Cool. I think the most you can get is 296. It you get all of the rings, then you will recieve 50000 points when you finish the act.

This is a good game, but to bad you dont have the original. In Sonic The Hedgehog 2for the sega genesis Sonic's jump didnt sound like the one here. This jump sound is from Sonic CD, for the PC.

Are you sure? It sounds pretty much the same to me, and I had the genesis and sonic 3 (sonic and knuckles) I always thought it sounded like this for all three games.

i have this game! the farthest i have ever gotten was like 2 minutes in the lava level. which i am pretty sure is level 2 haha. how pathetic.

Actually, The lava level was LV 2 in Sonic the hedgehog one, not too. Ther was a Lava-esque LV in this one called Hilltop Zone, but it was kinda far in. But don't feel bad, Sonic the hedgehog 1 Was the hardest Genesis sonic game.

Yeah, I felt SO F***IN ANGRY WHEN I GOT TO LVL 18/19 IN THAT AND DIED! But oh well, I just hate the lava level cause it takes forever to beat no matter how easy. If you only get there then just wait until the Labyrinth...

I wouldn't feel bad for them, many of them probably would stick with playing the Wii/360/PS3, but they could always buy the classic systems, especially if they have older siblings.
