Thanks for the great dish, you are an angel... Just one question...can I use fresh pumpkin....do I need to cook the pumpkin before I put that in blender?
Yes, you could use fresh pumpkin, but it definitely needs to be cooked and pureed first (without the skin, seeds and other fibrous strings and seeds in pumpkins).
thanks so much for all the great recipes.. i recently turned vegan from vegetarian and love cooking, so it was really cool to see something like this. your gorgeous, keep it up!
Does anyone have the specific amts of each ingredient? And, what was the spice mentioned with the smoked chipotle powder? I didn't catch that. Thanks!
Wow! I make hummus in a similar way but never though of adding pumpkin. When I was in Germany I tried some fabulous paprika spread. The main ingredient was hulled sunflower seeds. Have you ever tried anything like that.
Interesting! Never thought of using pumpkin in my hummus recipe!

I simply don't understand your "tips". How is it better to put the garlic in later? If the rest gets mixed fine, then why wouldn't the garlic be?
I'd say the chance of the garlic mixing BEST is the more time it has in the mixer.

The recipe can be found on our website (everydaydish (dot)tv -just click on the recipes (right side of the page) and you can print it out.
It's a really nice hummus, kind of smoky tasting. It also makes a great appetizer.

Sounds like a delicious, yet different recipe to make. I'll try this one.
You didn't mention how much of each ingredient you are adding, except for the pinch of salt. Is that a whole can of beans? How much tahini?
