Well, the lisbon treaty surely has its flaws but you exaggerate way to much. Why just only black and white? They are many greys in between. The nation states of the past surely were not the anwer for the future. Think of World War 1, 2 and so on. Those happened mainly because of the Nation states!

Actually I did read it, I read lots of things related to my government and the EU in general.

I usually focus on broadcasting bills and research government proposals for lots of different things to make sure that they are doing the right thing.

I also communicate with my countries politicians when I find something which can be done better.

I am not spreading propaganda.

I understand the issues the EU member states face today whereas you think we are still living in the 50's, ur full of shit.

A tease is a headline which is worded in such a way that it does not explicitly tell you it is fact but 99% of people assume it is.

Words like "confused", "claim" etc are used in the headline.

The no campaigners were caught with their pants down lying to the public about minimum wages and thats why they lost in Ireland. People realized they were full of shit. People caught on to the "tease" headlines and realized if it were fact it would say so. No campaigners spread propaganda, not me.

What is the agenda with the EU? What will you have that you didn't have before?? What are you so afraid of? The EU could come crashing down as one unit. Seems a false sense of security to me-I see no real advantage. Actually too many factions and ethic populations not related in the least. National pride and accomplishment are degraded.

Bullshit, the EU is very protective of cultural diversity and that will not change. Take a look at europeana for example, a joint effort by eu states to aggregate and make available member states historic and culture for free.

The Lisbon treaty makes it easier to do things like collaborate on certain laws(copyright for example) so that its not as difficult to deliver content across all EU states as soon as possible. Its currently a mess which ends up excluding certain countries.

And just to clarify, collaborating on laws doesn't mean countries need to accept, they can decline too. It just means that The EU itself can propose standards and regulations which can benefit all EU member states.

Seriously I have spoken to my countries politicians and the EU commission about various different regulations and the conclusion that I arrived at was that the EU member states need to communicate and work together on certain things to ensure the best interest of the citizens.

The EU is not some evil corporate machine as some would have you believe. In fact the EU has done more than any other organization in battling monopolistic tenancies of corporations.

Corporations today are international and its not viable to have individual states work independently to protect citizens from corporations.

The Lisbon Treaty will help battle this and in turn help battle corruption in government bodies, think about it.. Where does corruption come from.. Corporations of course.

Basically open standards are a good thing, collaborating on regulations are a good thing for all member states and will increase interest in Europe from companies.

So more jobs and more services/products.

Collaboration also helps solve problems. How far would the esa have gotten without collaboration.

The lisbon treaty is great in so many things its impossible to list them all here but the majority of people apposed have no idea how the world actually works and what to actually be afraid of.

Explain to me how having individual copyright laws for each EU state is useful.

Because when you look at the facts its delayed content from being distributed to EU countries, in some cases content is not released in certain states because the legal mess is so large its not financially viable to deploy across all of Europe.

The Lisbon treaty enables EU states to collaborate on things like copyright laws to make things more efficient, to make sure no one is left out and we get things asap.

The Silhouette judgement allowed what was a unique Austrian trademark law to become a pan-EU dictate. Now we cannot import goods from outside of the EU that have any kind of trademark or copyright without the permission of the brand holder in the EU. This is not in the interests of small business or the people.
