FMLN lost San Salvador because they had a pitifull administration which we do not want for our central government. Your polls were completely wrong on this issue as you have been in our history. It did happen but it is A FACT that the guerrillas murdered mostly military NOT CIVILIANS. They also did not engage in torture like D'Aubuisson and the ARENA party did. Remember Monsenor Romero, El Mozote, or the disappeared? The guerrillas did have a major fuck-up, Mayo Sibrian, who was some nutcase who murdered guerrilleros and civilians. There aren't many other events of guerrilla violence towards civilians there a lot recorded from the ARENA party, they just do a good job of playing it down
