I grew up in this area of wyoming and the majority of truckers that crashed near my exit (mile marker150/Table Rock Road) were from Texas.) And 80% of those crashes were fatalities. The irony is, I moved to Texas and got my CDL. Here's a secret.... SLOW THE FUCK DOWN!!!!
lol these roads have almost killed me a few times, weather turned nasty on me comin around a moutainside looked down 2 turn on four wheel looked up and a semi was bein thrown at me,one of those moments when u say oh shit this gonna hurt
Ya, i've lived in and around Rock Springs all my life. Sad to say this type of stuff happens almost every season. Black ice and strong winds make this a not so unfamiliar site. Not to pick on ya at all but people rubber necking accidents usually cause more lol
I have lived here for 20 years... and still love the Wyoming Winters, just ppl not used to driving on the roads and all the black ice... But God Bless Wyoming.... Safe travels
@HammerLaneVideos Nebraska can be just as bad in the winteras i recall i was out side drinking my coffee and haveing a smoke at -30 with - 45 with wind gusts. long story short frost bite dint enjoy my smoke and coffee became an iced coffee. but all in all good country wyoming and nebraska my dads from fort bridger and me im from scottsbluff nebraska.
I just drove fast for the camera shots to make it more exciting. The rest of the time I went with the flow of the traffic. Thanks for your concern berrie
@HammerLaneVideos All these wrecks. We gotta learn to slow down, drivers. Im being a hypocrit because Ive sped down snowy roads among other roads. But, to be fair, usually when a tractor trailer is at fault in an accident, it usually ends up like this usally with no one else hurt. Ohterwise, it's always these stupid little assholes in their tiny litttle cars and pick ups and they wind up gettin badly injured or killed beacuse they want to go to the mall or walmart.
It was passable. I just had to take it easy, slow it down & hold it steady. Wasn't exactly what I'd call fun tho. I was going up this one hill & felt my wheels start losing traction twice, so that I got that "OH SHIT!" feeling. I had to drop my speed down about 20 mph then I was okay to the top. Having an empty trailer didn't help any either. Whoopsydaisy!
I kinda wanted to be at home in my jammy's that day too, but at the same time I was happy about getting some interesting video footage. It was a stressful drive tho no doubt about it. Thanks for stoppin by gdiesels.
