I have a computer just like that its so crapy its screen dosnt work so i have to use a big moniter its batteys are dead so it always needs to be pluged in its Hungaryin but thats ok because im hungaryin to and the internet dosnt work and the moniter dosnt always work with the laptop and it didnt have that finger sliding thing but it had the red dot the good thing is it can play a old game calle curse of monkey island

Best laptop I've owned. It is a little under the Sony Viao (but that's a super laptop really. No need to compare). I remember I broke this because I was mad that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix wouldn't play so I threw nunchucks at it. lol

Excuse me, but how do you charge the battery because I plugged in the charger and I turned on the laptop and it said "critical low battery". I left it in over night and it didn't charge. Please help.

@MrDittoDitto must be something wrong with your charger then. It should charge the computer when it's in, both if the computer is off or on.

@mikkab25 it's called a track point and you use it to move your mouse around. really convenient when you need to use a lot of mouse movement even though you have the touchpad. just makes it easier to get around.

I got this laptop about a week ago, does pretty good, great mobility and the battery life is okay. The gaming graphics are not very good, I know this is a business laptop so I won't complain. The only thing i have to actually complain about is that the usb ports are on the left side, instead of the right. If you travel a lot and are in the business industry, I suggest you get this laptop.

lol i have this exact computer, its a little underpowered under windows 7, will soon be replacing it with a macbook pro. its been the best for 4 years heavy use, no serious issues at all that can't be attributed to me. Macbook pro is the only computer on the market now to have the same awesome build quality of these earlier model t- series thinkpads

Why does everyone look for style in a laptop? With HP and all those other moronic computer companies, you are only paying for the brand and the useless "style" of the case, not performance. With any IBM computer or system, you are making a great choice in performance and reliability. I have a IBM ThinkPad T22 that I use for the Rescue Squad and I can't tell you how many times I have dropped it, and it still works! (BTW, we are talking about a drop from the dashboard of an ambulance to the road.

I have a Compaq armada 1750 Mine has A built in Mic but every time I use the Sound recording progam I hit the record button and after when i'm done recording I play it back nothing no sound I checked the volume control the microphone volume was turned up and un muted I used an air spray to blow the dirt out and tryed it agian still nothing Can anyone help me?
