On September 11, my dad was on his way to work at the WTC, until he got a call from the preschool my little brother was at because my brother was sick, instead of going to work my dad drove to pick up my brother and 10 minutes later the Twin Towers are attacked, if this is a gift of God I thank him dearly, and to all of the families that were not as lucky as me, I apologize, and I pray for you and your families every night. I was younger when this all happened. I was 9 years old at the time and didn't really grasp the full concept of it. All i remember was seeing it on the news and my mom and step-grandparents sitting there watching it on TV. I didn't lose anyone in those buildings but i do know how it feels to lose someone you care about.
The lights illuminating where the towers once stood are so haunting. They hold so many stories that will never be heard. I was 9 years old and I remember my sister was a nursing student at that time. She immediately went to the other side of the hudson (NJ) with the rest of the workers and waited for people to come over. No one came, people just died instantly. These attacks showed no mercy and every year I learn more of the horror that I was too young to comprehend. I love all of you <3

I was too young at the time and I never new about it till later on in my life. I'm 14 now and this just makes me think, What was I doing? Did my parents have the TV on while the others were in school and I was running around the house?

On September 11, my dad was on his way to work at the WTC, until he got a call from the preschool my little brother was at because my brother was sick, instead of going to work my dad drove to pick up my brother and 10 minutes later the Twin Towers are attacked, if this is a gift of God I thank him dearly, and to all of the families that were not as lucky as me, I apologize, and I pray for you and your families every night. i will never forget 9/11 and all of the innocent lives that were taken on that day. Its truly sad for so many innocent lives to parish when they didnt deserve this. I will always watch 9/11 videos on that day and show my kids what used to be the greatest sight to see was the twin towers.. it left many of us sad but we will still remain strong and let us never forget 9/11. I would like to say to everyone who says this is a lesser tragedy than, for example, WWII because less people died on this day than on other days of tragedy: Pain is relative. One person's tragedy is no less painful than another's simply because an outsider looking in deems it so. Death is always tragic and to say that Americans are cry babies because you deem this a lesser tragedy than yours is to completely discount every pain of every loved one involved in this massacre of innocent lives.

I was younger when this all happened. I was 9 years old at the time and didn't really grasp the full concept of it. All i remember was seeing it on the news and my mom and step-grandparents sitting there watching it on TV. I didn't lose anyone in those buildings but i do know how it feels to lose someone you care about.

The lights illuminating where the towers once stood are so haunting. They hold so many stories that will never be heard. I was 9 years old and I remember my sister was a nursing student at that time. She immediately went to the other side of the hudson (NJ) with the rest of the workers and waited for people to come over. No one came, people just died instantly. These attacks showed no mercy and every year I learn more of the horror that I was too young to comprehend. I love all of you <3
