  • Only a freaky of Star Trek would love this shit. I mean it was lovely done but soooooooo amateur... its terrible...

But at least I have respect for all the people involved in this!

  • i have this trek movie and enjoy it. i noticed the vulcan helmsman was same actor who played a vulcan on st phase2/new voyages. :)

"it's dominate, or be dominated!"-love that line.

  • When does this come out on DVD?

  • The cast had to be in bed by 9 P.M.

  • @LibertyLuvr1969 You know space may be the final frontier, yet it's also the perfect backdrop for playing out any story or allegory.

    A.G.

  • this is what it is, a fan made film made out of love for star trek and everything that is star trek. this shouldnt be compared to anything studio produced.

  • Whaaaat the hell is this shit... seriously.

  • My thanks and sincere respect to all who participated in creating this. It is a great tribute to all things Star Trek.

    :) :)

  • The directing is college-level. How hard was it to have made a thorough storyboard, study it, then shot the film with stand-ins, study it--carefully--then shoot using the main actors? Of course an experienced director wouldn't need to shoot the whole thing first, he'd just start the day with stand-ins.

  • Wow.. there really is a lot of Franchise actors in this film

  • Eh... yeah, just eh. Can't justify spending 10 minutes over that many parts. Bummer

  • It's a shame so few people know of this film. It's easily the best Trek film in my opinion.

  • What is with the extreme close ups?

  • Why would Tim russ of Voyager play a part in this amateur piece of shit?

  • @LoftyProduction Because he directed it?

  • I finally got to watch this in its entirety recently. I have to say, it was pretty good. I'm a die hard TOS fan so this appealed to me. The effects were very good for a fan made flick. And the CGI was very realistic. The acting wasn't half bad either. And it had a good story. I was quite impressed.

  • I stumbled across this fan movie quite by accident and was not expecting much, but... Wow! I was very surprised. These people cooked up quite a yarn with some unexpected twists and brought back many classic TOS characters such as Charlie X and Gary Mitchell. Walter Koenig was terrific as an alternate timeline version of Chekov. It is worth your time to invest in watching the whole movie. I've been a fan since the show was first broadcast in the 1960's and was not disappointed. Good job!

  • this looks absolutely terrible and extremely "low budget" might be good for die hard star trek fans, but not so good for movie fans. im not even going to waist my time watching the movie since i couldnt sit through the trailer.

  • waist?

Why should anybody waste their time with your opinion when you have a profound lack of mastery with the English language?

  • @bitmoresane YES WHAT IS THIS SHIT THIS IS THE NEW STAR TREK FILM ARE THEY IN A ALTERNATIVE UNIVERSE I THOUGHT THEY PICK UP WHERE THE LAST TREK ENDED WITH THE NEW CAST I THINK THIS CRAP WILL KILL STAR TREK

  • @mavivirgie Um... that's already happened with "Enterprise" they also made it where they can't do a film for either "Deep Space Nine" and "Voyager" because they gave those series firm conclusions.

  • Its hard to get into if you didnt follow TOS. The acting is really peculiar and artistic.

Whoever sees this as a normal Movie or TV show will be disapointed. This movie is a complete piece of art meant to satisfy the REAL fans.

When i say real fans i mean those who dont spend too much time whining about the subliminal insertions thinking that they are mistakes...

    Fuckin dumbasses.

XD anyway its good... really :D

  • Looks like Star Trek - Enterprise "A Mirror Darkly"

  • @opacid YES ITS LOOKS LIKE MIRROR MIRROR

  • @mavivirgie lolz, I checked it out. Wasn't actually the same deal, but similar, but wasn't bad.

  • @opacid ILL THINK ILL WAIT FOR THE DVD AND RENT IT

  • this looks awesome! there is no better word to describe it.

  • Better than "Star Trek" (2009.)

  • I love the sets, costumes, makeup, and actors. Story's pretty good too. Visual effects were kinda bland, i think Operation Beta Shield beat them in that respect (and only in that respect). But aside from the CGI, this movie was amazing. A fan film by the original actors.

  • I saw the film. it was very good. one of the better fan films I have ever seen

  • Adobe After Effects FTW!

