  • Do they wear military uniforms when they are engaged in fighting? They have no protections, waterboard them!! If they start putting uniforms on the babies and women they send in as suicide bombers, they get Geneva convention protections.

  • here is the principal behind brainwashing... they are "terrorists" which makes them less human and give us the right to drowned them like a rat... hmm... Zieg Hiel military intelligence...hmm...

  • here is the principal behind brainwashing... they are "terrorists" which makes them less human and give us the right to drowned them like a rat... hmm... Zieg Hiel

  • Amanpour has a cunt the size of all 22 Muslim countries she worships.

I say YES to torture on Jihadist pieces of shit. Waterboard them, beat them, rape them, whip them and burn them. What does it matter how an America-hating terrorist feels. They want to torture us, let's torture them.

Before we beat them, I would like to play USA country music to increase their misery and suffering. It will soothe the torturer's nerves before he dips their faces in battery acid.

  • Of course waterboardiing is torture, that's why it is used!

But so is homosexual rape and beating, which is the bread and butter of the American justice system! If this is okay for our own citizens, then why not for foreigners and members of inferior races?

  • I wonder if Thiessen is related to Fritz Thiessen who financed Hitler's rise to power and was the business partner of George W's grandfather Prescott? Is that how he came to work for Bush through his father's Nazi connections?

  • "The vague term "Terrorism" has been augmented to include anyone who is against Globalism.

  • CNN is Magnificent Propaganda

  • look thiessen, waterboarding is bullshit putting someones head in water is fuckin up the brain especially making the blood in the brain fuck up and changing this reaction rate of a person and weakens them its stupid also because of the immoral idocracy of who the hell would do that shit?

  • Thiessen has a small weiner.

  • Waterboarding Americans is wrong but others is OK? What an idiotic, racist statement.

  • hilarious. Love how Felipe avoids and laughs off the question. Covenient to laugh because the attacks were twarted -yes by teh Bush administartion. Wouldn't be so funny if the planned attacks succeeded.

  • If waterboarding is not torture and therefore illegal in the US, then why did the CIA find it necessary to destroy video of its use? If that video was released, then there would be no argument as to whether or not it constitute torture in the eyes of the American public. Thiessen is a rank fool

  • Also, Sands' last comment, first, was a lie. London was attacked on July 7th, 2005 by men who were unknown to British authorities. (I wonder if the attack could have been stopped if they were using enhanced interrogation) Secondly, the British government makes concessions to the Sharia's all the time. Lastly England is not the central focus of the Jihadi's America is. THOSE are the reasons why Britain has seen fewer attacks, not waterboarding.

  • Thiessen OWNED Sands and Amanpour and exposed them as the mental midgets that they are. These two are HARDCORE leftists who wish to sacrifice American lives in order to protect and convey rights to terrorists. They understand all of Thiessen's points without him even having to explain them and they choose to oppose intelligence gathering to the detriment of America. Their attitudes offend me and and if they had any dignity they would be ashamed of themselves, but what do you expect from the left

  • Waterboarding is no more torture than the fraternity hazing that went on at Abu Graib. These liberal news types are fighting against our military and all that it does to keep us safe. Amanpour is lead around by some dipshit in Cambodia and get smoke pumped up her ass and regurgitates it as fact. Her idea of waterboarding is way off base. She's always been in bed with the lefties, doesn't matter what continent she's on. Thiessen ate her lunch. She looked stupid and uninformed. Typical CNN

  • Good input. Amanpour is a jackass. I have a lot of respect for Thiessen.

  • You can really hear the anger in Thiessen's voice. He's pretty brave for going on there.

  • @crossbow1944 I would be shocked if you even know where Cambodia is...as a matter of fact, your moral bearing is so fucked up I doubt you would even be able to find it on a map! You make me ashamed to be an American!

  • Look at that Mr. Television at 1:00 and 1:13, he's totally busted, dumbfounded, has nothing to say. Because he knows it's complete bullshit. I'll have to award this round to Common sense AKA Thiessen.

  • Why are Liberals Always on the side of Islamic Extremists ?

