Has anyone noticed this ? Why is thomas providing connecting service at wellsworth? The only connections to the mainline from his branchline are at knapford junction and elsbridge. Why isnt a surbaban train doing the sevice?
I love this episode its one of my favourites but ive just notice at 3:02 when edward crosses the bridge the brake coach at the back doesn't clear the shot and you can see it slightly...i know thats me being daft coz I still love it....
On the express coaches, one side has small windows while the other side has large windows. I think the reason over their unusual design is because they are compartment coaches. Unlike regular coaches, these were made up of separate compartments with no connecting hallway. Instead, each compartment had its own set of doors. Once they were very common in Britain and Europe, but since movement between the carriages was so restricted, they declined in use when coaches with hallways were introduced.
They're based on Maunsell Southern Railway corridor stock. The big windows are on the corridor side, and on the small window side you can see the doors flanked by two windows, and even the lavatory windows at the ends. They don't have interconnecting end gangways in the videos. The carriages they modelled were all brake thirds and first/third composites. So, separate compartments is right, although there is a corridor in these, just not out of them!
yeah i thought they were going to make a whistles and sneezes vhs. episodes: whistles and sneezes ,saved from scrap, a new friend for thomas, berties chase, percy and the signal, donald and douglas, and thomas's xmas party. told by ringo starr for america. (i only thought)
@ 0:13 ringo is singing again
