I like it, except for the Red Zuchetto, it should have been white but I understand the reasons behind it, but other then that I thought it was cute, it promotes a Catholic event and it doesn't trash the faith. I am a very conservative Catholic who is border line Traditionalist and I see no problem with this. I might even like to have one of those bobble heads, I wonder if they make one of St. Christopher??
The greatest theologian since St. Augustine. The Liberal Priests are shaking as Benedict XVI aims his righteousness at their sinful ways. Pope John Paul II always asked for Benedict's advice before anything. The great GERMAN POPE!!!!!
Wow, what geniuses came up with this marketing gimmick ??? These people need to get a real job.......like working for a garbage collecting company !!! Sheesh.
The problem is they purposely dressed the pope incorrectly. How would the cops like it if their was an add with a policeman in a security uniform. This will make amateurs think that the pope might be the non roman catholic archbishop of canterbury or someother dressed heretical non donminational person with red and robes. We must be able to distinguish the difference between the real popes outfit and the phoney christian lite leaders outfits. No confusion for kids who know zip about the church.
Well, over all I liked it. Although you're right about the bobble head. Still, having the guy perform in Gregorian Chant was a nice touch. The intent was to facilitate crowds going to the event. I don't think disrespect was intended at any level.
I also wasn't a fan of 'unholy traffic' joke. But I hardly consider this ad on a par with real assaults on religion, Christianity or Catholicism.

I'm worried that Bobble-Head Pope might get sat on! He is pretty short.
Silly ad, really, and a bit pointless.

I heard they gave him a red zuchetto simply because the white one did not show up against his white hair.
