I put these on all of my gutiars but my only complain is tht the low E string comes on dead sounding. Alll the other strings sound great but the low E sounds dead from the moment you install it until you remove it. :/ they shoud; really fix that

i was using ernie ball slinky strings for a kool min but they just didnt last as much as i wanted them to and they couldnt handle my bending even though they were 11s WTF DOES NAYONE USE DIFF STRINGS that they might reccomend?

Elixir strings are coated, they sound amazing, and they last a long time. Be sure to clean the string each time after playing to make them last even longer.

11s are really thick and are terrible to bend. I tried them and my high E broke after not too long. If you detune a lot then use some skinny top heavy bottom. If you stay in standard usually then you should use...well these apparently :P

i bought bought my guitar used and it had power slinkys and it was two and a half months before one broke. then i put some super slinkys on, and the hight E broke 3 days later :(  still my fav string co. tho

Ive played Ernie Ball Skinny top-Heavy bottom strings for as long as i can remember, and I dont see myself using anything else anytime soon. Plus their Wah pedal is immense, I prefer it to my dunlop.

the gauges, look at the numbers on the packaging of all of them, if your a beginner, i would reccomend "not even slinkys" or "extra slinky", they are extremely low gauge so it doesnt hurt your fingers as much to play guitar

super extra regular are like the gauges.. super is like .8 gauge extra are like 9 regulars are 10s and power slinkys (which is use and are great) are 11 gauges

it's not always the strings that make sustain it's how your guitar's built.. a gibson les paul with a stop tail piece and set neck will have more sustain because the vibrations resonate in the body more.. a fender with a bolt on will have sustain but not as much because the vibrations won't travel as far and resonate. i hope that helps

Sorry, I misunderstood you. To me, Ernie Ball's are very comfortable and the regular strings last for a very long time. Just imagine how long the coated strings must last! I use Regular Slinkys.
