Goldfinches here also started getting their bright yellow plummage about 2 weeks ago. My neighbor across the street is getting most of them with a thistle feeder.
What a fantastic video to be able to see the water droplets on that cardinals feathers. Nice cloesups! Are those Goldfinches that yellow right now by you? The ones I see here don't have that much yellow on them yet. I saw some on Sunday and I could just see some yellow starting to show around the necks.

@seahue It amazes me how the feathers can turn like that and so quickly too! The Goldfinch and Cardinal are my favorite birds and I'm glad there here all year long! Hummingbirds are right up there also :-) can't wait for their return soon here..

I'm thinking it's because spring came early here this year; in the beginning of march instead of at the end....a very mild winter...
