@snitchables You mean at the back of the motherboard tray? Doesn't look like Sata cable, since the bigger these cables are the less conductive they become. It must be something from the case.
I'm about to have my HAF delivered and I tell you. :)
Two points; first it's clearly half build at best and secondly, behind the mobo tray on this case it doesn't matter a jot since it's tidy at the front and that's where the airflow is.
am i right in thinking that you don't have a window side panel? if so, can you see the components inside if it is lit up at night? finally, if you had a choice, would you have gone for an alternative CM and if so which one? I like the haf 922 but sad it's not sold with a side window in the uk. that's why i may have to go for the haf x instead.
Those microsoft headsets suck.. I have 2 of them, and the mic is broken from both... now i've had SteelSeries Siberia V2 for almost 2 years, and no problem with those, and the sound quality is ALOT better with Siberia V2, holy shit.. And no, i don't throw my headsets around or drop them on the floor or such, the mics got broken from the MS headsets in normal use.
My opinions is that you have to paint the interior of the case in black mate color just like on the "Advance" model would tottaly change the look of the case ,anyways , thumbs uP!
Im a total noob LOL and i dont know where those red green blue wire goes.. could you please tell me where to insert them in the motherboard thanks alot
i have a xfx 6950 in my 922, fits very comfortably, and wither xfire fits is kinda dependent on your motherboard, how would the layout work? will the second card fit in the first 7 PCIe slots? if so then yes xfire will work
he can fit any card and crossfire any. Dont be put off by 'Mid tower' it is technically bigger than the haf x. It is one of the longest and widest on the market - definatley would recommend it. Haf 932 and Haf x are both thinner, shorter in length but a lot taller. your choice
i installed my upside down and yes its a bit difficult but i used the that little bump/tab of metal and pushed it under it and used my hand to press it down as i screwed the PSU with the other, pretty difficult, but it works. REALLY SNUG thou
i got that case whit a core2 e 8600 and a ati 4890 hd 1go and i got blue and red neons it's one of the most ventilated cases i could findfor the price i got a lot of pc cases before and this one its the best of them all for the price
I really prefer reviews that I can actually hear! what we have here is someone that just mumbles away for four and a half minutes and really doesn't tell us anything.
basically a 932 with fewer bays and a tad more modern styling? damn...shouldve gotten this one instead of the 932 since i dont even use much of the space
@MrGamesOfficial yea that is true, but personally i think the 922 looks much more refined. i have a gtx 480 and the v8 cooler so that kind of decided which case i was going to buy.
@MrGamesOfficial i have the evga superclocked edition that came with evga precision, which shows temps, usage, frames, all that nice stuff in the same format fraps does but it doesnt steal frames. Yea it used to run hot, i mean with the 932's stock fans it was reaching close to 90 in crysis and red faction. but i put in 4 120's on the side and 2 on top, then one hanging below a drive bay blowing over the ram and through the cpu cooler. temps havnt breached 75 in anything,
@MrGamesOfficial WOW my gts250 gos on 51*c on a hot day and on 72*c on max load and i dont have this case so if i get this case the temp will go lower
@MrGamesOfficial right now ive set the fan controller to half of every fans top speed and left the 480's at auto (44%) and is idling at 38 C. last night when it was a little colder it was steady at 34 C. it really depends on ambient temps too. So all in all the card is fantastic if you have supple air flow. power usage should be improved hopefully with the next releases.
@MrGamesOfficial my gtx480 in my haf 922 runs great 40c while using desktop same noise as my old 8800gts dont notice it eats 5870 thats all that matters
My case side panel arches outwards and is warped so it is difficult to slide on due to this problem? Also the screws on the back wont go in because of misaligned holes. Does anyone else have these problems?
Not insulting you or anything. But you look like you dont have as much knowledge and care for computer building. NOT INSULTING U. Looks like u need to spend more time and care a little bit. Thats all.
The vertical PCI slot could be used for a PCI slot cooler. I'm definitely getting this case, that's perfect for a Lian-Li PCI cooler with dual 120mm fans that's switchable between exhaust/intake.
I used the Coolermaster HAF 932, and those tool-less drive bays were good, I didn't find I needed to install screws, it didn't rattle at all and they are exactly the same as on the 922.
@raouldijksman whats even more sad is that there is official review on youtube for HAF 922 case from hardware canucks and they have the PSU upside down lol but they do say that is backwards lol
If you would have read the second comment you would have noticed that i indeed said 160mm so yeh. lol, And if you dont know , why did you reply? =.= What a waste of time.
Im not sure if the 902 has cable management. I like the 922 because of its cable management, it looks great has the size of a full tower with a medium size price, fits everything, tool less design and over all fairly good.
its VERY loud! The amps on the 12v rails is quite low. You can now get many better power supplys equal to or cheaper than this! Such as the Thermaltake LitePower 600W and the Vantec ION2+ 600W
