The first Ice Age was definitely the best, I felt it had the most emotion and comedy. The second one was... okay, I like Ellie but Crash and Eddie were kinda obnoxious for my taste and I didn't care for that pointless scene with Sid and the mini-sloths. The third one was my second favorite cuz I love dinosaurs, Buck was a cool character and I was happy for Manny because he finally had a family of his own again :) Looking forward to #4.

Ice Age, the original, was the best of all three of the films. It had the best emotional impact (between the baby, baby's family, Manny's story, Diego's change of heart, and Sid...well, okay not so much him, there was just such a rush and an attachment that it's a travesty that they made more then this one ended so perfectly).

It'll be out in the summer of 2012, so yeah, I think the more depressing thing is that they're milking the series with more sequels, just like what they're doing with Alvin and the Chipmunks. I haven't seen the third one yet but I think it's bc I'm dreading to see it. I loved the first one, liked the second but what if I don't like the third.  After a while if the series keeps getting more movies, the later ones aren't really good. It happens a lot and i would hate it if that happened to the Ice age ones.

Ice Age 3 isn't really the worst sequel ever made, I'd recommend it to people who are fans of the first two films, but what it lacks is the emotional depth of the first. I know what you mean about sequels, personally I think the Ice Age series has a good run and it should end with the third.

This movie always makes me cry. I'm not a very big fan of computer animatated films because they always seem to lack story and emotion. However this one...It always makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and, yet leaves me in tears. This movie is brilliant, and so is this wounderful music!