  • this is nonsence

  • im not a fan of TOS or TNG (im a DS9 fan) but i respect them for this effort.

  • Wow, that looks baaad.

The epic music just made it hilarious.

  • the guy at 2:37 look kinda like mr. checkof

  • That's probably because he is.

  • Oh! Your right! I thought that was some other random dude! I did not think Checkof would ever disobey Star fleet orders! I NEED to see this movie!

  • It's an alternate timeline. Basically it's what the universe would have been like had Kirk Never been born.

  • may you live long and pro... how embarrassing. come on, i mean really is this for real... what a joke

  • It's a fan base video I'm sure. For what little budget I'm sure it had it's actually not half bad.

  • Nice :-)

  • Fantastic!!!!!!

  • the fx ruined it for me, they were just soo bad

  • Fedaykin24 was right. Walter Koenig was VERY GOOD as Bester in Babylon 5. As for this film don't be too harsh. It is what it is. Let this be an example that can spring forth other material with the actors we have grown to love.

  • Cool!

  • Interesting...The acting and effects are better than the original series had. Nice to see the original cast keeping the franchise alive.

  • Yeah, just watched final installment of this horrendous and embarrassing tour de farce. Look, i love the star trek actors as much as the next, but dont they read the fugging script before agreeing to be par to it??? cant they tell crappy story/dialogue/plot whent they read it? chec and uhur did their best with the lines, but honestly, it wasnt even a B-movie. and why rave the director??? he should hide in shame, and the writers??? what would Harlan say about this tripe?

  • why????

  • For me it shows how Star Trek could be done with talented writers.

Also it shows how much of a wasted talent Walter Koenig is, anyone who has seen him play Bester in Babylon 5 will know him as an amazing character actor. This fan film allows us to see him at his best...

  • This is a an embarrassing piece of shit

  • I've seen the entire movie now and its a true tribute to Star Trek, its creator, characters, and its fans. For a 'fan fillm' to get actual actors with original material is incredible. Imagine what else they could do with this? The trailer here doesn't do it justice so watch the entire show from part 1 to part 10... wonderfully done and all those invovled are true visionaries, taking aspects from TOS to the present. PLEASE make more like this because the fans will love them!! ^^

  • it looks like it's low budgeted.

  • It's a fanfilm, so it kinda has to be by necessity. Nobody can make any money so it doesn't make any financial sense to make it big budget.

  • I saw part of this at The Wrath of Con Sci-Fi convention in Panama City, FL this past weekend! It looks awesome from what I saw! Too bad I didn't get to see the whole thing.

  • when is this coming out ? :)

  • Oh,this was change.So,there is no OGM

  • Part 2 is on right now and just wait'll you see what else happens on there.

  • can you please tell me if this is a film comin out or is out on dvd please let me no

  • It's a Fanfilm, with some recognisable faces.

  • FINALLY!! What the franchise really needs: A real Star Trek film with a PLOT!! Say what you will about the special effects, I cannot wait until this comes out on DVD.

The original cast was the best.............I hope they make many more of these.

  • Not bad at all. If money were no object, it could do with some post-production film-look filtering. But money is an object, which makes the achievement even more impressive.

  • this actually looks pretty cool, the ships are nice but the weapons affects look a little off. the camera is a little Battlestar Galactica-ish though...still,not bad for a fanfilm!

  • Part 1 was good, and Part 2 comes out March 15th. I can't wait to see more of it.

  • Damn, I've seen 15 year old kids make better animations. I like Star Trek, however the special effects in this seriously don't do anything for me.

  • so is this set in the mirror universe?

seems like a great commentary on US foreign policy.

  • Ok, I was confused at first but, this is a movie that was made for the internet and honestly isnt so bad. The theatrical movie is set for release in Dec.'08

  • You know, I think this trailer is not that bad. Isn't Tim Russ a director? If that's true then he's not half bad for an actor. Can't wait till it comes out. :)

  • That looks sooo cheap. They'd better taken themselves a little more time for the special effects.

  • I wish they had a better camera crew to stop all that camera shaking and maybe even a working camera that wasn't stuck on ZOOM durin the whole movie (lol...)

  • lol Sweaty actors' faces...

