  • you should do the horse rides, or follow the old man that walks every year from Oljato area

  • I'm Navajo too

P.S I'm your biggest fan too Terry Teller!

  • @lookerfromaz ain't true. I go there every year for the pioneer day and they say through the speaker. No one complains. I don't know where you heard that from.

  • It's always held the first Saturday of August. It always has been for years. It is great entertainment.

  • its fun

  • the Navajo whom live on this side of the rez do not like it, when people call it "Pioneer Day", because WE ARE NOT PIONEERS TO THE AREA, we are native to the area. When using the word Pineer makes it seems that we are not from that area. It would be cool if you no longer use that word. Thank you very much.

  • Pioneer means "one of the first to settle in a territory." The Anasazi & Hopi were here before us. Even Navajo creation stories tell it that way. This works for us. Besides, I didn't name it that. It's already called Pioneer Day.
