You know I was extremely skeptical about Anette, but after hearing her perform "Ever Dream" I must say, contrary to my original reaction she really does have a great voice. I'm not going to try and compare her to Tarja, because everyone is accustomed to Tarja since she was the original recording but I think Anette brings a fresh sound to Nightwish and think she is doing a great job.

I don't wanna be part of a debate cuz i think tarja and anette sing so different, both being great. What i do notice is that anette brings a genuine intensity in her singing and her performance that makes nightwish seem more like one entity, rather than a metal band with a diva at the front.

Ppl!!. If they dont play old songs with Anette what would the concerts be like? I got a concert to go to at nov 28th in Copenhagen and i cant wait. But i tell u. If they only play the new songs i get very disappointed. I wish i had an angel and stuff. Anette can easily sing those. give her a break. tarja was unique to Nightwish but Anette is awesome in Amaranth and she is great anyway. Cheer her up instead of booing at her really.

By the way, I think the band shouldn't play again the songs of the other old albums with her, but it should be better if they play only the new songs with Annette. Actually we can compare other female artist to that of Tarja. Loreena for one, for she has raw talent, pure delivery and the connection between voice and song. Sarah Brightman has a better opera voice compared to Tarja's,plus her shows are amazing! Sharon from within Temptation out sings Tarja any night of the week,even on her(Sharon's) off nights. Personally I think their countless others that just blow Tarja away. Tarja is good...but just good not elite.