  • Please tell me this is'nt serious.....real Star Trek movies made by TREKKIES???? You mean to tell me that there really are some Trekkies that have enough in the bank to not only make a "fan" flick but to even hire some pro actors for the thing??? Oh, God this is scary.....

  • The actors probably volunteered.

  • I don't know.

I had been eagerly waiting for this, but now it looks like it's some thinly-veiled excuse for an attack on current events.

That would be a pretty sad waste of time and talent, if true.

  • its nothing like that. It plays up to and syncs with the Tomed incident. Its classic trek style dialogue so its understandable how it can be confused that way, but its not. Its a climactic film, no agenda (and usually i'm the first one to suspect these things)

  • Dude, you're a POS.

  • you're right... this is weird.

handful of well-known actors and one camera guy with a shoulder cam shooting the interior of a cardboard Enterprise...

I've always been a huge Trek fan... this is NOT good, this is NOT ok, actually if there's a bright center to the Trek-ness, this is the place that's farthest from it. (hmmm wrong movie franchise...) This reminds me of early Star Trek games in MS-DOS. Take it away TAKE IT AWAY *aaarrrggghhh*

  • @Gsx1976 Cardboard enterprise? James Cawley spent 100,000 dollars making EXACT replica's of the original series sets. The only exception being an actual computer monitor now and again so graphics can actually be changing on the bridge and things and not static photos. you can't insult and exact replica unless you're willing to ALSO complain about the original series sets to. They are no worse than the 60's ones OR the Enterprise Mirror universe ones.

  • Its Out Today for $29.99

  • Where?

  • Gosh! Capt Harrimen looks so dignified and captain-like and so...handsome

  • It looks pretty good. I'll watch it.

  • Just a week to go till the premiere this saturday,I can't wait to see it!

  • I think this is going to be a great effort on the fact that it is on a low budget. Tim Russ(who played TuVok) is directing it, and i give him a hell ya at what he is doing... I just wish Paramount would get their heads out of their asses and try to release another series in which Enterprise failed

  • rumor is that after star trek 11 comes out there will be another animated series, and then a another actual series

  • is this real if it is some1 please let me know when it is comin out cause i cant wait to see it

  • I too love star trek, but this looks like it's going to be really, really bad...

  • I love star trek, and the guys behind this are doing well.

...BUT sadly the combat scenes have camera movement that is the "Battlestar Galactica" signature, distracting and NO STAR TREK.

...and the cast is composed from every single race in ST crammed in one single ship... nope, don´t like that either.

A+ in effort, C- in cinematography.

  • Awesome!

  • FABBYTASTIC

  • I really want to see this! Bringing in Captain Harrimen was a really good direction. I'd love to have seen what he would have been like as a captain after his maiden voyage on Generations. Perhaps that could be a new fan film, but it couldn't be in a mirror universe.

  • captain picard has finally lost it

  • The official owners of Star Trek killed star trek. Its up to the fans and the decency of trek actors to try and keep Star Trek alive in some form. Its not brilliant, but its not bad.

  • Was thats some of the cast from ST:TOS . Anyways looks like the alternate universe from Enterprise : In a mirror darkly . Either way for a small budget it was good

  • hey, lets cut these guys some slack. they are doing this on a shoe string budget and they really care about star trek. so its not perfect. well neither was a lot of professional star trek either. and we are getting it for free. so lets at least watch the whole thing before we start saying what a pile of crap it is.

  • They really needed to hire a cinematographer, at one point they nearly actually got a person in shot.

  • Looking forward to the premiere! It's nice to see fan-filmmaking elevated to a professional level. And to the naysayers: it's easy to be critical when you're in critical condition.

  • where's the plot?

  • Fun movies luck money but they shown the courage to go where no one haze gone before. Trust me if warp drive ever going to be created - ship will name "phoenix"

  • Fun movies luck money but they shown the courage to go where no one haze gone before. Trust me if warp drive ever going to be created - ship will be named after the only one and only Phoenix

  • Get over yourselves losers... These actors are contributing their time to a fan based project for their love of the series. If you don't get it, just don't pay attention to it. No one cares about your nerdy, negative comments.

