  • spanish is such a beautiful language, but its hard to remember all these words in my little brain.

  • Asi Asi is not the correct way of saying "so so". Asi asi is a literal and incorrect translation of the French expression "comme ci, comme ca".

The correct way of saying it is: "mas o menos".

  • ola me llamo doce doce uno estas ito eres once doce once doce el perquito

i learnd spanish im a pro

  • this video helped a lot i am in a class called spanish immersion and most of my teachers speak fluent spanish to us i understood some things a lot more from this video thx a lot......

  • Come on lamas ? Eat your food ! Eat your food !

  • You should watch my video, educational and really funny!

  • Thanks! I'm teaching myself to speak this beautiful language and am finding your videos very helpful.

  • Thank you so much! Found it!

  • Awesome

  • Very nice! I do have HUGE request. Would you please explain to everyone how the names like "Gomez", "Cortez" and "Lopez" should be pronounced. Hell even Jen doesn't know how to pronounce her last name either. Come to think of it, she can't dance, sing or act either.

  • @jetscan2nl

I'm a little confused. How does Jennifer López not know how her last name should be pronounced? She's Puerto Rican and speaks Spanish.

  • @tontitofrito Well, she pronounces the last part "pez" like "pes" as in "pesticide", where in fact the correct pronunciation should be "pis" like, well you know :-))

So, even if she is from PR and speaks Spanish, the fact is she still doesn't know how to pronounce her last name.

One of the languages I learned in High School in South America, was Spanish. My sports instructor is from Spain and a friend of mine is from Argentina. Taking a refresh course "Spanish" these days :-))

  • thanks alot... I'm a beginner learner and will be checking your videos regularly... Rana

  • 2:18 "eeeeer!" . O_O

    The fuh . . . ?

  • You say okay a lot . Just sayin .

  • Cant roll my rs

  • I really like ur lessons, keep up buddy,

    Sultan

  • Very useful and helphul. Thanks. You are an amazing language instructor!! Hasta luego! :)

  • I just wanna know what my neighbors are saying. Kinda rude to talk and look at somebody because you know they don't know what your saying.

  • My native language is spanish, so you can contact me if you want to practice and improve your skills in conversation. I'm interested in practicing my english. Feel free to write to me, and include your e-mail if you want me to keep in touch.

    Best wishes,

    Jany

  • @Janya7 e a mi tambien, que pueda escribirse por email para practicar espanol?

  • gracias

  • No really the sound LL is the same as J for example como the jamas ( the sound of the english J) is not Y at all not in a million years because when children learn the alphabet they learn that every single letter has its own sound so if you say como te yamas is going to be really confusing

  • awesome.....thanks

  • Thank you! :)

  • I like it - thanks!

  • can you do a vid, on how to pick up chicks. i really want a chick with culture lol.

  • Is Not 'asi asi' So So Is Mas O Menos ;) Im Latin and I Know English ! ;)

  • So así así is not commonly used. So much for my high school/college spanish classes. Maybe it's used more in Spain?

  • You don't pronounce it well :/

  • Comment removed

  • hasta la vista baby..

buen video pa ayudar a los gringitos

jaja yo se su idioma y uds no el mio jaja..

  • how come we are not teaching english.. wouldn't that be easier..maby i should just fake it like i dont know English..and speak spanish..lol

  • hey not bad i almost learned something..well done..

  • This is kinda like French, with some of the pronunciation..

  • Why is a white guy teaching me spanish

  • what does comote de say mean

  • i love Spanish it should b quite easy for me because i am Portuguese =D

  • tengo una lata de guisantes

  • this is really weird

  • Correction: fuimos is used only in the perfect.

  • @shachnem Even though I know some Spanish and its grammar, believe me it's not easy like the English terminology. In spanish, there are two different ways of saying something in the past tense. Por ejemplo, nosotros fuimos a la tienda (We went to the store) y nosotros ibamos a la tienda (We used to go to the store). Fuimos is only used on the imperfect and ibamos in the imperfect. Pretty confusing and complex isn't??? (Spanish is much more complex than this btw)

  • I'm spanish and I like very much this video, because it makes me realise the type of difficulty have people who normally don't speak spanish, and it's funny and very intesresting! It's another point of view. :)

  • Porque Ahora no me puedes entender lo que estoy deciendo Mej or no digo nada -.-

  • Si,

  • he only mentions to use the tu form, but i think it would help people if they also learned the usted as well (parents are native speakers). At least when people attempt to use this video to learn they can learn how to speak correctly to certain people (usted is used for like elderly people, people showing respect to and such) i don't know i was simply thinking don't take it as a bad comment please other than that the video was great and it was very accurate, nice job =)

  • I am Spanish, from Madrid.

I love how people likes to learn this beautiful language :D

  • so so = mas o menos

    asi asi, es feo :)

  • So if I said igualmente to a person in spain it would be perfectly fine?