  • Amanpour is way over her head in this interview. Dont they do any research before their shows? CNN is doing so poorly in the ratings that they probably cant afford research. This Phillippe guy is a total elitist/ academic with nothing but conjecture to offer. Mark T. delivered in this one - great job exposing these apologists pansies for what/ who they really are. Facts..........................................they work every time.

  • what a crusty squack

  • DO WE NOT TRAIN OUR TROOPS TO WITHSTAND WATERBOARDING?

Social Justice from liberals is about selectively and subjectively deciding what is and isn't about life regarding right/wrong

  • Amanpour is a joke. I stopped watching her when her bias became too painful to watch. I really enjoyed watching Marc Thiessen spank her. After watching the video, I ordered his book on Amazon.

Incidentally, ANYONE wonder which party Amanpour votes for? It shouldn't be obvious for someone in the news, but in her case it is painfully so. When CNN gets some unbiased anchors maybe I'll return as a viewer.

    Carlos

  • Phillip is lost on a large cushy sofa called academia without any 'Practical" knowledge other than textbook bullshit- Amanpour needs to be water boarded for sheer sport!

  • You're going to love this one, the OK City bombers couldn't make a functioning bomb until Nichols I believe visited the Phillipines the same time Ramzi Yousef's cell was there planning attacks.

  • Amanpour is a retard. 'Nuff said. I can't believe any sane person actually thinks she's a journalist. The INSANE partisan bias emanating from that hellion is painfully obvious - she's probably the MAIN reason CNN is tanking in the ratings. People are increasingly tuning out their pathetic shilling for the Democrat Party, for America's enemies, and for terrorists. These people need to be deported; they make me sick.

  • Ok last response I think - this is such a waste of time - and it seems that it has attracted all the islamophobic morons out there.

I can totally understand why someone would want to do harm on some of you crazies. I think you should all be required to try being the recipient of waterboarding. Lets see you change your tune then.

    Crazy people. (shaking head)

  • What do you call a man that gets fired from his job and comes back the next day and shoots up his former place of employment?

A TERRORIST... Not matter what you are or what your religion is... If you go around killing for your own personal agenda your a TERRORIST

What do you call the Oklahoma city bombing?

    A ACT OF TERROR

TERRORISM IS NOT JUST IN THE MIDDLE EAST... IT'S EVERYWHERE TIME TO WAKE UP PEOPLE AND SEE THE TRUTH FOR WHAT IT IS.

  • @LooKC grammer check Does NOT MATTER

  • Fucking Amanpour.....Do you work for Al-Qaida, Christiane????

  • LOL I can't fucking believe people have some fake compassion for some TERRORISTS that KILL CIVILIANS(MUSLIMS and NON MUSLIMS) . The terrorists waterboarded haven't lost any part of their body and don't even have a scratch. Water boarding is simply what stopped many attacks, and it probably will stop many more in the future. ( DUH THAT'S WHY OBAMA NOTICED THAT A BIT LATE, AND GUANTANAMO IS STILL OPEN)

  • Mark Thiessen is right on!! ....and Gitmo should stay open.

  • Anybody able to back up or disprove his argument about the Geneva Convention?

  • This guy should be waterboarded and then allowed to reassess his position. How does waterboarding get filed under the category of harsh interrogation and not torture? and why does this man think it's okay to waterboard, so long as the person is an not an American?? seriously!

  • He should have it done on CNN so we can all watch him experience it.

  • what this guy is saying is that waterboarding IS NOT THE SAME as the torture in S-21, which wasnt simulated drowning but ACTUAL DROWNING

amanpour said that America did like they did in S-21. that's a lie. either that or the bitch is stupid

  • i love how the leftist rate down my comments en masse rather than replying to them and proving them wrong

what's that? they can't show anything I've posted here to be incorrect or inaccurate? so they have to resort to virtually shouting me down?

    sounds like a typical leftist!

  • One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter ... also ... Are all the people of Iceland Terrorists ? can they all be waterboarding ... What a fucking douchebag

  • This guy is SOOOOO full of shit!

  • Obama = Epic Fail

  • and you are probably to compared to obama.

or have you also been a president of a country?