  • It saddens me to see all of these quality actors lower their standards. I didnt even watch the whole trailer, it was rubbish and as a seasoned trekkie I would not lower my standards of Trek to watch it.

  • This is an internet fan based movie. Google of Gods and Men to find the web site or read wikipedia. To me it looks real good, still not sure what its about, but I'm keeping an open mind. The project has been delayed for various reasons but I can't wait to see it.

  • wen is this film comin out please let me no someone

  • Sorry guys, this is a trailer for a internet movie, Star Trek of Gods and Men, this isn't the trailer for the 2008 Motion Picture directed by JJ Abrams, don't be fooled

  • I dont like the looks of this... Just looks like another sharp nail in the Star Trek coffin.

  • Agreed. I doubt this will be any good. At least it's not an official movie. It does lower my impression of several actors though. Garret Wang was a disastor anyway.. but J.G. Hertzler, Walter Koenig, Tim Russ.. I had higher thoughts of them...

  • This Video is Inappropriate - this is graphic violence! I love StarTrek but I h8 this video.

  • boo hoo hoo

  • im not sure i get what this.....isnt it a short series or is it a movie?

  • Huh? I dont understand, looks a tad stupid. good thing im a trekkie

  • Hmm, that seven of nine chik looks great. :D When this movie will come out?

  • This movie is going to go where no Star Trek movie has gone before! Long live evil Captain Harriman!!

  • this is a new movie right coming out at 2008, the graphics then are not finished :P btw isn't that evil captain (forgot his name) off star trek: generations at the first part of the movie?

  • I would think so.....but the only reason he's evil here is probebly because everythings soo messed up in the mirror Universe :D

  • Even better than Nemesis ;-)

  • What the.....Tuvok dies? Wanted to watch it before. Now I have to see it.

  • Looks very bizzare, does anyone have any idea who the bird with the 7of9 eye piece is? Its deff not Jeri Ryan...Im hopefull this will be good, but it looks like it will be a pile of s**t lol

  • Unknown who she is. But it is not seven of nine because she didn't exist yet. Garrett Wang Is not playing Harry Kim in this. And Cirroc Loflin isn't playing Jake Sisko. They don't exist in this time period.

  • This is like a Star Trek Convention come to life!

  • OOO...nice...even got young tuvok!!!

  • lol...nice

  • they are pretty good concidering that its a fan film and has no backing from any studios

  • Yeah, and they kinda remind me of the classic effects of the original movies.

  • the special effects suck!!

  • Yeah, he was. And other things.

    Bueller...? Bueller...?

  • INTENSE! much enjoyed!

  • This looks terrible. It's great that everyone is donating their efforts, but - couldn't they have found a script?

  • The Mirror Universe should be the focus of Star Trek movies.

    Wait what is this?

    MinorPhaserBurns

  • I found an article on Wikipedia about this. Unfortunately all it had was "It's starring this person and this person and this person and was shot at this location and this location and the producer said blah blah blah and is scedualed for something at this date" and nothing about the actual story or characters.

  • Interesting, a fan movie but with real actors. And it's set in the Mirror universe! Cool.

  • ...

  • ...

  • Yay, a movie based on all the Also-Rans of all the Star Treks. What fun.

Were they even trying when they made this??

  • Actually, it looks like they're trying the best that they can under the circumstances. Aren't cast and crew essentially donating their efforts?

  • I have serious doubts about this. What the hell is The Matrix music doing in Star Trek? And the special effects are very crappy, even for a unofficial movie like this. It is cool to see all the characters again.

  • is tim russ playing tovok

  • yes, and directing.

  • would like to know more. I mean Uhura,Chekov in it wow! actor who played John Harriman, gary graham,Tim Russ,Garrett Wang, actor who played Martok in DS9. Wow,what a cast! It should be good!

  • I hope so. They're making it for fans just like you and I. I'm looking forward to it, also.

  • A ST mirror universe with Tim Russ directing? I can't wait! I do agree, it needs more advertizing. Fans, let's all do our part.

  • I'm all in. i hope they get it finished soon

  • Yeeaah, Checov is back!

  • I stumbled on it by chance too, glad I did though. I am impressed.

  • This needs more advertisement. I just stumbled on it by chance. Its very exciting!