  • Simple and very informative.

  • ! Muy utìl ¡

  • Online translators are terrible. Mucho gusto indeed means nice to meet you.

  • 2:47 Lol i thought that Gracias.

  • omg. I felt like I really learned some Spanish. wohoo! gracias y Hasta luego <3

  • Ur a great teacher

  • only thing i can say on spanish is ME GUSTA (thank you memebase)

  • You are a very good teacher.

  • Spain = Europe (the same culture as France, Portugal and Italy, dont forget this... that the americans think that Spain have the same culture as Mexico...)

  • I've been lookin for a fun and effective spanish lesson. Think I found it.

I'll see how helpful it is.

  • This guy has some great videos that i have used in my Spanish classes.

  • HILARIOUS but very helpful.

  • Lol your funny :p what i like about spanish that you have the letter J its pronounced as in arabic !! But i noticed the english speakers have problems with it

  • @chaoswack why would you trust translators? they suck

  • Just so u know this is mostly latin American spanish.. so go to Spain and they'll be like "wtf" from time to time...

  • mucho gusto means BE HAPPY in google translate not nice to meet you !!!!!!

    wat the hell ???

  • @chaoswack

Online translators aren't always very reliable.

  • @tontitofrito Es verdad maestro!

  • Comment removed

  • @chaoswack dude, Spanish is different everywhere

my mom is from El Salvador, her spanish is different from Mexico's spanish, which is different from Spain's spanish

  • @chaoswack It really means "nice 2 meet you" I'm a Spanish speaker and I can validate that... Online translators suck!!!

  • Responder a este vídeo... Hey man! You were such a big help in my classroom when I was teaching Spanish @ Myrtle Beach HS!!! Good job man!!!

  • @chaoswack Im a spanish talker. Im form México. "Nice to meed you" means "Gusto en conocerte" or "Mucho gusto". Be Happy would be "sé Feliz"

  • @chaoswack some words have multiple meanings, you know that right?? Such as ''right'' it can be left and right or wrong and right.

  • @chaoswack

After I've translated mucho gusto into Russian and then in English it turned up to something like I'm pleased or my pleasure :)

  • Grammar doesn't look easy. I couldn't find 'llamas' in dictionary at first (llama was flame). Then I realized it is one of the llamarse 'forms'.It will be more difficult to learn Spanish than English. :(

  • @chaoswack google is retarded it seriously does mean verry happy im in spanish

  • @chaoswack I'm spanish. That translation is pure bullshit hahahaha. Mucho gusto is only used to say "a pleasure tu meet you"

  • @chaoswack Lol/I am using google translate to red spanish things right now

  • @chaoswack be happy = sé feliz

  • @allukita

de hecho, sí lleva el acento ortográfico cuando es el mandato familiar de "ser" para distinguirlo del pronombre reflexivo = se

  • @tontitofrito Oh!! es verdad, muchas gracias por corregirme, eres genial y tus videos son los mejores que existen.

    Feliz Nanidad :)

  • No decimos asi-asi, 0:18 decimos más o menos.

We don't say asi-asi, we say más o menos

  • So i recently met these absurdly hot spanish chicks and now im in a mental rush to learn spanish..... you're videos are about to become my life

  • es español pero lo acentuas mucho ahora entiendo que mis maestros de ingles suenan ridiculos si los escucha un hablante americano

  • Escuse me senior Jordan, is there a way I can download the lessons porfavor?

I really need to practice and dont have internet at home.

  • Como***

  • Estoy usando sus vídeos para ensenar español a mi hijo, que esta en primero primaria. Me encantaría si es posible sus lecciones con un poco de animación ejemplo usando figuras o con animación, bueno es un consejo, pues creo que eso ayudaría muchísimo no solo a ninos. y lo felicito sus vídeos son fabulosos. desde Australia un fuerte saludo.

  • Me encantan tus videos! Muchas gracias..

  • 46 people are lazy

  • @TravisTouchdown7 Yes, that's why Spanish is the third language in the world, spoken by more than 500 million people, only behind Chinese and English.

  • @910tobe but it sounds like shit

  • @TravisTouchdown7 Whatever, troll

  • This video is really nice! As a Spanish speaking person I also recommend this FANTASTIC video:

    /watch?v=noLa1Qtk2wQ

    Enjoy! :D

  • Very helpful!!!! Thank you for posting Spanish lessons for free.