  • lol, cuz no ones allowed to judge the president unless they themselves have been president? so what was with you lefties during bushs presidency?

man you guy have some inconsistent norms

  • no, im saying that he has accomplised a lot in his life, more then most, so it's pretty hard to say he is an epic failure.

so you're part of the bush comment doesnt realy relate to my answer.

personaly, i have very consistent norms. i cant speak for the rest of the americans, but then again, im not american.

  • he has accomplished alot? like what? has he organized a hundred communities?

besides, the person you were responding to was talking about him beign a failure as president, so all you did in your answer to him was set up and then knock down a straw man

  • what you said was "have you been president of a country" as if you're implying that one cannot criticize unless one has walked in hsi exact shoes. So you most definitely were insuinuating that, and not talking about his life outside of the presidency.

  • he became president, that is accomplising a lot.

and it appears you even know better then myself what i meant to say, so i guess there is no need for further conversation.

  • lol so I shouldnt criticize him because he became president? what a stupid fucking position to take

  • that's not at all what im saying. you can critise the president all you want. im just saying that obama the person is not an 'epic fail'. if you misinterpret my words and think to interpret them better then the person who wrote them, then you are also pretty amazing. like obama :)

  • lol alright my bad, you got a point.

so how's he not an epic failure, at least as a president? what campaign promises has he kept? what part of his agenda has he successfully passed?

  • the main problem (i think) is that he wanted to much to soon. change is OK, but to much change doesn't fly with a lot of people.

in the beginning i was for hilary because i didn't think obama knew how politics works. hilary had more experience. mabey his lack of exp made him want to much to fast. But obama has a good vision, and is an inspiring leader and most important, he is not afraid to make the nescesary desicions, even if they hurt his popularity. so i now think he is a good leader.

  • Obama is a douchebag moron. He is WORSE than Jimmy Carter.

  • @stijnhaki

nope, but I'm sure we could find vegetables that would do a better job then Obama

  • I don't believe we should be in Afghanistan or Iraq, however we are screwed if our government and these liberals want to treat terrorists like they commited petty theft or jaywalking.

  • agreed and fuck the people rating you down

  • Is this Glen Becks brother?

  • Christian Taliban

    nuff said...

  • Indeed

  • lol please give me a number of victims caused by Christian terrorism in the past 10 years.

meanwhile you hear about muslims setting off bombs and killing people in the name of their faith every day (whether in palestine or egypt or algeria or yemen or chechnya or afghanistan or iraq or pakistan or malaysia or the philippines or thailand or america)

but yeah, it's all the same

  • Wait... gee let me think. Uhm.. crusades? Spanish inquisition? Timothy McVeigh? Ku Klux Klan... shall I go on?

  • 1: timothy mcveigh was an atheist

2: crusades, while abhorrent, were a response to 3 centuries of unchecked islamic aggresion that resulted in the violent subjugation of christian north africa (the maghreb), the levant, anatolia, zoroastrian persia and eventually hindu asia.

3: the kkk hasnt been active for 40 years, more people are killed by jihadists every day than by the kkk in 4 decades

4:more people are killed by jihadis each year than in all 350 yrs of the spanish inquisition combined.

  • goddamn a simple google or wikipedia search (" wiki "timothy_mcveigh#Political_and_religious_views", "muslim_conquests", "Spanish_inquisition#Outcomes", and "Ku_Klux_Klan#Since_the_1970s" (my mistake, it's been 30 years)

but yes, please go on. are you going to bring up the couple dozen abortion murders in the past 3 decades as if that somehow evens the score with islams almost 15000 violent jihadi attacks just since 911,which killed 1/5 of the maximum casualty estimate of the span inq. in a day

  • Comment removed

  • hey left wingers, isntead of rating this comment down how about you demonstrate how im wrong?

you fucking pussies cant, and you know it. you are a bunch of intellectually bankrupt fools.

Come on! demonstrate to me how I am wrong! I fucking dare you

  • The Crusades and the Inquisition were not terrorism. You can't just take anything undesirable and call it "terrorism." The former were a coalition of European armies out to retake land which was taken from them and the latter was the Spanish govt interrogating and torturing people they thought to be dissident Christians/latent Protestants. McVeigh was not inspired by the Bible to the best of my knowledge. The KKK did occasionally refer to it so you may have a small point there.

