  • Outstanding performances, wow!!!

  • Glad you enjoyed them.

The quality never ceases to amaze me at these events :)

  • Amazing performances and for a worthy cause - off to part 2!!

  • Thanks Danny :)

  • Hastings Stage Studio - WOW!

And I didn't catch the name (yes, I am multi-tasking and eating lunch while catching up on your videos) but the violin version before that was pretty good as well.

  • There is some more from the Stage Studio in a later video Steve.

I also liked that violin version. I love the variation in styles amongst the performers :)

  • Yet again absolutely brilliant from all concerned. I do hope you can keep this going Andy, and if you can, may I suggest a YT comedian/Impersonator called caroline372 be invited? Check out his videos. He loves the beatles and I'm sure if time allows he'd be there.

  • Thanks. I know you always enjoy these.

    Fingers crossed :)

  • The adeline cover was cool, all we need is love.

The 'my michelle' quartet version was fantastic.

  • I agree Ran.

The way that the music is interpreted, is one of the things i like best about the event. So many different styles :)

  • Looks like a fab day (yes, that's a pun... a weak one, but still).

How cool that you all raised so much money.

  • Very punny indeed ;)

We beat last years money raised record by over £2,000. That's a great total, especially in these economically challenged times :)

  • Sigh...your mother should know...

  • Wow. That just brought it back. It was so amazing to be sitting up there in the balcony during Abbey Road Side 2. The video, great as it is, doesn't do justice to the love of the material you heard from the performers live. That was definitely a special day and I'm so glad I was there for it!

  • Hi Lily.

Glad you enjoyed it. There will be approx 2 more parts to follow.

I agree. I don't think you can ever do justice to the event in a video like this. The sound, lighting, atmosphere etc just don't come across on a normal video camera. But, as you say, it does help to bring it all back.

I also agree about the way the performers really enjoy playing these songs. They really get into it & obviously love being there. Every year there are more artists wanting to play, than spaces available :)

  • What a great way to spend a day! I especially liked the kids choir singing "Michelle".

  • It is indeed a great way to spend a day Daryl.

There will be more from the kids in future videos :)

  • Such a variety of ways to approach Beatles music and from all ages!

The final act on this vid did a rretty good job with side 2 of Abbey Road. That album still stands out as one of the great accomplishments in rock history.

  • The age range of the performers & the audience is another of the good things about the day.

The Beatles music just seems to cut across the generations.

One of the interesting things about the day is that a lot of the songs were never actually performed live by The Beatles themselves. Abbey Road being a good example :)

  • great video, was really interesting to see the different types of music

  • Thanks.

That's one of the good things about the day. The variety of styles of music. Everyone interprets the music in their own way :)

  • And they ended it with "Her Majesty!!" Brilliant!! Great video, great footage. Oh, to be there and experience something like that! So good to hear that it's grown and has made so much money for a good cause. I'm actually wearing my Beatles Day 9 t-shirt as I write this...Not quite as good as being there, but still pretty cool! :)

  • I do think it's a nice touch to end it with that. Although that wasn't the end of the evening. That was mass sing-a-long to Hey Jude. I also have footage of that, taken from the stage. That will probably be at the end of the last video.

Glad you enjoyed it. But then i knew you would. I know you'd absolutely love this event.

    T.Shirt posted today btw :)
