing you forgot to metnion that everyone should elevate their cables off the floor and use ONLY speacial "elevators" preferably made of exotic material like WOOD.

Actually, the only reason I have those elevators is to astonish the non-audio folks.. They actually really do nothing, but it gives me much entertainment when I explain them to civilians (non-audiophile folks). Usually I get a comment like - "Helena (my wife) should really have a professional talk to Alex...."...

Elevators - $1/each on a sale, Head games with civilians - PRICELESS..

The comments are to a redditor (google reddit ) who asked why I have only one turntable - I guess he expected some kind of a DJ thing. Room is just fine. If I wanted to be cocky I would have posted a review of my room (google "stereopal Aleksander" select first link, then search on page for Aleksander from Toronto). Room is fine - see all the stuff on the wall? I have no slap-echo or boominess. What kind of a system do you have?