  • @FoxifiedNutjob

My goodness lefties are so incompetent.

  • A "practicing Democracy" that believes in Torture? WTF? Shame on you America. Shame on your justice system, shame on the idiots in your government and shame on each citizen that does nothing to stop it.

If you can justify torturing any person, then you can justify torturing any person.

  • So you don't see any difference between a terrorist who wants to kill innocent people and a law abiding citizen? Keeping someone locked in a tiny cell for life is also tortue, should we release all prisoners too?

  • @roseagain2

    good point

  • @FoxifiedNutjob

You're retarded. Common sense allows people like me to discern. It is a sheep such as yourself that can only understand extremes.

  • Terrorists are beneath animals. Don't torture them; Kill them ALL!

  • nnjahansen;

How many innocent civilians are at Guantanamo? Exactly...our government had the bright idea of paying Afghans that would give information that could lead to a terrorist being captured. Many turned in innocent neighbors just for the money.

    We tortured innocent civilians....sad

  • To the best of my knowledge, none. All detainees at Gitmo have had their status reviewed by a military commission to determine if there was sufficient evidence to detain them.

None of the three terrorists who were waterboarded are innocent. How do I know, they said so.

  • @nnjhansen

Well, that says a lot about your best knowledge.

  • @ASeventhSign Yes it does, it is VERY good.

  • One of the most pointless arguements I've ever seen. Ever.

  • This guy is an IDIOT and a racist.

  • @ MrYoubrian... they do!

  • Amanpour shows a picture of the Khmer Rouge using water torture and thinks it's waterboarding--I guess because there's water involved. I stopped listening to her after that. She's like a kid who hasn't done her homework and tries to bluff her way through by just being louder.

  • 2 foreign born reporters make an American look fucking retarded....the Bush Administration continues to make us look ignorant.

  • We waterboard our troops to prepare them for torture.

CIA officers caught by any enemy should be tortured, according to right wing nuts, that is acceptable.

  • @ccf22p wow, excellent logic! i thought thesame

  • Prepare them for torture???

Why don't we break their fingers, burn them, put them on a rack too? That would prepare them for torture too, wouldn't it?

  • Here's the ultimate compliment to Mr. Thiessen:

I'm going to buy his book now as a result of seeing him in action on CNN.

  • The incredible thing is is that this enemy of the united states amanpour has been reporting on the international scene for years....polluting peoples minds with her anti jewish dribble.....FUCKING arab bitch , why doesnt someone cut her HEAD off like her compadres do

  • Christine Amanpour is a Terrorist and CNN is the terrorists network. If it is funded by ARABS , it is in the interests of the ARABs to subvert the populations of the WEST. Get rid of CNN and hangg AManpoor by her manballs on the lamppost in fromt of the CNN building

  • Would eva braun been allowed on CNN during world war 2? No, but christine amanpour, an enemy of the united states and a terrorist in her own right is allowed on american TV

  • Republican family values that they don't live by but want you to--

Don't commit adultery, Don't father children by adultery, Don't have sex in airport bathrooms, Don't sleep with 18 yr old boys who work for you, don't hire hookers, don't bribe Native Americans, don't drink and drive, don't fly to south America to cheat on your wife and then lie to your children........

And oh ya, waterboarding is not torture when you do it to someone else...

Some human beings have rights, others don't......

  • Con't.--

Evidently conservatives don't remember WHY we have the Geneva convention. Remember the Bataan Death March?

Terrorist could start grabbing American civilians in every country around the world tomorrow and suddenly call them "enemy combatants".This includes relief aid workers, priest, nurses, college students, charitable org. members, etc. And then you would know what torture really is.

The again, Republicans are used to making other people live by their rules when they don't. Con't.

  • Maybe you missed it but terrorists DO grab American civilians around the world and do far worse to them than waterboard them.

Watch the Daniel Pearl execution video is you doubt it.

  • Marc fucks up right at the beginning. He loses his argument in 1 sec.

For conservative who don't think waterboarding is torture because combatants are not protected by the Geneva Convention-

Why do we stop at waterboarding? Why don't we cut off fingers or ears or noses? After all they don't have rights so we can do whatever we want.

