the VMAs 'suck' every year, it's a ridiculously amercianised false event that nobody that listens to interesting music cares about. i'm just glad russell brand, one of the best british comics (bar ricky gervais) went in and shook things up a bit (eg. the comment about bush was essential - would an american host get up and say that?). hopefully most of american got him, ofcourse there will always be a few thick ones like yourself that will miss the point.

we think they're silly but i guess they're just used to their own broadcasting guidelines, its the governments fault. we're lucky in that our guidelines are relatively relaxed. for example you can say "cunt" on most channels after 9pm but i doubt you can say it on american tv.
