But the point I was trying to make is that its a sad world that even black kids can accept a white rapper, but when someone like Dev Hynes makes "white music" (shudders), a random black or white person will give them dirty looks despite their history. if you are getting this from a TV screen, then just know that the box lies alot. Because I know black people that still take music lessons and black musicians that play guitar and other instruments. THe emergence of hiphop did make producing alot easier, especially for the people in the projects, who couldn't afford music lessons or real musical instruments. but who gives a flying squat, this is great music.
also, I would like to add that producing doesn't just take a drum machine these days, especially with the sampling controversy. You'll find in some hiphop records, guitar loops, and bass solos. So, to say that hiphop musicians, aren't musicians, is pretty stupid, just because they don't play in a live band.

Anything that makes sounds which have melody and rhythm is Music!! But I don't see what that has to do with L.C. here. This guy has brilliant pop rock sensibilities. I hear lots of influences in his work which seem to erase any kind of racial "boundaries". Black, white, red, yellow, I don't care a lick. Simply brilliant musician! Thanks for making songs that make life more interesting. Your style is hopeful but not naively so. Bravo!

Yeah, Black Americans may have started rock,But, the majority of blacks now have strayed.Most of them now think that reading the instructions and programming a drum machine makes them a musician.Or spitting rhymes into a mic makes them musician.
You don't see many black kids taking music lessons these day's.That's what I meant.

if you are getting this from a TV screen, then just know that the box lies alot. Because I know black people that still take music lessons and black musicians that play guitar and other instruments. THe emergence of hiphop did make producing alot easier, especially for the people in the projects, who couldn't afford music lessons or real musical instruments. but who gives a flying squat, this is great music.

also, I would like to add that producing doesn't just take a drum machine these days, especially with the sampling controversy. You'll find in some hiphop records, guitar loops, and bass solos. So, to say that hiphop musicians, aren't musicians, is pretty stupid, just because they don't play in a live band.