And if they have no protection under the convention then why don't we severely disfigure and maim children? After all, kids would give up quicker than an adults....

  • Try listening. He never claims that waterboarding is not torture because combatants are not protected by the Geneva Conventions. He claims that US troops are lawful combatants and cannot be coerced in any way, even those short of torture.

  • Marc is a fool. just trying to sell his book to wacko right wing nuts.

  • He fucking clobbered those fools. You're just a fucking idiot. Gonna cry, left wing whacko?

  • Children are innocent NOT women!

  • Mark for President.

  • Funny shit! He may as well have taken the heads of Amanpour and Phillipe and clunked them together. She got bled like a stuck pig with the blade of real facts.

  • THIS is why liberals and lefty democrats always lose the terror argument.

This guy and amanpour said that guantanamo bay should be closed cause it's used as a recruiting tool for terroists right?

So when pres.obama is dropping drones on terroists and killing them and their families...THAT"S NOT A RECRUITING TOOL?

So waterboarding a known terroist like KSM is immoral....But dropping a drone on a suspected terroist and his family in pakistan is a part of war?

  • It's only a crime because it was under Bush. Where are all the war protesters now??? Oh, I forgot, it's king Obumers war now, it's ok.

  • obumer?? do you listen to savage, if you do I salute you.

  • Mark Thiessen cleaned this bitches clock!!! Keep your heads shoved up labambas ass libtards.

  • terrorist LOVE obama

  • Amanpour pwnd!

  • Notice the left can not debate without resorting to insults. Rather than answer a question they know would prove them wrong, they start with the naive, immature, etc comments. I see this all the time. They dont listen, because they are too busy preaching to you. I think its hilarious that Christiane Amanpour doesnt even know what waterboaring is.

  • Eggzakly! Just look at thier faces when they hear the truth! How mant tortured terrorists were killed, maimed or disfigured by waterboarding? None!! Asshats the lot of them. Waterboarding is gay compared to what the enemy does. LoL! Britian doesn't torture anymore, Well it's a breeding ground for terrorists now partly because of it.

  • dont forget about how they rate all right wing comments down en masse lol

  • and as if to prove me right, this comment as been rated down. LOL

  • CNN's liberal elitists get totally friggin' pwned. Bravo, Mark. Bravo.

  • what the... did anyone else find this movie as sexy as I did?

  • Hah, hah. You're such a looser Mark. The host didn't do the best job of defending her position. What you don't want people to realize when you talk about sear training is, the point is to simulate torture. It shows them what it's like in a non lethal, non permanent way. Torture is more about the mind more than physical sensations. And the kicker that you probably never thought of is, Abu Zubeda probably thanked CIA because he knew what a good recruiting tool it would be for jihadists....

  • How naive to think this would be some extra special recruiting tool. Give your head a shake, terrorists will use anything to exploit as a recruiting tool. They also use the American lifestyle as a recruitment tool, should we make American woman cover their heads and stop Hollywood from making movies? ANYTHING can be manipulated and exploited to use to recruit brainwashed zombies into blowing themselves up, including a bunch of virgins in the afterlife.

  • I agree fully. Having shaken my head a little, I still think that we don't need to add to their recruiting arsenel, when Torture is largely considered ineffective by trained interregators and other persons outside of the government trying to justify itself ex post facto. American 'Debaucherry' may be used to recruite now in part, but no terrorist recurited 19 people to kill themselves based on American lifestyle alone. 'Torture' is not special as a recuruiting tool. Just one of the many.

  • That's BS..similar training in Canada is under high stress to simulate what it is like, IE increasing the chances of survival. It isn't a walk in the park.. it is full on meant to make you crack..

  • If you're referring to my comment, then I feel like you support my point. I'm not sure what the 'BS' intro is about. I didn't say that we shouldn't do that in training. I made no judgement on that whatsoever, and nor did I downplay it's severity. I just meant that the goal of torture is to make your mind 'crack' as you put it. It's not just about the physical pain. The unfortunate (for the govt.) result of that is that people will say anything at that point that they 'crack'.

