Just go with speer gold dot. Water tore this thing up. What about real world barriers such as auto glass, door jams, drywall, or car doors? If they lowered the price I might buy it to use at the range, but thats about it.
@2damaxmr2 dude if you really wanna carry something worth while carry Speer Gold Dot in 147 gr or Winchester PDX1 in 147 gr, both bonded both great rounds, and if you dont plan on shooting through any windshields or any intermediate barrier try a CORBON DPX, all the rounds ive just listed are FBI/IWBA approved
Jacket separation occurs only when the lead core is completely mashroomed and reached its maximal diameter. At this point the jacket does not contribute to the tissue damage any longer. The mass of the brass jacket is only a tiny fraction of the mass of the lead core and it's function is to prevent lead deposit in the barrel and to protect the core while it's passing through cloths and tissue until it's fully expanded.
Yes Taurus bought a Beretta factory lock stock and barrel. The bought the rights to make a clone on the same equipment. They did change the design slightly moving the safety to the frame where it belongs in my opinion.
@BrandonSaldana No it didn't. The 2 is a fantastic pistol. Better controls than the Beretta (better safety position, and works as a decocker also), same performance, same reliability, and at a couple hundred bucks cheaper.
honestly, the jacket separation doesn't bug me too much, because it went the whole way through two jugs before separating into two fairly large pieces, since it's only separation and not fragmentation are actually think they would probably work pretty well
I really like Golden Sabers, but all my tests come out the same as yours - great expansion, but the jacket separates from the core. Remington does offer a bonded version for a few dollars more. Perhaps they're worth it.
I still have the black one and will be using that one for future tests. I just got this one used from the local pawn shop and wanted to give it a run through. Flawless function throughout the shoot.
so bad guy now has 2 objects in him! Im good with that!

You should try the bonded version of the same round. Excellent results.

@fusionstar916 We did test the bonded version. Search through my vids and you will find it.

Oh and I like your Taurus better than your SW9VE that you use in later tests. Just thought I would mention that.

I would hate to be on the receiving end of a golden saber.
I carry the .40 165 grain Golden Sabers.

@SeeYouNextFall Did you see tnoutdoors9 video on the .40 Golden Saber? There was a problem expanding...

Black talons and ranger rounds are even worse than a golden saber. Golden Sabers are a nasty round but not as nasty as a black talon.

@andreleger2001 Yeah except Taurus took the beretta model and made an even crappier version of it!!

@BrandonSaldana Beretta is crappy to began with. As far as it goes for an all terrine combat weapon

Yeah the core is a really hard lead. It deforms some but stays together.

Where can I get some Win. T-series 45acp? I'd like to get a box or 2, they didnt have any at the last gun show I went to.
drftndunks 2 years ago
Try ombexpress or tds-us. Thats where I got mine. You have to keep checking them though because they sell out fast.

how much did you pay for a box of these?
ohbucki53 2 years ago
19.95 plus shipping - about 23 bucks since I bought several new ammo types to test at the same time.
