I don't see any reason to add nuts to brownies, they don't add flavor and I know people who can't deal with them because of their teeth; not to mention those with allergys. I remember liking raisins. That mixing bowl really got my attention it seems to be stabilized. I see from the task lighting over the counter and I wonder if you picked out fixtures for the ceiling soffits. Do you use the ovens convection feature or go standard? Finally seasons greeting and I hope youre not missing buffalo
@touristinexile I agree. For me it's a texture thing: you've got this nice, chewy brownie, and then a hard nut ruins it. I LOVE my mixing bowls, I bought them on Amazon a few weeks ago, a set of three from Oxo. Highly recommend. Very stable, plus easy to pour out of. As for the lights, they're just plain recessed mini-floods - nothing fancy. And no, I don't bother with convection for the brownies. I figure they've turned out perfectly for this long, why mess with success? :-)