  • @tracerbulletnpi its not sear training, it is SERE (survival, evasion, resistance and escape)

And second, stopping terrorist attacks should take precedence over theoretically creating a "recruiting" tool.

  • Ha ha. Ok. You got me. I've been out a while. Sorry if I offended you by not looking it up.

I agree with you on that stopping terrorist attacks takes presidence, but research points to torture being ineffective at stopping terrorist attacks. I believe research over a government trying to justify it's actions ex post facto...

  • I don't know what research your referring to, but the problem with torture is that it does work if you know what your doing (Mark Bowden wrote an article on torture that showed some of the techniques of Israel's Moussad). However, it is morally wrong and I oppose it for that reason. You can gather intelligence by building trust (sweet talking) with some prisoners, but that doesn't work on fanatics. You definitely need to give the CIA some tools (sleep deprivation, etc.) to work with.

  • I agree that it's morally wrong. But in addition, there are 3 possible outcomes from torture. 1. The guy resists, and doesn't talk. 2 The guy breaks down and tells you whatever you want to hear. 3 The guy breaks down and tells out the truth. The most frequently seen is situation 2, but you can't tell the difference between 2 and 3 so if you do happen on anything true, you have no way of knowing it. Ergo, it's fundamentally ineffective, and thus not worth it even if it was morally justified.

  • Which is why you have to know what you are doing. One way is to start off by asking for information you know, but they don't know that you know (if that makes sense). Then if they reveal the truth to you, then you slowly integrate questions pertaining to what you don't know. And you confirm this information with what other prisoners have told you. So again, if you know what you are doing, you can get effective intelligence from torture. Doesn't make it right, but you can.

  • well you can tell the difference between 2 and 3 by seeing if previous or other informations connect with the interrogation results.

  • Thiessen was not obfuscating. He was addressing the misinformation that is intentionally being distributed by the likes of Amanpour. She was actively misinforming in the current interview and does it as a matter of routine. It was Thiessen's intent to show her routines for what they are, which is completely apropo of the conversation.

  • What "misinformation" was that, exactly? Maybe you are unfamiliar with the term. Obfuscation means trying to confuse and misdirect.

Both Amanpour and Sands had to repeatedly steer Thiessen back to the subject.

At one point Thiessen actually produces passages from a story by Amannpour in an attempt to discredit her.

What did that have to do with his book?

He brought that onto the set with him to ambush her with in her own studio.

    What a creep!

  • "What a creep! "

Yup, what was he doing, reading his leftie host's words back to her as if she could be expected to defend them? Topsy turvy, this.

  • Comment removed

  • Dogstar said; "Another Chickenhawk who would use the Military as his rhetorical foil."

Dogstar, that could easily describe Obama, who was never in the Military, never supported the Military in any Legislation, and even voted Present when the Defense Bill was before Congress.

    Ratt, USN 71 -77 USS Forrestal CVA-59

  • @Ratturd3

The Office of the President of the United States is a civilian position in our form of government, as outlined in Article Two of the Constitution of the United States.

Do you have any spurious other claims against Barack Obama's legitimacy in office?

  • This form of attack is called obfuscation.

The subject is waterboarding under the Bush Administration. Yet several posters here have tried to shift the argument to everyone from Obama to FDR!

    Incredible!

  • Thiessen tried this himself in the interview and was called out for it more than once. Are you all shills?

  • Marc kicked ass.

  • Nice job, Marc.

She's an insufferable b*tch, and that Brit lawyer is an ass.

Gitmo as a recruiting tool is not a cause and effect argument that holds water. The Muj will always have a reason to want to kill us. It's been going on for 1400 years.

There was no Gitmo before 9/11.

These apologists think that somehow we can placate these religious perverts and lunatics which shows you how little they understand our enemy and how vulnerable listening to them makes us.

  • Thiessen destroyed Amanpour with her own statement. That was classic!

  • During World War Two we should have stopped doing things that made the Nazis mad because they used our attacks against them as a recruiting tool.

  • Well, if you can find a sovereign nation and dictator for us to kill to make it all stop, then I'm sure you'll be the one to point the military in the right direction. If not, then you had best find a better analogy : )

  • Marc's intellect and arguments soar over these twits.

