Say what one will about this man but he was a fellow Cheesehead!! He NEVER forgot that Wisconsin is where things started for him. The man could make a piano talk!!
He looked like crap at the beginning of this video. That must have been right before he died. And, anyone who couldn't tell he was gay is blind and deaf.
this music is fabulous at 2:26!!!!! who is playing this? or what band? the in house orchestra at hilton? Is there a way to get this video of this show?
@GTBurns48215 - You are right Michael Jackson was inspired by Liberace. The only problem was Michael got a little to close with him and slept with Leberace's boyfriend, Scott Thorson.
Why is it that in the 80's all the homosexuals were turning up with HIV? I'm not implying that it was a homosexual disease or anything or that homosexuality was its origin but thats just interesting
@MsLoveMe27 The gay community from what I remember was smaller and closer knit (Less open). You would then statistically be more likely to have sex with someone then, with an infection. E.g. starting out with a population of 100 people on an island and 10000 people on another island, with 1 person infect on each island. The % of infected within the population rises quicker in the smaller group. Eventually both get to 100%, just the smaller group quicker. The hetro population would catch up...
a true entertainer! You always got the impression he enjoyed performing and no matter how flashy or ridiculous the theatrics were, you got the sense that it was okay to indulge in some silliness.
There is no doubt that this guy was the king of bling or showmanship. These rap artists were not the first to drive on stage with a car. Liberace was one of the first to do this.

Who was the world's greatest showman, a phenomenal musician, and, by all accounts, a very gracious gentleman? Liberace. Of course.

Interesting that the cause of his death was not mentioned--reflects the times that HIV was taboo----very sad....

Michael Jackson's life and the issues over his death in may ways resembled Liberace's. Liberace in someways probably was an inspiration to MJ.
