Very cool, my fellow aviation nerd. Thanks for putting the time into this. I've watched a lot of aviation video, and this is one of the most unique. The soundtrack is awesome too, actually got me into Massive Attack!
I'm from Spain, and if I stay close to an airport spotting for more than an hour, police will arrive and question me. I'm not surprised that the coast guard showed up, I AM SURPRISED THEY TOOK SO LONG to show up, in a country so paranoic with plane terrorism like the USA
When the planes takeoff, it seems very fake xD. But I know it's real and time elapsed and all, but it's just kinda looks likte it:P. Nice video man, enjoyed it
Its like theres a Vacuum System at the end of the runway and they're getting sucked into it.... Apart from 1 small 1 that got thrown into the reject pile on the right hand side halfway through... :-)
I have been "asked" so many times to leave parks and locations because I was a security concern. I do what you do. I tape aircraft. Great footage friend. Love it. What kind of rig did you use to record it?
@PConvictions Fortunately i've never been asked to leave a location when filming. Check out my main channel for cam's used and such. I used a Panasonic TM15 on this video.
That was totally AWESOME! Thanks for that excellent vid. Makes me want to cough a few times; some of the planes put up quite a bit of smoke, like an ol' DC9 would. This vid gives me an idea of what to expect at KBOS. I'm definitely hooked now. Could you tell me,what runway is that? And what location are you here, where the cops seem a little skiddish? Would they freak out if I were to use a lil' handheld point n shoot (Nikon Coolpix L120)? Love your vids, can't wait to see more!
Well done. I found it quite interesting how they kept getting the light guys out in between, seemingly with next to no wake turbulence separation. I know the elapsed time feature can mislead on this but I saw several take offs of "lights" while the smoke was still in the air from the preceding heavier craft. In any case, you have great patience!
Amazing! You should try and do one of planes landing.... If you were at the end of the runway then it would look crazy as the super fast planes come into land then slow down just as they get to you!
This is really beautiful. Looking at the amount of planes flying out you start to see how the whole airport fits together into a kind of assembly line formua. It also reminds me of bats or bees lining up to leave a nest.
Actually I think the length you shot (70 minutes) is enough time for this video. Plain awesome the first time I saw it. If you pack too many planes into the vid, it might become a bit boring. If I would suggest anything is to try to time a reshoot when heavies are using the runway for departures.
@BostonAirborne WHY the heck did you mark my post as a spam?? It's not an ad!! I'm asking which company is that, the one 747 passing right after United? at 1:00?
The little plane at 1:34 takes off REALLY close behind that jet! The jet hasn't even lifted off the runway when he throttles up and takes off. Check out his crazy flight path too, he banks it hard right, every other plane flew straight out =)
Much respect. I agree with the comment that a night-time video would be great also. Dang, I wish someone could do this for all my favorite airports, like PHX and ATL. I've used Sony Vegas also - good choice.
Nice work here. I work in building with a view of Logan, and during the day, I observe chemtrail spray planes climbing sometimes very near Logan, and I suggest, perhaps, photographing these, and posting here on YOUTUBE.
These planes are out most days, and are ubiquitous in Boston, and surrounding areas.
I was approached by police while videotaping commuter rail back in 2002. I told them I was on public property (a public parkway) and was filming for hobby purposes. I asked them if they really wanted to pursue harassing me for something that was perfectly legal prior to 9/11 and they reluctantly backed off.
FORTUNATLEY, it's very difficult for law enforcement to build cases against legitimate rail fans and aircraft enthusiasts.
@sisk22 Google is easier, but on 911 Newark Intl & Boston Logan were involved (both ICTS). The shoe bomber originated in Paris (ICTS), the underwear bomber originated in Schiphol Amsterdam (ICTS) and was allowed on board w/no passport!.
It gets worse, most of the land line and cell billing contracts are done by VERINT TECH. & AMDOCS, both Israeli firms who can (and do) tap almost any US phone, like cops, FBI, judges, their wives, you & me.
@sisk22 It is very interesting, but the most interesting aspect of it all is that our TV news is SILENT about all of it.
Let's say an Iranian, Russian, French or even a Canadian company took care of security for the 911 airports, do you believe that we wouldn't be hearing about their malfeasance every day for it?
Why do Israeli's get a pass from scrutiny?
The phone billing is the worst though, they tap ANYONE they wish and you can bet they blackmale them as well.

Boston Logan still uses ICTS security (an Israeli frim) taking care of security-even after their blunder on 9/11.
Gee, I wonder why the US media is still silent about which security firm let the hijackers onboard?
