  • I think you just make a new type of valve probably not used in steam engines, but I'm no expert.

  • Fantastic engine!

  • This is quite horrid music, as it sounds like the noise from an old fashioned steam hammer. But in this video, it seems quite appropriate.

  • I LOVE IT wile i do have the ability to cast i have found it easer 4 me to find parts theat were manufactured and then modify them for my own needs cheeck this out BTW how much press did u put in to make it run?? =3-

  • Awesome. What medium did you use for the mold for the casting process. I have used oil and cement because it can be used over and over.

  • @johnsaintwillie Green sand - just clay, sand, and a little water.

  • i thought i was doing pretty good building 2 boats, but that is way cool....

  • @marksalot2116 Thanks, it was fun to build.

  • Enjoyed your video. Built a rotary valve engine from john-tom.com plan site. "Scraps and Solder Become an Engine. I enlarged mine double sized and used home cast flywheel and base.

  • Nice work man. I'm interested in buying this off you. How much?

    Thanks

  • Very nice engine. Good build.

  • Who are you ...mr. Creative?

  • y para que sirve esto??

  • I love the simplicity of your design! There are so few parts I almost can't believe it. But at this scale I guess there really isn't a need for as many parts as the real thing. I bet it would look stunning if you used multiple engines configured in a radial pattern! That would look awesome!!!

What was it that drove you to build this thing in the first place? But, GREAT WORK for whatever reason that drove you to do it!!!

  • @DrGoodwrench64 Thanks for the comment. Simple is always better. I wanted try out a different valve actuating method. and practice my metal casting skills. Mostly I did it just to have fun! I like to figure out how to build things instead of just buying a kit.

  • a simple yet remarkable invention the steam engine is.

parts don't come in cheap, especially cause medal is not so abundant anymore.

i want to build one to power a house using multiple irrigation systems to provide filthy water to be cleaned by steam leading to the engine then to collect the used steam to contain as a drinking source. but i also plan to add a reserve for the amount needed maximum to power the engine at all times using a flooding container so in case of any shortage of rain water

  • i'll buy it for 100

  • There is more time and effort in making one of these than you might think. The cost of a lathe and mill is not is not inexpensive, also.

  • Want to build one to sell? Very interested.

  • Thanks for asking, but I'm much to lazy and would have to find another 2.5 weight disk!

  • @becoming29 I am currently working on a model size one that is double acting. It will have a 2" drive piston it will kind of be a big one for a model... If you are interested still in buying please let me know and I'll post some vids and send you some pix or something... Kewl, hope you're still interested.....

  • @PimpXXXGuitarist E-mail me some pics at showell29@msn.com

  • Excellent! Great vid dude

  • Very nice!!

  • Thank you! I wish I had a nice tractor like yours.
