Hi doz this episode have bloopers like johnny gets in a boys car and crashes in 2 a wall & he later falls in 2 a tank of water while testing a small scuba oxygen tank?
@funboy7979 I've never heard that. I only know that he was married a few times. Anyway, I'm glad your channel is available again and thanks for watching.
@hwy61media I have a channel? I've never seen it -- never uploaded anything. Oh well. Re the topic: he often drank to the point of blacking out. His first wife reported frequent beatings. Neighbor Truman Capote has spoken of protecting his bruised wife who would seek refuge in his apartment. Howard Stern used to refer to these stories often. I was not there, but the reports were never refuted.
@funboy7979 Some of the glitches on YouTube are amazing. Every time I click on your channel name is says, "channel unavailable" but you are still able to comment. Odd...
I'm sorry to hear these things about Johnny but thanks for the information. -Michael
What a rare clip. Thanks for the memory. I found it while googling to find out what year the show aired 'cause my parents were on DYTYW before it was renamed. Thanks to your info, I now know it was '58 so I was 9 years old. They were on around Easter time. I remember being backstage with my parents (Ed Sullivan Theater I think) helping them with their lines (they gave the contestants some lines to memorize). Then we took a Checker cab to Horn and Hardart's for a sandwich. Nice memory.
Hate to nit-pick, because I appreciate this rememberance from my younger years, but you got the titles switched: The show was called "Do You Trust Your Wife?" first, then "Who Do You Trust?" later. In any event, thanks for the clip.
Funny seeing all the rudimentary stick-man type drawings for advertisements. You would think they could have had a few more screen shots for TV shows such as Broken Arrow. Guess the stick-men were not considered rudimentary back then!
That would date this episode as being from January 1958. And that is Bill Nimmo as the announcer, he did the job for a few months before Ed McMahon took over later in 58...
Great ! Thanks

"Do You Beat Your Wife?" would have been a better show for Johnny.

@hwy61media Johnny was a mean drunk back in the day. Not a criticism, just fact.