  • is it weird that i live and flordia and go to a normal school and half of the kids speak spanish and i want to learn too? im 12... please respond back

  • can you make a video on spanish verb agree meant

  • i really like the way you teach the salutations in spanish. I just love it. The more i practice , the more i begin to be comfortable with it.

    vrncfreimuth

  • Su voz es muy molesto

  • I'm from Brazil! Thanks for your videos, I chose to learn Spanish by videos in English teaching Spanish than Portuguese to Spanish because it's really similar one another and I could make some mistakes like "fiesta" (Spanish) "festa" (Portuguese)

    or "más" (Spanish) "mais" (Portuguese)

  • @ThiSwaGisBacKing I'm Spanish, and that's the problem I find when trying to learn portuguese or italian; they have so similar words and structures that sometimes you don't know if you're saying it right or wrong. A total different language is much easier to learn, as you can not get confused.

  • Thank You so much! Now I can speak with my neighbors!

  • Thanks, i want to be a border patrol but first i need to know basic spanish. Thanks for the vids.

  • @SpamZoid Hahah youre sooo American x)

  • thank you so much!! :D

  • Thank you so much for making this series, I find it alot easier to learn if I can relate to the teacher. You are AWESOME!!

  • muchas gracias sr. jordan..esta video es muy interesante

  • Awesome thanx dude :)

  • Está muy bien explicado. Felicitaciones desde Barcelona! =)

  • Great

  • wow thanks ! i wanna learn how to speak spanish !!

  • I wouldn't have taken Spanish if I would have found you on here earlier... Your videos are awesome!!

  • please make more video...on making sentence

  • Mrs.Lynch!!!

  • I´ve heard a lot of peple saying "asi asi", especially in Latina America. I know because I´m a native speaker of Spanish.

  • I'm Costa Rican and he surely isn't a native speaker.

  • very good

  • SO TU MEANS YOU CORRECT? THEN WHY DO THEY USE TI SOMETIMES? FOR EXAMPLE "DE TI"? WHY?!!!

  • @VanMedia Tu is the subject- the friend who is doing the action. An example: Carlos, ¿ Cómo estás?. While , when you use "de ti" , "de" is a preposition and "ti" is the personal preposition. An example would be when we say: de ti para mi (from you to me) or de mi para ti (from me to you). When you need to have an action go to someone such as : no quiero saber de ti =don't want to know of you.

Use after para, a, and de:

    mí ti/él/ ella / usted

    nosotros/-as/

    vosotros/-as/

    ellos/ ellas / ustedes.

  • @castellano4U wow thanks alot man, that cleared up everything.

  • ...solo algo no me gusto, "asi-asi" ¿de donde sacaste eso? nadie dice asi. But good video. Me llamo es xD, o pueden usar Mi nombre es...

    Greetings from Colombia

  • I love watching all the lessons you have done. I am taking an elementary Spanish class at college and I am learning more by watching your lessons than by using the MySpanishLab. Thanks so much!

  • very very helpful!!! thanks

  • very helpful..hasta luego sr.jordan! gracias!

  • "So-so" works better as "Mas o menos"

  • Thank you!!!!

  • I think you did a great job! I was a Spanish major myself. I think it is great for students to learn and practice titles like Señor, Señorita, Don y Doña. Thanks a lot!

  • I want to be a latino gangster.

  • I'm delighted with your easy-going, clear instruction. If I don't quite recall everything you have taught in a lesson, I can just re-play the video! That takes away much of the anxiety about learning the new language, and I thank you.

  • quen é voocee feeientoo? traduct this please

  • @houssamaabdi

    looks like portuguese

  • @tontitofrito

    are you sure ?

  • @houssamaabdi

I'm sure it's not Spanish... and it looks like Portuguese to me.... but I could be wrong

  • @tontitofrito Es portugués.

  • @tontitofrito is psanish, i´m spanish

  • @tontitofrito jijij es español ;) yo hablo español

  • Responder a este vídeo... el portugués y el español suenan muy parecido, pero es español.

  • @tontitofrito i speak spanish and that's portuguese

  • @tontitofrito

    @houssamaabdi

    you wrote it phonetically?

maybe it was "Quien er... ..Lo siento" you'd heard?

  • Comment removed

  • @tontitofrito is spanish, because i´m spanish

  • spanish. Im argentine. Perfect lesson. Good luck with your apprenticeship

  • @houssamaabdi Google Translate detects it as french. But sometimes it detects stuff wrong. The way it's written to me seems portuguese or french.

  • @houssamaabdi that does't make sense, the 3 first words are Portuguese, ( what is) (voce = YOU) but the last word is incorrect in portuguese.

  • @houssamaabdi that does't make sense, the 3 first words are Portuguese, ( what is) (voce = YOU) but the last word is incorrect in portuguese.

  • @houssamaabdi That is Galician, a language native to the north of Spain. The last part, feiento, is slang, and I do not understand it. The other part, quen e voce, means who speaks.

  • @houssamaabdi it translates to who r u "ugly"?

  • @houssamaabdi It means "who are yooouuu, ugggllly guy?" in portuguese

  • tu eres comico amigo
