I like this version, but Jim really "dressed it up" I guess you would say. The Beatles kept it plain and simple and I like theirs much better, but it's nice to see people like him appreciating the Beatles songs... :)

I am all for making something your own, but only if it works. This version ruins what is in my opinion one of the greatest and most influential rock songs of all time. That being said, I think that there are certain songs that if you cover you stay very true to the original, like this. Much of the feeling and meaning from the original is lost. That doesn't mean that you can't get enjoyment from this song, but this cover loses what made the original desirable to cover in the first place.

I disagree. 1) This song is not one of the most influential songs, either culturally or musically, since it is only moderately well covered, fairly simple only complex for a pop-rock song, not often cited as people's favorite song, using Rolling Stone's list and personal experience here.

2) Read the lyrics and listen again to the original, it is questioning the "revolutionary" spirit of some much as Jim does in the film
