@LalaBadd If still on wotlk by any reason, and pre-cata patch, i would say fire/frost, for shatter causing instant pyros alot :). if arena, you could go 0/50/21. But now we are on cata, and Specing like before is unavailble. On mage i got OS fire in pvp, got 2/31/8 there, again CoC adding frezze is amazing for instant pyros

@zacharael80 Well if your going to start out with a lvl 1 mage you want to go frost really it's best for lvling but when you hit lvl 80 you want to go arcane because it has a lot of good things for nice dps increase and nice moves to and near the end you get a nice dps and buffs for ya it's what all mages are doing lvl frost because frost is good with defence like ice barrier and a nice water pet to hold aggro will you do you'r stuff well that my thought dont have any for fire so hope helps?

@angeriod I really stuck in the middle really frost mages are the best for lvling and doing low lvl pvp matchs.Arcane......i guess it's good in pvp matchs it's how you learn to use arcane really.Fire um is like shadow on the priest tree it's pure dps but..... not really helpful in defensive to stay alive.Frost is the best it has the best defensive spells and nice damage with shatter 3/3. That's my thoughts.

@angeriod I mean fire is really good but...... you won't stay alive that much you will need to get a lot of stam for fire really compraed to frost and arcane which have nice defensive moves to help you out fire is hard to take over if you know what i mean it's just not that defensive like frost and when it is it's mana shiled which will cost you your mana which you need for your spells.

@zacharael80 Leveling with Frost is the best, but Arcane is the highest damage while standing still. Arcane kinda sucks in PvE raids though because you almost always have to move around to avoid little tricks Blizzard puts in on bosses. That's when Fire is better because you can do a lot more while moving around with Fire and most Arcane spells can only be cast when standing still. You can always try out both and pick whichever is best for your style of play.
