• I bought this cassette way back in the mid-eighties when a saw this video on TV. The vid has a Fritz the Cat kinda feel. Great song too if you dig the 80's sound and your're looking for a rare gem.

  • this has to be the one song that reminds me of a time when life had no boundries. my youth in th 80s

  • Where is the POP OUT feature?

  • This is in the T.V/ music's greatest moments Hall of Fame in my mind.

  • The Extras, Denis Keldie and Leon Stevenson will be performing at The Moonshine Cafe in Oakville Ontario on January 14, 2011.

  • Like everyone else here, I've had snippets of this song & video going through my brain for years; used to always watch it on First Choice pay TV in the mid-80's, but I could never find any info about the band or video...thank you!!! For years I'd hear "It's hot & it's sticky, think I'll get myself a mickey" and see the brick bounce off the billboard and deflate the cat's face...that's a sign of a great hook!

  • Thanks so much. I've had fragments of this song in my head for years.

  • OMG, thank you so much for having this!

I remember this song from when I used to watch the video on "First Choice", Canada's first commercial-free pay-TV channel. They used to pad out the time between movies with music videos, and because they had a CanCon percent to fill, often they were by Canadian bands. But it was SO HARD to find references to this song, let alone the mp3. I was beginning to think I'd imagined it!

So thank you, thank you, thank you. :) Cool song, amazing video!

  • "I can't relax or I melt like wax..."

Great lyric, oh the nostalgia. :)

  • My wife and I have been searching for this as well - you're our hero!

23 years?! Wow. That just makes me old.

  • I've been trying to find this video forever. Thanks!

  • I love this video and went on a search for it tonight. Great animation and great song. 1985 - animated video with dominatrix, booze drinking cats, gay punks with cops? Could only have been made in Toronto!

  • Its one of those videos that have stood the test of time for me. And thats saying alot. With most videos, you see them once and forget them. Not this one.........

  • Oh my gawd. I have been looking for this video for twenty years.

    I feel OLD.

But so happy to know that someone out there still has it!

  • This made my night. I so remembered seeing this as a teen in Ontario, I need someway to get this song for my ipod...

  • I sooooo want this on MP3. :)

  • I loved that vidéo back then and still love it ! Great song !!

  • WOW YOU MADE MY DAY ! I'm 37 years old and I was waiting to see this early and first " Buzzclip " from Muchmusic Vid !!! Great Song , breakthrough vid for the time. Great lyrics !

  • I've searched for this video for about 14 years! Thanks Youtube. (and sexrat!)

  • This is SOOOO awesome...great memories

  • OMG. I can't believe this video was put up. Man, I loved this song since I was a kid. I thought the video was cool and I still do

  • For sure, this was a great band with a lot of promise.. to bad they faded away. Can't even find the song/video for Jealous Girl or Turn It Out which were a couple of other great tunes by this band.

  • that was a lil before the pimples aka simpsons.i been lookin for this forever im glad i found it.only knew the song title.

  • Hey did the guys from the Simpsons still this cat for their "Itchy & Scratchy"...just something to ponder. Incredible avant garde and YA Canadian!!

  • The animation for this video was done at a small studio in Toronto. The animation director was Peter Sauder, who worked on Yellow Submarine and, later, was a director at Nelvana. So this was an all-Canadian production. :) I have a "Making Of" mini-documentary on this video -- I'll post it when I get the chance.

  • FYI, I've uploaded the "Making Of" mini-documentary to YouTube.

  • TORONTO CLASSIC!!