  • Today was the day that this Trek film would be aired, but due to some complications,it's been delayed. Well..they say some things are worth the wait and I still look forward to it.

  • Im not sure what it is...But I am sure I like it! Thanx Actors for your time...I recognise everyone as an experienced actor, and must assume they appeared for the love of TREK! Thanx again, hope 2 see more!

  • Wow...this stuff is better than the crap that the "official" Star Trek people turn out...I mean has anyone actually seen Voyager?

  • I have seen Voyager and I loved it

  • Should've had an ass-kicking hero like James T. Kirk - A real god and a real man.

  • This looks fantastic. Intriguing premise and great action. Like the brave attempt to do a new style with Trek cg. Alan Ruck is brilliant - I'd watch it just for him. Oh and maybe the frankly gorgeous Borg lady. Its a Trek fan film, made by fans for fans. Really excited about it!

  • I am already disappointed. The special effects makes the effects on Battlestar Galactica look 100 times better and the famous line issued by Ben Franklin, ""Those who choose security over liberty will end up losing both, and will deserve neither," is so clumsily spoken by Chekov that it disgusts me to no end. And I am a Trekker! I guess I am tough to please these days, but a rerun of the original series was much better than this preview.

  • Wow. Nice effort. I think your camera guy is a little sloppy, giving this a bit more of a fan-film look than it deserves, but I think some of it is intentional to give it that "Firefly" and "Galactica" look. I think fans will eat it up. Ignore the detractors. The visuals are first-rate, and if the story and edited final product are good, it'll go down in history with the best of 'em (but lose the "Matrix" music you have in the trailer, it's doing nobody any good).

  • R.I.P. Trek dignity.

And for the record: While Enterprise never made it past barely mediocre, neither did any of the other series in the first two seasons (except TOS). It is par for the course for a trek series to blow for two seasons and then pick up from there.

  • what the HELL is that?

  • man - all the miserable little turd monkeys on this should shut the hell up and die.

Nice to see people making an effort - and it looks better then the last few official movies that have been out. Also Enterprise was without a doubt the most interesting series, shame all the yanks brains couldn't keep up with an ongoing plot with slightly more depth then a shallow puddle.

  • I dont know what everyone is fussing about. This IS a fan-based project (ST: New Voyages) and it's a huge undertaking. I'll be happy to see it through to the end.

  • SO DEPRESSING! Good actors, beautiful sets, decent CG, complex plot, & they had TUVOK DIRECT IT? Wasn't Enterprise canceled in 3 seasons? Why? Because IT WAS THE MIKE BROWN OF TREK SHOWS!! Most episodes were directed & written by actors from Voyager, DS9, and TNG, which is NO qualification for directing, just as judging horse shows is no qualification for heading an agency set up to save us in a disaster. This isn't a gift to fans at all! It's a gift to Tim Russ!!

  • is that girl seven of nine or something shes kinda hot.

  • SOOO very Bad im suprised Shatner aint in this crappola

  • It was done as a "thank you" from the cast folks. Damn. It's a little rough, but at least it's not a bunch of bored high school geeks , or hammy community theater rejects in it; it actually has Trek stars. I'll put it like this; I'm more interested about this than I EVER was in "Enterprise"...and no Rod Stewart theme songs either!

  • I would have felt better if it was geeks with webcams, it would have been 100x better than this. You don't take a crap in a box, wrap it with a bow and call it a "gift".

  • This would only have been a good movie if they had a professional camera man. Its going along with examples of terrible camera work such as Miami Vice (2006)

  • It is sad, especially since they went to SO much trouble making those exquisite looking sets and outfits. But you're right, a large part of what sucks is that the camera is always exactly three inches from the actors faces, like some virtual reality make-out simulator. Me no likey gay Tuvok kisses.

  • Talk about not being able to let go. :(

  • True.

  • but Tuvok served on board the Excelsior with Sulu, remember? ;) So he would eb around at the time, even if it is 'Mirror Universe'.

  • This is FAN MADE? Looks really good - but I can't work out how all the 'eras' are jumbled up.

Even if it is 'mirror' - Tuvok shouldn't be around then - he is in the TNG/DS9/Voy era fighting against the alliance.
