They are singing the song because they were given permission to sing the song a long long time ago. You may not know who these people are and thats understandable but just be sure to find out who they are before you begin to judge. The red blanket singers were formed by the original members of the Otter Trail Singers that are currently in texas.Feel free to look at the biography of the Ottertrail singers and the red blanket singers you will be sure to find some of the same names