  • It was a spirited debate with no clear victor until 0:59 when the anti waterboarding guy was asked if waterboarding our own solders was torture and all he could say was " I, I, I , Uh, I, Duh, Um, I, I, Er, Um". At that point the pro waterboard debater had won. Check and mate.

  • In high-school biology class we stimulated our frogs leg muscles with a dry cell battery. "The frog doesn't know it's dissected" That's the same feeling I get watching former Bush Lie-Writer, Marc Thiessen being held up through three rounds regulation boxing with two Oxford minds.

  • @dogstar7 Nuff said nothing jackass. I love the minority of veterans (which you claim to be but probably are not) who throw out the same line about how "if you haven't served, shut your mouth" has grown very tired. Obama hasn't served, so I guess he shouldn't be the Commander in Chief. FDR didn't either, and countless others. Come up with a real debating point because this one doesn't work unless you're arguing within your own liberal echo chamber

  • @drumuitar

Where do you get off calling me a "jackass'?

Do you feel so personally challenged by what I said about Mr. Thiessen that you are compelled to attack a stranger and make presumptions about my service?

Who the fuck do you think you are?

And what the fuck business do you have to defending Thiessen for?

  • This is what passes as a fairly moderated debate on MSNBC. The 'moderator' disputes every point the conservative tries to make, and tag-teams with the other guest to shout the conservative down.

When Mark lays out specific incidents and the info that stopped them, he got a non-responsive red-herring argument in return.

I know a Navy O-6 who went through SERE; it is VERY realistic training, and the kicker- Britain does it too!

  • You don't know sh!t,for starter your Amanpour is on CNN. Your so blinded by your ignorance and hatred you can't even think straight.

  • LOL. Thiessen pwned these two clowns.

  • @jymnmer

We also house, feed, and clothe the mentally ill. Apparently you guys have internet access too...

  • How many hundreds of millions have your country sent to Haiti?

  • "Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so." -----

Ronald Wilson Reagan, 40th President of the UNited States of America.

  • "It's true hard work never killed anybody, but I figure, why take the chance?"

"I am not worried about the deficit. It is big enough to take care of itself."

"Trees cause more pollution than automobiles."

Ronald Wilson Reagan, 40th President of the UNited States of America.

  • Yeah, there are whole lists of Reagan one liners if you search. Some were funny and some were not.

  • Excellent job, Marc.

  • Marc- US soldiers cant expect Geneva protections because AQ arent signatories, theyre not a nation-state. The flip-side of that is that THEY cant expect Geneva protections, either. To sum up succinctly: Long-term imprisonment? Recruiting tool! Waterboarding? Recruiting tool! Nation building/counterinsurgency? Recruiting tool! Alleged improper handling of Koran? Recruiting tool! This is simply lawfare and, while I cant know the motives of men like Mr. Sands, I can divine that theyre unfriendly.

  • I really can't stand AH-MON-POOOOOWAH

  • Britain was kept safe by actions in Gitmo. Britain, no disrespect intended, is not a world leader or representative of capitalism that the US is. It is not a high value target.

  • LOL, you Americans are so phucken stupid. Really, just sit down and let the adults do their jobs.

  • "Americans are phucken stupid" Biting insightful comment from someone not bright enough to refute an argument. Ouch.

  • You know so little about the world you live in its appalling. Like a small child who believes in the tooth fairy.

You display your ignorance for all to see and are so dumb you think the laughter you here is applause.

  • You're so dumb that you don't know the difference between here and hear.

  • You go Mark! Do you think they hear us YET?

  • The West has been targeted for who we are, (our lifestyle etc.) and not a specific action we've taken against the Islamic extremist. Said actions (Guantanamo Bay - Waterboarding) are just part of the "endless excuses" they use as propaganda for recruitment. At the end of the day no matter how we combat them, it's spun to fit their agenda. Liberals well never grasp this until they're personally attacked or ruled by a Caliphate dictator.

  • "How do you explain that there have been no attacks on the UK in the last five years?"

Mr. Famous British Person, google 7/7.

  • Not to mention the Heathrow plot which was foiled by the US interrogation program.
