  • i really enjoy his work and all he famous black African american artist of today i will soon join this elite group one day

  • to really understand how shallow and unimpressive his art work is you need to be knowledgeable enough go beyond all that racial issue and flashy pop craps.

dont tell me you have to go in front of the real painting to really appreciate it, it is just an excuse. it doesnt hide the fact that he is conceptually empty and lacking of skill (skill really matters here since he claimed to be on the same line with those old masters). the art world is shadier than your simpleton would imagine.

  • defining afro american artist of today? what about kerry james marshall? what about treton doyle hancock and many others? just because this guy's work is as noisy as someone blasting music out loud doesnt mean it is anything significant to the history of art. learn a few things before you post, that include your knowledge in the technical aspect of painting and art history, please.

  • @popeyeisgood ...stfu.

  • @codeninja100

    is that all you got?

baking like this doesnt help you to elevate your low life. if you disagree with me, put it together intellectually and point out why you think differently, otherwise, you are just embarrassing your sorry ass.

  • barking*

  • @popeyeisgood sorry i have better things to do than to write a 500 character thesis on why I'm jealous of an artists success. I would rather just get to the point and tell you to shut the fuck up. Art is changing, Jeff koons is rich and a pretentious asshole, and Damien Hirst is rich and a pretentious asshole. So once again. stfu.

  • @codeninja100

you just contradict yourself by responding me. i explain my reason why i dislike kehinde's work and you accuse me for being jealous. now look at what you wrote" jeff koons is rich and a pretentious asshole', does it sound like that jealous bitch you are referring to ?kehinde is not pretentious? judging by your retarded photos i could tell that you are black and it sounds just about right for a averge iq(possibly below) african american to come out with nonsense like that.

  • first off i never mentioned anything after jeff koon or damien hirst ( i dont care about what they do anyway as they are below average artists in my point of view) you fine brain thinks that by putting up some white artists out there you can counter my argument. but in fact my original criticism has nothing to with the artist's old race and upbringing and such. it is about the quality of the work and the concept behind it.

  • mind you too, i am neither white nor black. but i see that typical reaction coming from you, just like everyone black man in the us like to claim obama as black. sigh...what a burden to carry.

if you dont have that intellectual capacity to exchange words you better do the thing you are better at, such as yelling ' stfu'

  • @popeyeisgood and secondly it never crossed my mind the fact that jeff koons and damien hirst, which are two of my favorite artists, were white, Which shows where your brain is at in this whole conversation. I was merely comparing the similarities in their work, which is that the conceptual idea behind it is weak, but its presence is loud like pop art. And you try to give off the facade that you are not racist, when you bring up barrack obama for no apparent reason. I'm a republican.

  • @popeyeisgood Really it doesn't? you contradict yourself by saying the average IQ of a black person is below average. You are possibly the most ridiculous piece of shit i have ever encountered. You say that it has nothing to do with his race but its about concept. You're telling me that a dumb asshole can put a rotting carcass in a box with flies, call it the circle of life, and its art? you're a fucking contradiction. Pitiful excuse and waste of human life.

  • there also homoerotic an show how masculinity is a performance and posturing

  • to really appreciate his work you must see it in person, he has a piece in my local museum and it is amazing the images appear to be 3Dt!!

  • wonderful!!!

  • one word, brilliant!

  • Great,thanks for posting.

  • staggering talent. a cornerstone of deep skill and elagance. One of the defining artists of our generation. The most prolific afro american artist in society today. Nothing more than sheer genius.
